Coyote house description
'Casa Rosa, Beautiful Gem of the Ocean'
Nestled in the lush hills overlooking Playa Coyote & the Pacific, here is a place where you feel time has stood still. The area is still not touched much by tourism. Wonderfully, it is one of the few remaining unspoiled areas of Costa Rica.
Melt into the sunsets in the classic Costa Rican triple arched great terrazzo and balconies, open to the Pacific breezes. Laze in the hammocks, soak up some sun or shade, and cool in the beautiful infinity pool with a whirlpool seating circle. Take a break from the tropical sun and retreat to our palm thatched rancho, take in the view of the surrounding hillsides and ocean.
Parrots, sea birds and howler monkeys keeping you company. Your own private secluded retreat, you may not want to leave here much at all, we don't when we are there.
'Casa Rosa' sits in a secluded region of Costa Rica, not readily accessible from North or South. No crowds, no noise except for nature. Just in front are two of the most beautiful and least visited beaches in all of Costa Rica. Playa Coyote in front and to the North, Playa De Oro, both isolated, tropical Palm fringed beaches of silver brown sand that are separated by the mouth of the Rio Jabilla. At low tide, walk through both sides on the flat warm sands.
We have built into our home, three generous bedroom, 'walk-out' suites, each with private large & airy full bathrooms, kitchen and all the comforts. Perfect for a couple or couples as a 1, 2, or 3 bedroom when we are away. Comes complete with caretaker and cleaning services, you will feel at home in our home. 'Mi casa es su casa'.
Playa Coyote has gentle rolling surf, safe for swimming without the concerns of rip tides. Perfect for beach walking and shell collecting. Within 2-3 KM, there are several Costa Rican bar-restaurants with very good affordable food, for eat in or take out. The cross roads of San Francisco Coyote offer two small, but nicely stocked stores and near by a fresh seafood stand. Sometimes in the morning, you can visit the local fishermen at Pto Coyote and purchase freshly caught fish.
Visit nearby Playa Caletas, a protected 10 KM long wilderness beach, and important turtle nesting area. With the Pretoma turtle hatchery camp midway on the beach.
Visit and hike the Karen Morgensen Reserve, a hidden midlevel jungle forest (45 min by car) with old growth forest, pristine waterfall and crystal clear natural swimming pools.
Guide services, horseback touring and local fishing charters are available.
Keywords: Classic open air design, 1 to 3 master suites available, plus loft. Infinity pool, Rancho,Grand Terrazo-your outside living room. 1/2 mi to beach, private & unspoiled.

What an amazing vacation we experienced at Casa Rosa! We rented the 2 BR, 2 Bath and we were just blown away by the beauty of the home and its location. We thoroughly enjoyed the pool and lazy afternoons in the hammock under the rancho. All the “extras” in this home make it just an incredible place to stay. The outdoor shower was great and we loved its convenience to the pool and the master bath. The home itself was extremely well equipped. There was truly nothing lacking! Anything we needed was there! The kitchen was well equipped, I could just go on and on. We have stayed in this area several times before. Coyote is one of our favorite spots in Costa Rica. Now that we have found Casa Rosa, we will definitely stay there again – and recommend it to our friends. We really appreciated the detailed introductory letter that we received from Julie & Bill – explaining all about the area restaurants and things to do. They thought of everything! What an attention to detail in every way! We are so grateful to them for making our recent trip so special.

Amazing relaxation and seclusion
Amazing relaxation and seclusion
We rented the 1 BR pool suite and could not have been happier. Julie clearly thought of everything to try to make the stay comfortable. Several little things made a big difference, such as Plastic wrap and dish soap in the kitchen. The pool and deck areas were perfect and the bed and sheets luxurious. We felt like royalty. Actually it felt like we got the keys from a favorite aunt and uncle because Julie was so kind to send lots of useful information that made our whole CR vacation better. Minor, the caretaker, was also kind and helpful. You must have a car and be prepared for driving on roads that to call "rough" would be an understatement. How this much luxury exists at the end of those roads is a mystery. The little village of Coyote had truly great food and most everything you could want. We also enjoyed driving to San Miguel for a slightly bigger town and a different beach. Our highlight was "discovering" the hidden beach where we were the only one for miles in each direction. Breakfast under the palapa looking over the hillside won't be soon forgotten. The stars at night are also breathtaking. All of which can be savored from your own patio or pool. The flora is tastefully done as well. This is the place to unwind, connect, and relax. We are already trying to figure out when we can come back.

About the owner: A Wisconsin family that fell in love with Costa Rica 12 years ago. Every time we came to Costa Rica, we found it more and more difficult to go home. Now that we have our beautiful home done, it is almost impossible. When we do, we start to plan our next trip back.
Why the Owner Chose Coyote:
After traveling to Costa Rica many times over the last 12 years, and visiting most destinations, we found that many of the first visited beautiful areas had turned too touristy. Then we stumbled into Coyote and instantly fell in love. Not only for the location, but also the people. Truly, a still unspoiled part of the world.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
Custom tropical home designed by us, and with the help of an inspired Costa Rican architect, Casa Rosa takes advantage of the ocean and mountain breezes. Numerous ceiling hung fans, and open air ceilings with a double venting roof that naturally lifts warm air up & out, leaving the main massive solid concrete-stucco structure & floors cool and comfortable . Carefully completed after 2 years in (2012), by a local master craftsman & woodwork expert. Extensive use of local & exotic woods, including a stunning teak hand made circular stairway. Custom-made doors cabinetry, & furniture combine to make the entire house flow together. Very comfortable and relaxing.
