We welcome you to Misty Meadow Cottage and hope your stay is peaceful, restful and enjoyable. Our cottage is located on the beautiful, Tusquitee Creek in picturesque Clay County, NC.

Misty Meadow is a 1940’s fieldstone cottage on four acres that has been recently updated and offers old fashioned charm with lots of privacy. This fully furnished cottage offers plenty of room for the entire family.

A spacious deck compliments this cottage and directly overlooks our Rainbow Trout, stocked pond. Regional wildlife can be seen constantly, from an array of fish populating the creek and pond to local birds and animals.

This peaceful setting provides quiet relaxation, but with the endless array of activities to choose from this cottage is sure to fit all your vacation needs.

If you are interested in fishing, we have the vacation spot for you. As our guest you will enjoy the use of our creek frontage along the rushing Tusquitee Creek, one of the premiere wild trout fisheries in the Southeast or you can cast your line into Misty Meadow's pond.

Sitting on the deck on the rustic furniture is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the panoramic view of the pond, the meadow and the Tusquitee Mountain range in the distance.

It may be a 60-year old farmhouse, but Misty Meadow Cottage has been completely renovated and updated with modern conveniences. New central heating & air conditioning will provide you with a comfortable visit any time of year.

The living room has plenty of seating where you can get cozy on cooler nights with the gas log stove. The kitchen is equipped with an automatic dishwasher and a microwave oven.

The two downstairs bedrooms are well appointed with new queen size beds (one with a Select Comfort adjustable airbed) and luxurious bedding . The upstairs bedroom has two twin beds, perfect for adults and children and both baths are complete with tubs and showers.

Smoking is not permitted inside the cottage. If you must, please smoke outside only. Also we can not accommodate pets.

While you will be staying in the quiet rural countryside, you are an easy 20-30 minute drive from great dining spots, historic sightseeing, evening entertainment and exciting outdoor activities.

The cottage is about eight miles from Hayesville where you will find the nearest large grocery store, hardware store, drug store as well as numerous restaurants.

Linens are not included in the rental price. There are two options, you can bring your own or you may use the high quality linens that we have available.

If you use ours we request that you wash, dry, fold and return them to their containers in the closet prior to your departure. If you find that you do not have time to do this, the housekeeper will perform this service for you for a fee.

We are sure that you will enjoy your stay. Misty Meadow Cottage is our family summer cottage and is the place of many happy memories and we are sure that you also will have many happy memories of your own here as well.
