Although built in 1872, we fully restored our Victorian from`1977-79 so it offers turn of the century charm with modern conveniences. Located within blocks of Hwy 24 and within minutes for I-25 it is an easy drive to over 25 local attractions, including Garden of the Gods, USAFA, Cheyenne Mtn. Zoo, Cave of the Winds, etc. Manitou is a wonderful place for a vacation with many special events during the year which you can preview at the Chamber of Commerce website. For the people in your family who want to be able to walk to the shops, restaurants, galleries and events in Manitou, then this is the ideal home. The Victorian is 3,200 sq ft and located at 109 Pawnee Avenue in Manitou Springs, CO 80829.
The backyard is a great outdoor gathering space, handicapped accessible with electric lighting. It has a gas grill with granite countertops, gas fireplace with outdoor dining area, a water feature, seating for up to 50 people, A gazebo and the original Manitou Jail with a ping pong table, half basketball court, lawn for croquet and horse shoe pit. New, this year are a children’s playset and six adult bikes, three children’s bikes and a child’s trailer for the local bike paths. (Bikes must be reserved in advance.) The Manitou Springs Library is across the street where free concerts are held on Tuesday nights and the city hosts a band in Soda Springs Park on Monday nights which is within easy walking distance.

House is beautiful and large! We had 9 of us in the house and never once felt we needed more space. The location in downtown Manitou could not be better. Very clean and updated. You’ll love the large grounds and grilling area. Very kid friendly. We will be back.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with young children, sightseeing, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, girls getaway.

The house was great for our family reunion of 12. The house is completely furnished and we all enjoyed the old charm of this renovated Vitorian House. The patio was a wonderful feature to entertain for a dinner for 40 people. The kitchen was well equipped to cook the meal and the grill worked well to grill the meat, and the grill area worked well to serve beverages. Even during rainy weather the patio area is protected by trees. The dining area includes a large table and offered a great family gathering area. The location is perfect to walk to the downtown area of Manitou Springs and is located very close and convienent to many area attractions. The owners were attentive to our needs when we called them with questions. The house needs some upkeep but was a great fit for our short stay. This house rental is a must see to appreciate it's charm. I would rent this house again for a large family get- together.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, families with young children, sightseeing, families with teenagers.

My family and I enjoyed the spacious well maintained property, and was consistent with the descriptions and photos, and indeed right in the middle of Manitou springs with all its amenities, shopping, parks, toutist activities. It was not air conditioned when we arrived, pending repairs, the owner did tell us about it, she was gracious and helpful. Even more when she spontaneously and generously compensated us when the Waldo Canyon fire forced us to evacuate in the middle of our contracted rental period.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, tourists without a car, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with young children, sightseeing, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, girls getaway.

Our family stayed here a couple weeks ago and we were thrilled. There were 9 of us...5 of which were children between 6 and 12 yrs. The backyard was a savior! Lots for them to do (bikes, ping pong table, scooters, basketball, etc). Lots of room for everyone to spread out. We loved the backyard grill, countertops, tables and fireplace. It was the perfect place to entertain, which was great for us since my in-laws live 5 minutes away. The house was beautiful and very clean and in a perfect location as we walked to downtown Manitou every day. We will stay here every time we visit!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with young children, sightseeing, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, girls getaway.
