Truly a four seasons destination located just one and a half miles from Hawksnest Mountain resort and close to Sugar, Beech and Appalachian mountain resorts.
In spring and summer enjoy the cool weather and numerous outdoor activities including hiking, golf, sightseeing, rafting, fishing, mountain biking and horseback riding.
Great nearby shopping, antiques, crafts, art galleries, outlet mall and wonderful home decorating shops. Grandfather Mountain is just minutes away, stocked trout ponds in the private Lakes Community and the nearby Watauga River for fly fishing enthusiast.
Breathtaking colors of the Blue Ridge Parkway area in the fall round out a year of fun and relaxation.
The beautifully furnished log cabin is just one and two-tenths miles off of Highway 105 and is easily accessible by a state maintained paved road.
Sleeping arrangements include a queen bed in master bedroom, queen bed in second bedroom, queen sleeper sofa and full futon bed in loft area. We recommend no more than 6 adults and or teens to enjoy a comfortable stay. The loft is large enough to offer a second TV/VCR or play some foosball. The cabin is also equipped with wireless high speed internet access.
Relax and enjoy the view from rocking chair covered front porch or in front of the stone fireplace with gas logs. Enjoy the screened-in back porch and covered deck with gas barbecue grill.

My family and I enjoyed a magical experience here Thanksgiving 2004. It snowed! The whole neighberhood looked like a Currier and Ives postcard. We enjoyed the hominess and well thought out comforts. We are already making plans for summer!
