Winter time get on your sled and ride across the pond to catch one of many groomed snowmobile trails, or ride into town and enjoy a meal at one of our many restaurants.
The Appalacian trail, Saddleback mountain and many hiking trails are all just miles away, enjoy a long walk or a short friendly family hike. Fall brings the most beautiful vibrant colors in the mountains for all to enjoy. Rangeley is well know for having many Moose in the area seeing these large animals is very exciting for our tourist who spend many hours on route 16 waiting to view one come out of the woods. Fishing on our prestine lakes and ponds is another way to enjoy the rangeley area and we have many experienced guides to help you find your way.
Those that love to hunt will find that Rangeley has many moose,turkey,bear and smaller animals that can be hunted in the appropriate seasons.
We have sightseeing flights in the many small planes flown by local pilots, giving you the chance to see the area from above.

About the owner: We live in N.H. and hope to retire in Rangeley in 8 more years. We bought our Kastle on Haley pond as we were snowmobiling and got tired of renting other peoples places, so now we have two places in Rangeley(one on the big lake) that we also rent and are in the process of building our dream house on Judkins road in rangley to retire to soon. We have two grown sons and one grandson who is 8 and loves to come to THE FOREST he calls it as he is from Florida, We enjoy taking day trips hiking the many trails with him, he loves that he can ride his bike and we love that we do not have to worry about the cars, as our private road gves us that sense of protection from the traffic. Neil is a private pilot and we will have our two seater plane he built on the lake when we retire, right now he is a caretaker to a youth camp with 56 building and an olympic pool he takes care of. I am a home based daycare provider and love having the kids around to keep me young.I also make quilst to donate to local charities that may need them. Our oldest son lives in Cal. and works for NASA as a chief safety inspector. Our youngest works as a well driller and owns his own landscaping business. We love being in Rangeley and look forward to the time when we can call it our HOME and enjoy what so many of our guest have said they enjoy anout our places.
