It was a good place to stay, especially for the price. There was only one bathroom with a shower (no tub). There were nice furnishings, and it was a nice location. Beautiful property.

We loved this place for our family weekend. The house is spacious for a large family to use. The kitchen was amazing. We had a birthday party for the kids and it was great to use the large porches and yard to throw a fun kid friendly farm themed extravaganza.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay in this cabin this past weekend. With lots of room for visiting with friends, I particularly liked the spacious kitchen area combined with the living room area. We could all stay as a group, but not have to stay in the same room. Can't wait to go back.

I just spend one of the most memerable Christmas Holidays with my family. We all met (10 of us and 2 dogs) and hung out and ate, watched movies and just enjoyed the fact that we were all together. Kitchen and living room were all one room so no one was left out. If you know what country living is all about and want some good time with the family I would recommend this place. Close enough to visit the sites in Chattanooga yet return to play some games in peace or just take a nap. The owners were wonderful and helpful when we needed them yet gave us room to enjoy our own time.

If you are looking for luxury you should look elsewhere, if you are looking for quiet and peaceful this is a good place. We found the home to look exactly as it was showing in the pictures; it was rustic, quiet and peaceful. The owners were great folks and are working on making this a great rental home. We were 25 mins from Chattanooga and the ride to and from was great. One can be in the Outlook Mts of GA in only mins. Lots to see in this area. We also were able to buy some wood for the fire pit and enjoyed several nights just sitting around the fire. I would suggest a few minor things be added to the home; some basics if you will. kitchen towels, a cutting board so that the counter tops will not be damaged a strainer was needed and would be a great help and an ironing board and iron would be wonderful additions too. There is no full length mirror there to get ready for special outtings. Perhaps a few fold up chairs for around the fire that can be easier stored away. Most important to us is that there is Internet available the next time, as business owners it made if very difficult to keep up on things. As I said the owners are wonderful people and I'm sure that more and more things will be added. I would reccomend this property to others and I really hope that they will add internet access, if so we'll be back again.

Our family had such an awesome time at this destination! We were greeted with fresh vegetables from the organic garden on our first day. We were also able to learn about gardening and pick fresh vegetables with the owners family. We even got to learn how to can peaches and made birdhouses. It was an awesome experience. The house was roomy. My only suggestion would be a sofa sleeper or 2 in the living room and a bedset in that one bedroom. We had plenty of room and the place was clean and spacious with the comforts of home. They even provided us with 2 fishing poles to use. The kids had a great time. there was plenty to do. We had 6 kids between 1 and 7, along with 5 kids between 13 and 18. Hiking in the woods was also a blast. All were thrilled with this place, Thanks for the excellent experience.

over all stay was okay, as far as the place being clean, we had problems with pet hair all over the place, as well as human hair in the kitchen ove the stove and in the bathroom. Place was also full of spiders and spider webs.

Upon arrival, I noticed that the exterior of the house was unclean - bird poop down the side and duck poop all over the porch. There was also not a grill. We called the owners and they came and sprayed off the porch and purchased a grill for the house. The inside of the house was very roomy and the kitchen was nice. However, the entire house was in need of a deep clean. The moldings, window blinds, and windowsills were dirty and the ceilings were stained. The house also felt like it was in the middle of being remodeled. There was spackle in some areas including the bathroom. The bathroom also only has a small shower, no bathtub, which I wish we had known since we were traveling with two small children. The towel bar in the bathroom kept falling off the door. One area was locked. The owner said they were adding a bathroom. One bedroom, the one with the reading nook had a hole cut into the wall, which I believe was to be utilized as a closet. The seals on the exterior doors were damaged and need to be replaced to prevent bugs from entering at night. There was an office chair on the back porch, definitely not porch furniture. I feel like the owners neglected to go check out the house before we arrived. The house has lots of potential, but it certainly needs some work. There also needs to be a list to inform guests of checkout times and just the basic rules of the house. We were unsure of what to do with our garbage, linens, etc. and had to call the owners a couple of times. There is a pond in the back yard of the house and we did catch a fish, which was really fun for my five year old. There is plenty of room outside to play and the fire pit allowed for roasting marshmallows and making s'mores. We also picked wild blackberries which were growing near the house. It took us about 20 minutes to get to downtown Chattanooga if we stayed on the interstate. It was definitely close enough to travel downtown each day.

Owner response: Thank you for your input Michelle, I am glad you had a good time even though this was not up to par for you. We will definitely, take care of all the items that you addressed, sometimes when you own a place, you get use to items that need taken care of. I will go through the home with a vacationers eye, and see if I find anything else that needs taken care of. As for the bird poop, on the wall, we do continually wash this off, because the Ducks like to come on the porch and greet people, and there were birds nesting in the eaves, Gary is putting boards up to keep the birds from nesting and I am at my witts end to figure out how to keep the Ducks off the porch. I will figure it out though.

There are a few suggestions we can make to improve the rental experience, however, we enjoyed our selves immensely and thank you for the opportunity to visit with our daughter while on vacation. Your place was so much more accomodating than an hotel. Ideas to improve are: 1) more towels or a washer/dryer to allow us to do our own towels, 2) more toilet paper when you have 5 people staying, 3) extra blankets-two of the bedrooms don't have vents or sufficient heat, 4) curtains on the bedroom windows, 5) basics such as salt and pepper and matches for the fire ring outside, 6) dressers or something in the bedrooms to put your suitcases on. Overall, the place was wonderful and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The kids loved that pond and the fishing. Your neighbor was very helpful in advising on how to fish and providing bait. Thank you for renting to us.
