  The hotel was beautiful. Everyone that worked was very pleasant. There was no way 7-8 people could sleep in the room. There was only beds for 5 people. I would stay there again in a heartbeat.

  Recommended for: People with disabilities, girls getaway.

  We had a great time at this beautiful resort. The room was exactly as what was shown in the photos. The beds were very comfortable. The view from the balcony was great. There were enough towels for the 3 of us although I read complaints about that by others. The hotel's restaurant served a wonderful morning breakfast on the veranda. Would highly recommend and look forward to returning in the future. The pool was nice and enjoyed the pool towel and blankets they laid out on the chaise lounges for us to use.

  Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

  This was my family's 7th time back to Pelican Grand Beach Hotel. The first five times I rented directly from the hotel and these last two years from private owners through VRBO. Unfortunatly I was very disappointed with the accomodations of this unit. There were several things in need of replacement and maintenance. I contacted the manager, Angelo, and although he got back to me, none of the problems were addressed. I also sent him an e-mail with all the issues listed, as requested. Generalized cleanliness also needs improvement. This is a high end Hotel property, so the rooms should reflect the same high quality. When this amount of money is paid for a room (bedroom, den) everything should be in working order, very clean, with undamaged furniture and appliances. This unit is in definate need of upgrading. I hope the owner complies.

  Our stay in unit 824 was absolutely perfect. You could not get a better ocean view! This is also one of the largest ocean front rooms I've stayed in with the den adding to the space. The resort was wonderful and relaxing. The pool is PERFECT and the lazy river (the only one is fort lauderdale) is even better. They serve cocktails by the pool and you can bring them to the beach, pool, room or lazy river. We never had a single complaint about the exceptional luxury resort service we received. The beach side service also includes set up chairs, umbrellas, water, towels...everything! The only thing you need is your swim suit. The only downfall is that we found it hard to find anything to do in the near area around the resort. We preferred for this vacation to stay in and relax, which was ok but we did notice that it would have been difficult to find recreational things to do during the day in the area. The night life is supposed to be "happening" but that's not for us. We prefer cocktails by the pool:) All in all, we would go back for another exceptional vacation on at one of the most luxurious resorts on the ocean in this area.

  The suite was very clean and nice. Everything was first rate. Wonderful layout for a family vacation. This was our 3rd time there and it was everything we had hoped.

  This property is amazing and luxurious. I was worried that by renting from an owner instead of the hotel that we'd be treated differently or not have access to all the amenities, but that was far from the case. The one and only thing we didn't have was housekeeping daily, and since we clean up after ourselves it was not a big deal. There isn't anything within walking distance of the hotel, but I would trade that for having a beachfront property. None of the other hotels in Fort Lauderdale are on the beach. Pelican Grand has beach towels, lounge chairs, and umbrellas all included. They also have waiters on the beach serving food and drinks. Another perk you won't get at any other hotel in Lauderdale. The food and drinks onsite are good, but pricey. Fortunately, our suite had a fridge, microwave, and coffee maker so we just went to the store and picked up a few things to eat. There are some souvenir shops a couple of miles away and the pizza place on the corner is AWESOME! Fort Lauderdale has bike rental stations, with one directly in front of the hotel so if you don't have little kids you can easily ride a bike to the shops. Be aware there is no wi-fi in the room, only down on the main floor of the hotel. There IS wired internet in the room.

  I can't say enough about this condo. It was clean, and well stocked with towels, bedding etc. The view is incredible. As for the Pelican itself you will not find a nicer property directly on the beach. The staff if TOP NOTCH. Valet is fast. Front desk very helpful, making for an overall great experience. If you are in and out a lot with a vehicle I recommend you use the on street parking by the hour so not to rely on valet during the day. Great for families, couples or groups.

  Condo Manager Angelo was very helpful with all of our requests and in a timely manner. Best place we have stayed in Fort Lauderdale or Florida ever. Every night we spent time on the veranda relaxing and enjoying the atmosphere and view. Every day we spent time on the beach, ocean, lazy river and pool. The hotel staff treated us the same as if we were renting a hotel room. Main restaurant was very pricy but bar restaurant had good food and good prices. Room was not only beautiful but met all our needs plus. The pictures you see on this site are what you get. If you what a beautiful place to stay. Talk to Angelo it will be worth your time. I have notice that little thing happen in all vacations from pricy parking to other basic issues. We try not to let any of these things ruin our vacations. We spend a whole year planning and anticipating our time away and do not have time to ruin it with whining and bitching about small things. I hope other people are the same.

  We visit every year. Always want to stay longer. The unit 824 had a great view and lots of space. There is some maintainence needed. But what doesn't need that! Flat screen tv's and dvd player would be a nice touch. Angelo was exceptional and very helpful. Yes, we would stay again.
