Through the kitchen window and front door, you have a view of the intercoastal and the sunrises.
THE CONDO: Cane Palm Beach Condominiums are located on the most desirable north end of the Island. This beachfront unit overlooks the waters of the Gulf of Mexico. It is often said to be “The best location on Fort Myers Beach!” It is a pleasant walk to restaurants, bars and shopping via the beach or the sidewalk. Sit by the pool and listen to the rustle of the palm trees or sit on the broad white, sandy beach and relax as you listen to the rhythm of the surf. Full-sized lounge chairs are provided by the pool and on the beach. The pool even has a Tiki Hut for shade.
AMMENITIES: The unit was completely updated and redecorated in late 2010. It has a modern décor with two bedrooms, two baths and is on the sixth floor looking directly onto the Gulf. The kitchen and bathrooms have quartz counter tops. The kitchen is fully stocked with all of the cooking utensils you will need for any length of stay. You can choose to watch your favorite shows on one of 3 flat screen HD televisions: in the living room, the master bedroom or the second bedroom. There is a DVD player in the living room. Wi-Fi is available for your use. From your private screened balcony you will see amazing wildlife such as dolphins, manatees, pelicans, blue herons, eagles, and osprey. Enjoy the parade of boats on their way out to the gulf. Complimentary covered parking for this unit, which is especially nice during the hotter months.
DINING: We have a fully stocked kitchen with everything you will need to create home cooked meals. Downstairs there are two Weber Barbecue Grills and a beautifully landscaped area for you to enjoy your meals outdoors. If you prefer to have someone else wait on you…then it is only a short walk down the beach or the sidewalk to some of the best restaurants that feature Florida’s freshest seafood such as jumbo shrimp, sweet scallops, succulent crab and grouper. Most of the restaurants have live entertainment. There is a beachside social room with a full kitchen for your use on the ground floor of the building.
THINGS TO DO: It is a five-minute walk to Times Square where you can shop and enjoy the “island way” of life. You can even rent fishing equipment on the Pier. In the evenings you will find local entertainment in the square. You can relax in the sun or walk the beach and look for amazing seashells. Fort Myers Beach is well known as a place to find exotic seashells. Nearby you can rent anything from bikes to boats and paddleboards to wave runners. You can golf, take a Segway tour, go on sunset boats, go on a gambling cruise, take a deep-sea fishing excursion, parasail, and go on a dolphin excursions.
The Boston Red Sox, Minnesota Twins and the Tampa Bay Rays spring training facilities are all within a 20-60 minute drive. In the spring you can catch a Major League Spring Training game or during the regular season you can see a Minor League game. Sanibel Island is a lovely 20 minute ride where you will find beautiful beaches and the world famous 'Ding' Darling National Wildlife Refuge. The Thomas Edison and Henry Ford Winter Estates are next to downtown Fort Myers where you can join a tour to learn about the lives of these American historical figures. There are two main outlet malls in the area with a wide range of shops. Fort Myers Beach also has a great public trolley system that will take you from the north end of the beach all the way to Bonita Beach for a very small charge.
GETTING HERE: Fly into beautiful Fort Myers Airport where car rentals are available onsite. Drive approximately 30 minutes to your piece of paradise. You will be in awe as you cross the bridge to the Island and the beach. Sparkling gulf waters and local fishing boats are the scenery that greets you. My fiance and I stayed here in January and had a wonderful time. The first night we arrived we were tired from traveling and decided to order a pizza and stay in. We watch the sunset from our balcony...one of the best sunsets I've ever seen! We had a great time seeing the sights and just enjoying the Florida life. The condo was comfortable and had a fun beachy theme. Everything we wanted was close at hand. We could walk down to the square where there were beach shops and some good seafood restaurants. We especially enjoyed the Smokin Oyster Brewery, a complete dive but really good food and the best drinks too. The beach at Cane Palm Condo was the biggest on the island and the sand was nice and soft. There are all sorts of places on the beach for rentals such as kayaks, paddle boards and bikes. I would definitely suggest this place to anyone who wants a comfortable and relaxing vacation but with plenty of things to do when you are all beached out. PS. We'll definitely be back!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, sightseeing.

Arriving at an immaculatly clean setting was a relief. You are never are sure what you are getting into until you get there. We were traveliing with a friend. She assured us this was a great place. She was right! Security gate. Elevator up. And what a beautiful open setting, clean and refreshing with a view to die for. The beach expanded fully across the living area patio doorway. We all found ourselves sipping our favorite beverages and working jigsaw puzzles (kindly provided by the owner) on the screened patio during our down times. Our favorite rest time activity was to sit near the beach, read a book, sleep, just listen to the waves, or walk the beach at low tide. You can see all sorts of live sea life. Creatures I've only seen in captivity. I was amazed and delighted. The beach crowds are down the shore a bit. I felt like the beach belonged to me. But only so much rest! There is also parasailing. At 59, I finaly got up the courage to parasail with a friend. wow. If you haven't done it. It is blissful, almost meditative once you are up. Very strange affect. Then there's shopping, dinning. and all of this is within walking distance of the condo .Of course you can get in your car to add to your sightseeing, we did that too. Want to spend a day in? Everything you need is right there. Make dinner, relax. The furnishings are current, fashionable and comfortable. Grab a chair in front of the television, whatever you wish. I've already reccomended Cane Palm to friends. I plan to come back!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Everything promised and more. The perfect romantic desitnation. Very Confy, so relaxing, so many good places to eat. The decor was VERY nice. The huge white sane private beach was just incredible. We shall be back for sure.Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

About the owner: We inherited this condo 2010 and completely refurbished it, It has been our family vacation retreat since 1978, the location is the premium part of Fort Myers Beach. The building is well maintained and offers so many amenities. Short drive to the airport, shopping and excursions. Wonderful restaurants and night life. Fort Myers Beach also is far enough south to enjoy warmer winter temperatures than other northern Florida destinations. This condominium provides on site management and maintenance staff to ensure a perfect vacation.
