Luxury top floor 2 bed/2 bath villa (1200 sf) overlooking the beautifully landscaped pool area and the Atlantic Ocean. Less than 1/2 mile from Coligny Plaza, a popular shopping and dining area. The Shorewood is a highly-desirable gated complex located on one of Hilton Head Islands best beaches.
Villa renovations were completed in May, 2012. *Everything* is new--we gutted to the walls. The theme is low-country/coastal, with ocean blue, taupe, white and navy decor. The walls are painted a sandy-taupe and the floors are a neutral 18x18 tile, with area rugs in the living room and bedrooms for added comfort. You will know you are at the beach!
The kitchen is well-equipped for cooking meals if you wish, including calphalon pots and pans and a countertop grill/waffle maker/panini press. The blue pearl granite countertop extends into the dining area to serve as a breakfast bar. The new white appliances include a full size refrigerator with an ice maker, a glass-top stove, dishwasher, and under-counter front-loading HE washer and dryer. HE detergent is provided, as well as dishwashing liquid, dishwasher powder, etc.
The master bath has a white cultured marble walk in shower, a white vanity with a Santa Cecilia granite countertop and a comfort height toilet. The guest bath has a white cultured marble shower/tub combination, also with a white vanity with Santa Cecilia granite countertop and comfort height toilet.
There are all new furnishings throughout. Since this is our home away from home, we have nice, SUPER COMFY beds with lots of pillows in both the master and guest bedrooms. There is a king in the master bedroom and a queen and twin in the guest bedroom. There is also a queen sofa bed in living room. In total, the villa can comfortably sleep 6.
The living room has a 40' HD flat screen TV and a dvd player. Both bedrooms have 32' HD TVs that are wall-mounted. The villa has unlimited long distance to the US and is wi-fi equipped.
Outside: Relax and have a cocktail on the balcony, accessible by both the living room and master bedroom and gaze out over the ocean. The ocean is gorgeous for both sunrises and sunsets. The beautifully landscaped pool area is just below the balcony, so you can check on the kids while you are (briefly) making the frozen cocktails for you and dad/mom. (just sayin'...)
Other notable amenities: We are on the 5th (top) floor and yes, there is an elevator! Our Shorewood building is the only one with its own under-cover parking directly beneath the building, along with additional outside parking. We have a keyless entry lock, so you don't have to keep track of keys and the kids can come and go as they please. We are just steps to the pool and the beach. The pool area has a hot tub, kiddie pool and a zero entry main pool, along with a restroom just off of the pool area. The pool is heated in October, November, March and April. The hot tub is heated year-round.
The on-island villa management company provides a check in packet with coupons and information on the various island events and services (golf, biking, restaurants, etc). GOLFERS: golf packages available; TENNIS PLAYERS: one free hour of tennis per day. Services available for additional, reasonable fees: Daily or interim maid service; crib and rollaway rentals; bicycle rentals; babysitting and children's programs.
Rental policy: 30% down to hold the reservation, with the balance due 45 days prior to check in. Weekly or monthly rentals only. Please check the calendar before you ask about availability. I update the calendar weekly, at the minimum.

We really enjoyed our week on Hilton Head Island. I don't believe you will find a better location to stay on the Island. The complex is located just a block from Coligny Plaza which has over 60 shops and restaurants. Everything that you need is within walking distance which is really convenient. The pools and hot tub are fantastic! The condo was really nice and looks just like the pictures. The ocean and pool view from the condo is also a huge perk. I would highly recommend this unit to anyone.Recommended for: Sightseeing, people with disabilities, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

My family of 5 had a very memorable stay at this condo. My husband and I, with my 2 children, and my mom all slept very comfortably in this 2 bedroom condo. The updates were done beautifully, and the furnishings were nice as well. The view was worth the 5 flights of stairs (the elevator was broke on arrival)---but was fixed within 2 hours of calling the office. :) I will definitely try to book this location again!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

The listing description of our property was totally accurate. The photos were also accurate, but did not do justice to the beautifully decorated condo. My husband and I stayed for 1 week and traveled with 3 other families. We had a dinner night and traveled to each condo for different phases of our meal. We hosted appertizers and cocktails. I believe my cousins will very likely book 2 weeks next year in August. #537 stood out from all the other condos. Our weather did not fully cooperate, but we totally enjoyed our visit to the island. #537 was clean, very well maintained and had all the amenities we needed. Thank you for a wonderful stay. ***** 5 stars from us.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, people with disabilities, tourists without a car, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.
