My husband and I spent the month of January in this house, and it was just perfect for us. The place was very clean and well stocked with linens, kitchen utensils, and cleaning supplies. Even band aids in the bathroom! The rooms and closets are very generously sized. Everything was as advertised, and better. It is beautifully decorated and feels like a real home, not a generic rental. We loved going for walks in the residential neighborhood and coming back and sitting on the covered patio to watch the shadows on the mountain and the sun go down. We put out bird seed and filled the hummingbird feeders and had great fun watching them also. This house has a quiet, rural feel, but is conveniently located to get to any where in Tucson. The owner was extremely helpful and friendly, and we hit it off immediately. He lives next door and has wonderful stories going back to the 60's to tell about the property and neighborhood if you ask him. The only disappointment was a weak internet signal. My iPad mini could not get a signal, but my laptop did, so just be aware if that is an issue for you. It wasn't for us. We've already booked this lovely house for next year and look forward to a repeat of a wonderful stay.

Owner response: Thank you for your great review and suggestions. I am looking forward to your stay next January. I have corrected the internet signal with a booster/repeater and even my Ipad mini works with a full signal in and around the home. Thanks again! ...see you next year!

We felt at home immediately! The spacious bedrooms, great room with modern full kitchen, and convenient laundry room made our stay very enjoyable. It is kept immaculate. It is truly a getaway home. It was close to sights and shopping as well. The hosts were available for any questions. We will definitely be back for a longer stay next time.

My sister and I stayed in this beautiful home while visiting with family. It is very well built, maintained and left us wanting for nothing. The owner is more than happy to go out of his way to assist you and make your stay more enjoyable. The history of Casas Adobe is very interesting and the views breathtaking. We will be looking forward to staying here again in the future.

My family of four (kids age 6 and 9) had a terrific stay at this lovely guest house over Thanksgiving. We previously lived in Tucson and really enjoyed being back. The house is has a simple, peaceful feeling and is well lit. It is decorated with an array of interesting Southwestern art. It clearly feels like it was built to be used and enjoyed by the owner and his family, as opposed to a generic "rental property." It sits on a large former ranch in a pleasant residential area. The location is close to the Ina and Oracle intersection with its shops, restaurants and supermarkets. The Tohono Chul Park and Tea House are also quite convenient, and the Tucson Mall is not far. It is very clean and comfortable, well stocked with linens and towels, has a fully equipped kitchen and a separate laundry room. The owner lives on the property in a separately fenced off house and is very available and helpful if any questions arise. The location and amenities were perfect for our week plus stay, and we would certainly consider returning on future visits.

I have stayed in vrbos and other vacation rentals all over the world. This was, without a doubt, one of the very best. It is lovely inside and out. The house itself is beautifully furnished and decorated and has all of the amenities of home. It was clean and well maintained and we wanted for nothing. The house is centrally located and within easy driving of all of Tucson's wonderful tourist spots yet has the privacy and quiet of the desert. We had a wonderful time and Robert was a great host. I would definitely chose this rental for a return visit.

Year Purchased: 1999
About the owner: I grew up on this property and moved back to it in 1999. A year after my father passed my mother had it up on the market and almost sold to a devoloper who was going to tear it all down...I bought it.
Why the Owner Chose Casas Adobes:
I actually built the home that you will be staying in...with my own two hands! It was for my mother...someone had to keep an eye on her. She lived in the home for 5 1/2 years. It's super insulated, extremely quiet and energy efficient.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
My guest home is close to everything. Lakes in 1-2 hrs. ...snow on the mountain tops in an hour. Golf in ten minutes, fine dining in 15...the list goes on! 'In the country, just 5 minutes from town.'
