Our family of 6 had a great week, and this place worked well for us. The location is perfect for accessing public transportation. It is an easy 3 block walk to Union Station where the closest Metro station is located. There is also a bike rental shop at Union Station which worked well for touring the memorials with kids. The listing description and pictures are very accurate, and the beer and wine in the fridge was a nice touch. The neighborhood was quiet. A welcome surprise was a brand new grocery store that opened up at the end of the block. We would stay here again. Enjoy your trip to DC!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, families with young children, families with teenagers, sightseeing.

This place was just wonderful! Mark was so accomodating to all of our needs and answered all of our inquires with promptness. We loved the location and loved the fact that the neighborhood is "up and coming". We took Mark's recommendation for dinner reservations at Ris in Dupont Circle and it was fabulous! We ordered pizza from H & Pizza on H Street and loved it!. We didn't use the metro much. It was so easy to just walk to H street and hail a cab. All in all, it was a wonderful place to visit D.C. and spend some relaxing time with our family. We will be back again!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, families with young children, families with teenagers, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

The listing and photos are very accurate. This place is about 3 blocks from the Union Station Metro so it is a perfect location on a beautiful tree lined street. It has a perfect amount of space for 4-6 people. You can sleep comfortably and not be stepping all over each other. The decor and artwork are amazing. Everything was clean and well maintained. The information provided was very helpful. You can walk to everything, attractions and restaurants. But you can also hop on the Metro and go as far as you like.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, families with young children, families with teenagers, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+.

The home was clean and comfortable. Looked as it did in the photos. Loved the convenience of the location. The owner's letter to renters says that while it's an "up and coming neighborhood" one needs to be mindful of the neighborhood at night. There was a lot of street noise at night, including sirens, yelling, and one night, fireworks which initially sounded like gunfire. We felt comfortable walking around during the day or dusk, but I wouldn't walk around at night.A grocery store is opening a block away which will be very nice for future renter's. Without a car the nearby grocery shopping is extremely limited. Despite that, we enjoyed our stay.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+.

We stayed here with our three children while my husband had business on the Hill. It was prefect - the girls and I could walk to the metro and Union Station and can go anywhere from there. We were very comfortable - all the furnishings were first rate - towels, bed linens. kitchen "stuff". It was much nicer than the pictures show - and we will be back!!!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, families with young children, families with teenagers, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+.

What a thrill it was to hire this apartment for the 6 nights that we were in Washington DC. The facilities, location, assess, vicinity, ... were first class. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and plan to return at some stage in the near future. The owner was very communicative and accessible. Overall, our stay in DC was enhanced by the quality and accessibility of this lavishly appointed apartment.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+.

This was a perfect setting for our Washington DC trip. It's a very manageable walk to Union station (3-5 blocks, I never really counted) in a quiet neighborhood. We loved being in the house so much that, instead of going out to dinner on Saturday night, we brought it in and ate in the elegant dining room making it much more special than fighting crowds. Four adults could comfortably stay here (as long as one couple doesn't mind a full-size bed). There are plenty of bathrooms. We had four adults and two 2 year olds, and it worked just fine. Kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed. Our favorite part about the house was how it was appointed. The owners have incredible taste in art, and it shows. Also, Mark went out of his way (twice) to help us with parking passes. He was so accomodating. He even left some treats for us in the fridge (I hope that was for us, anyway). I whole-heartedly recommend this home-away-from-home.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, tourists without a car, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+.
