The apt has lovely views- for the 10 days we stayed here we felt safe and had 83 degree temperature each day but never had to use the air conditioner because of the lovely breeze. While the pool was out of commission during our stay we were a two minute drive from the beach. This unit is very close to a marina that has a variety of snorkel and sailing tours to the various small islands which you can see from the balcony. We love to cook our own dinners and we had everything we needed including spices. Jose is a great host and gives you enough literature about the area to allow us to shop and explore the area. A car is needed since there are only a handful of stores within walking distance. It was perfect spot to celebrate our anniversary.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Jose was friendly and accomodating from the moment we met him. He gave us great directions to the rental property and met us at our car with a smile. He took us for a ride around the area showing us all of the good restaurants to eat at, where to shop for groceries and what to do in Fajardo. The property itself was beautiful and very clean. Jose welcomed us in and made us feel at home. Everything you need is there and in working condition. The view from the balcony is spectacular and we enjoyed drinks on the balcony many of the nights. The entire experience was perfect.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

This was our first trip to Puerto Rico and a friend recommended Fajardo. He was absolutely spot-on! Away from the madness and traffic of San juan and close to the Islands of Vieques and Culebra, the El Yunque National Forest and a plethora of great swimming and diving beaches. You definitely need a car to get around and to get to local eateries of which there are plenty. The owner, Jose, could not have been more helpful. He met us at the condo, helped us get set up and then gave us the local rundown about where to go, where to eat, where to get groceries, and above all else, how to enjoy this great location. The condo is on the 28th floor and is perfect for a couple or a couple with kids. The pictures on the VRBo site were absolutely accurate and the view is as spectacular as shown. It offers an amazing view of the marina's, the Caribbean and the offshore islands. The breeze is just about perfect and you rarely have to use the air conditioning. The local restaurants are much better and much less expensive than the ones recommended by the "tourist guides," We paricularly enjoyed La Ola Tapas Bar, Pescaderia, and Tasca OleLelolai. The nicest of the three is Tasca and somewhat more expensive but worth it, great people, an excellent wine list and specials that are usually the freshest of seafoods and superbly prepared. Pescaderia (and I may have misspelled the name but it is right next door to La Ola) deep fries an entire fish, snapper, and it is exceptional. If deep fried isn't at the top of your list, order the shrimp which my wife loved. La Ola is another place where the locals hang out and the menu is more varied than Pescaderia but serves a variety of tapas done with local ingredients. All of which we enjoyed. While the condo is close to El Conquistador, there is no reason to go there as it is really expensive, nice, but when you're staying at this place, there is no reason to go over there. Overall, we had a great time and would highly recommend it. You are so close to the ferries that go to Vieques and Culebra you should take the time to visit both, just don't miss the last ferry back at night!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with young children, sightseeing.
