Just wanted to drop a note to tell you how much we enjoyed staying at your home at Gold Mountain. The house is lovely and spacious and perfect for two couples to share. The weather was perfect as we had hoped and the golf is some of the best around. The furnishings are very comfortable with a great kitchen. We enjoyed using the BBQ and Patio area in the evening with the views and we enjoyed getting a closer look at the Nakoma area. We have stayed in various Graeagle communities, including Graeagle Meadows, Mohawk Meadows and Valley Ranch. Yours has been one of the best.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+.

This mountain home is absolutely beautiful. You have all of the comforts of a custom home in the beauty of the wilderness. We had a great time strolling through Graeagle (super-cute town), playing by the lakes, got in a round of golf on the majestic and challenging Dragon course (which wraps throughout the housing development with spectacular views)... It's only about 45-60 minutes north of Lake Tahoe so there is plenty to do there as well. All that said, the home is so comfortable and welcoming that you barely want to leave. We can't wait to head back up to Graeagle for another stay with our family!Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, sightseeing, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

Beautiful home in a lovely, quiet subdivision. Nicely located between Graeagle and Portola, a short drive to each place. Huge kitchen and pantry. We loved the view from the deck. It's true there is a short hike to the river, but it's pretty steep and treacherous (not one for the kids!) Also, if you are bringing kids the area is not very bike-able due to the hilly nature of the subdivision. We enjoyed the public pool in Portola - a great way to cool off on a hot day! Also spent time hiking in the Lakes Basin. Our family enjoyed a very nice week at this great home.Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, sightseeing, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

An absolutely wonderful retreat. This home is beautiful! The accommodations are elegant and welcoming, and we quickly felt like we were at the home of good friends. You are nestled among the pines with wonderful views throughout the house. We enjoyed using the kitchen which has a gas stove and range that will accommodate a chef. If you like golfing, bring your clubs as there are some excellent courses nearby. If you enjoy antiquing, boutiquing, or thrift seeking you are also in luck as there are several locations a short drive away. We had a wonderful time and hope to return.Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, sightseeing, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

We LOVED our stay at Emerald Point in Gold Mountain! The home is beautifully appointed and very comfortable! So much space that we wished we had invited friends up with us! Eric and Betsy were very helpful and accommodating in scheduling our stay! Lots of good information on what to do while you're up there. The kitchen has the basics for cooking and baking. The views are terrific! And the DVD library has several family-friendly titles to enjoy! As stated, there is no satellite/cable--- but plenty of DVDs to choose from and we brought a few of our own. And, we did bring our own bedding and towels, which is a nice way to reduce the expense of the stay! The location is great for quiet get-aways, long walks/hikes, but you do have to drive to get to stores, restaurants or shopping. The trade-off is there is amazing star-gazing at night with no light interference!! We went during the early spring, so we didn't get to check out the golf course or clubhouse. But we had snow, which is a whole other kind of fun!!Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

The cabin was beautiful, comfortable and was very spacious for our large family. We were so lucky to arrive on Friday to a sunny afternoon and then by mid-day Saturday it was snowing. We had a foot of snow to play in by Sunday morning. The kids had a blast sledding just a few feet from the cabin. The fireplace was perfect to come and relax by after a day in the snow. The view from the family room windows was serene and subperb. We also enjoyed long walks in the Gold Mountain Community. We can't wait to come back to and enjoy what summer has to offer like golf, lakes, hiking, etc.Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, sightseeing, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway.
