MUCH better than staying at a hotel. The condo had everything we needed! Short walk to the beach (just across the street) and the beach is private - not many people in your area on the beach. Very peaceful. Had everything you would need to stay including linens, dishware, etc. Would stay again and recommend to anyone!

Recommended for:Age 55+, romantic getaway.

Great for a couple needing a modest place in Destin. We had a great time. The complex is older but very well maintained and the security gate is friendly and attentive. We drove by many of the local hotels we had considered during the trip, and we are SO glad we chose this condo instead. You get a bigger room, full kitchen, more privacy and an awesome location. Right across the Gulf with shopping and dining close. The owner answered all correspondence promptly and accurately and his list of local places to check out was really helpful. The bathroom was really clean with plenty of linens and nicely decorated. Highly recommended!

I was a little skeptical in the beginning because the price seemed to good to be true. One phone call to John put my mind right at ease. Everything was just as he said it would be. We could not have asked for a better place to stay or person to rent from!! The location is incredible, close to everything, and seriously only steps to either the beach or the pool. The condo itself was very clean and had every amenity that you could possbly need, from a coffeemaker, to an iron, to a kitchen full of utensils for cooking! I also liked that the laundry room was right across the parking lot. Destin is our favorite beach and we WILL be renting from John again the next time we find a chance to get away. Oh yeah, you must try The Donut Hole while you are there..breakfast there is beyond words!! Thanks again John for helping us have a beautiful family vacation! Kelly and Luigi

I spent 3 wonderful months at the condo. I am a Snowbird from up North and the condo and Sandpiper Cover offers everything you could possibly need or want to make your stay a pleasant one, whether it be a short trip or a long one like mine. The complex itself offers something for everyone to do. You have golf, tennis, swimming pools, hot tubs, and such a short distance to the beach, where a small snack bar is located. You have a partial view of the beach from the balcony. Everything is provided in the kitchen you could possibly need while there. Also, all of the linens are there for your use. If you are a walker, you have a short walk to several restuarants and shopping. Within a short drive, you have many fine restuarants available to you so you never need to go to far from your condo at Sandpiper Cove. John is exceptional to work with and very helpful.

Recently we stayed in this unit over the weekend for my brother's beautiful beach wedding, and were very pleased! John was a pleasure to deal with; very friendly, courteous, and prompt with his responses!! The unit was very clean, comfortable,spacious and convenient for my fiance' and I! The beach is directly across the street and super easy to get to and from, as well as the pool. A big high five to the security guards for all their help and wonderful attitudes. I definitely recommend renting from John.

Spent a week in this condo, and it is perfect for a couple of any age to stay their. Short walk to the beach, an even shorter walk to the pool. Will keep at the top of our list for a trip back to Destin

Outstanding Condo at an Outstanding Price!

I had never rented a condo through Home Away before and was a little skeptical. However, when I discovered this condo and the incredible price at such a busy time I decided to email John. He was very prompt in emailing me back a few minutes later. I called and he was very up front and clear about everything. We made an arrangement that very day to rent the condo and I had the exact address, lock box codes, and directions for arrival that day from John! I mailed my deposit,and was notified by him when he received it and the rental check, very promptly. When we arrived at Sandpiper Cove my husband and I were impressed with how friendly security was, and pleased that our parking tag was waiting for us as promised. We unlocked the lock box and got into the condo with no problems. The studio condo was great for the two of us! The pull out bed was extremely comfortable, the couches were roomy with lots of cushions, and we enjoyed the flat screen t.v. and d.v.d. player on the couple of rainy days we had on our stay. The kitchen was equipped with ANYTHING we needed, from plates, various kinds of cups, toasters, microwave, dishwasher, pots/pans of all sizes, blender, strainers, utensils, dish rags/towels, etc! The bathroom was clean with a fairly large and deep tub. The front deck and chairs were nice as well! We always left our shoes and beach gear outside the door and no one ever bothered anything. The walk to the beach was short and comfortable, and we liked that the beach was private, accessible only with the code (from the security gate upon check in). The beach wasn't overcrowded and was absolutely beautiful. We both agreed it was the most beautiful beach we'd ever been to! The laundry building was steps from the condo, as was a pool, which was convenient. We were surprised how close in distance all the major attractions in Destin were to the condo. From outlet mall shopping, to malls/shops, restaurants, the harbor, grocery stores, etc. We really appreciated the list John left of restaurants and activities nearby. We tried and loved many of the things he recommended, especially The Donut Hole! Overall our trip to John's condo in Destin, FL couldn't have been better. We even called to stay an extra night we loved it so much! We have been back home from our stay for only 3 days and have already received our deposit refund by mail from John! We will definitely be back again, thank you John!

This studio was in a great location for me and my wife on gulf shore dr. right across the street from the beach. The owner was great!! always available and very helpful. The studio was a little outdated (very clean though) but had everything we needed for the week. The bed is a murphy bed that folds out of the wall but is not uncomfortable (i would suggest bringing your own pillows though). The balcony was great to hang out and the pool and bbq pit was right outside the front door. Grocery store was right down the street, and all of our favorite restuarants was within a 2 mile radius (AJ's, Bubba Gump, Papitos, Fudpuckers, etc...). We love mexican, and we perfered Papitos over La Paz by far! Much better service, food, and margaritas!!! The Beach was beautiful and the private covered bar on the beach was an AWESOME place to hang out if you need to get out of the heat for a while but still want to stay on the beach. Security guards were very nice and helpful (almost like concierge service). In conclusion, the studio was not the nicest place we have stayed at but if your looking for a cool cozy place to stay for the best price in destin that will put you in the heart of everything you would like to do on your stay, this is the place to stay.

We just came back Saturday from a wonderful week at Johns condo! We really loved the location, the homey feel of it and having a view of the ocean from the back balcony. Its so convenient to everything! The pool is right out front, as well as a laundry area. It is a very short walk across the road to the beach too! We will definitely return! Thanks John for all your fast e-mails, great info, and quick return of our damage deposit!

My husband & I stayed at this condo for 4nights & it was perfect. The booking process with John was extremely easy & he was always quick to respond with any questions I had. This studio was exactly as described and had all the amenities that were promised. It would be a perfect place for an romantic getaway or for a small family. There are lots of good restaurants close by and plenty of shopping opportunities. The water was a bit too cold in the swimming pools for much swimming, but I am sure in the summer it would be fine.

Great spring break

We stayed here for a week for spring break and the studio was perfect. It is right across the street from the beach, which was one of the nicest beaches I have ever been to. The pictures are exactly what it looks like. The place was extremely clean and had all the amenities that we needed. The kitchen was perfect sized and allowed us to cook any type of dinner we wanted. The porch is located right next to a road but you barely hear any noise from it. The wi-fi worked consistently throughout the week. The complex sandpiper cove was very nice and everyone there was very friendly. The owner of this studio was extremely accommodating and was easy to contact if any problems arose. The location of the studio is just off 98, which allowed easy access to grocery stores, restaurants, and other activities. Overall this place is perfect and would recommend to anyone. We are looking to try and come back again in the future.

Amazing Condo, amazing teip!

Stayed here in April 2011 with my husband and 1.5 year-old son and had the time of our lives!  The condo was IMMACULATE, and I am a neat freak. We never saw a single pest or bug, even on the balcony, which is often unusual by the beach. The view was gorgeous. Television and wifi worked great and there was every dish and utensil you can imagine. We cooked a LOT while we were there and never lacked for anything. The bathroom was great with a nice big tub and shower. The beds and bedding were super-comfortable and we never felt cramped-in fact, we enjoyed several long afternoon naps just luxuriating in the room in the cool air. The location was perfect!  We walked to the heated pool and to the Louisiana Lagniappe restaurant (which was awesome!) for dinner and we walked to the beach every day.  We loved the little restaurant on the beach too. The beach was uncrowded and had private access. We spent 8 days there and did NOT want to leave! The price was incredible. John was wonderful to deal with throughout the entire process. The couple who helps him manage the property actually lives on-site (we just happened to run into them at the pool!) so if we had had any issues at all, they would have been right there to take care of it.  A very nice couple.  We intend to come back every year if we can!!! Just writing this review is making me miss our Destin retreat! Thanks John for a fabulous trip! Danielle St. Amant

We had a good time staying at Sandpiper Cover. The studio ended up being just a block away from where our friends were getting married on the beach, so it's gets an A+ for location! The guards at the gate were very friendly and helpful. The room was right off the road but we were never bothered by any road noise. Overall, the place was in great shape and we loved the full kitchen. Just an FYI - The room does not have Wifi but does have a place to directly plug-in one computer.

I stayed here with my family on labor day weekend. The studio had everything that I needed and the community is right on the beach. One pool was right in front of the condo and my kids really liked that. The people were friendly in the community. The beach was awesome with clear water and crystal white sand. Visited many nearby places and really liked gulfarium on Fort Walton beach and "Believe it or not" exhibit on Panama City beach. If I go to Destin again, this place is definitely going to be my first choice.

My two teenagers and i just spent a week here - it was the BEST vacation we have ever taken! The location of the condo was excellent - right across the street from private beach access and close to all the local restaurants and shopping! It was just as described in the listing and the amenities were as promised! The beaches are immaculate - the sand is a beautiful white and the water definitely lives up to the name Emerald Coast - it's breathtaking! We will definitely return!

Destin has so much to do, and Sandpiper Cove Condos has something for everyone from the free par 3 nine hole golf course, 6 tennis courts, 5 pools, marina with boats and a launch ramp and docking space, one of the nicest restaurants in Destin, and 1,100 feet of private beautiful beach.
