Whether your vacation to Santa Fe is for relaxing in this mountain setting, exploring this historical city, shopping this famous art market or simply discovering the Santa Fe mystique, you’ve picked the perfect home for your vacation time or short term rental… it has The Location and true Santa Fe historical style.
Our home is located in the historical Guadalupe district of central Santa Fe. Four blocks from the heart of the Santa Fe Plaza district, two blocks to Sambusco Center / The Rail Yard and close to coffee shops, boutiques and restaurants of all flavors! Our summer evening strolls include the art rich Canyon Road or after hours window shopping with finishing off our ice cream cone. Mountain hiking or skiing on your agenda …head up Artists Road and in 15 to 20 minutes the trails are yours for the choosing. Our home is a cozy 1400 sq foot, 2 bedroom, 2 full baths historical adobe that is full of art and our collection of Santa Fe “must haves”. Your stay will be relaxing in this environment influenced by our appreciation of the Native American and Spanish history of the area.
This private home is surrounded by adobe walls for a serene, magical garden setting. Plenty of seating, in fact I have hosted many parties that include dozens of happy revelers! There is a gas grill, a wonderful fountain and a large outdoor kiva fireplace to complete the ambiance.
The two bedrooms are very well appointed with lovely linens, ceiling fans and intimate lighting. Each bedroom has it's own connected bath and the bedrooms are in separate areas so there is great privacy even inside the house. As well, there are two separate patio areas so just in case someone of your party is napping in the shade in one, you can enjoy the other one!
Two off-street parking spaces are provided at the door .... parking is a prize in this historical town of narrow winding streets. Most of our guests are delighted that they can walk to most 'every thing' ..check out the referrals below.

Such a sweet, comfortable adobe house! The master bedroom and bathroom were especially cozy. The kitchen is a casual, warm gathering place with everything you need to cook and visit. The location can't be beat--close to the plaza and the Cowgirl bar and restaurant is right around the corner. We had a great stay!Recommended for: Age 55+, girls getaway, romantic getaway, families with young children, sightseeing, tourists without a car.

This house was just perfect. Great location: Less than a mile to the railyard, plaza, restaurants and shopping. Nice, quiet neighborhood. The house was very neat. I loved looking at all of the artwork and figurines everywhere. The fire places were heavenly. There is one outside, one in the living room, one in the kitchen, and a cast iron stove in the master bedroom. It was so nice cooking a meal in the kitchen, drinking a glass of wine with the fire going and the music on. We spent early mornings drinking coffee by the outside fireplace waiting for the city to come alive. I wish I could live like this every day.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, tourists without a car.

The house was comfortable, cozy and welcoming. We really enjoyed the back courtyard, particularly on the cool autumn nights that we were there, using the fireplace every night.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

What an amazing delight it was to stay at this ecletic, charming and warm house. The owner has complied a house full of fascinating art work. Each day we were there it was like a treasure hunt. As we walked throughout the house it was inevitable that we would stumble upon another jem. The living room, kitchen and patio, off the kitchen, have kivas (fireplaces) that added to the ambience thoughout the day and into the evening. The master bedroom is quite large and has double pation doors leading out to the end of the patio. It also boasts a sitting area with a wall of bookcases filled with a varity of books. The master bathroom has a large shower and a heated tile floor embeded with artful jewels. The second bed and bath were also nicely appointed with artwork and was very comfortable. We throughly enjoyed sending early evenings out on the patio before heading to one of the many restaurants which were within walking distance. Also, you are only about 4 blocks away from the Plaza for shopping, dining, museums and site seeing. As an added note, there were four adults in our group and when we needed some solitude and time alone, each of us were able to find our own quite little scantuary in one of the areas in and outside of the enchanting home. This is not your typical rental unit, this has all the creature comforts of a true home. When we head back to Santa Fe, we will definitely stay here again!Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: What a wonderful review and so rewarding for me as I take such pleasure in our guests really enjoying our home! Thank you for taking the time to post this and I look forward to your visit in the future.

I would highly recommend a stay here. The owner's artistic flair has created a really special and unique environment. We loved staying here and sitting out in the fairy lit courtyard each night. We have 2 young children and so took it upon ourselves to do some "kiddie proofing" as there were some really nice homewares we didn't want the children damaging, but the owner couldn't have been more welcoming of the children. The home is equipped with everything you'd possibly need. The master bedroom is large with an almost retreat feel. The 2nd bedroom is at the other end of the house and there is a lounge room that could also be used as a sleeping space as is at one far end of the house (there is also a small lounge area and TV setup in the master room). The home is an easy 5 minute walk from restaurants and a 10-12 minute walk from the Plaza area. We could not rate a stay here highly enough. We absolutely loved it.Recommended for: Age 55+, people with disabilities, pet owners, girls getaway, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with young children, sightseeing, tourists without a car.

We enjoyed our stay at this little casita and it was exactly as discribed. The owner has beautiful decor and it was a great home. We met my brother and his wife from Montana and we could walk to the Plaza,Tomasitas, the Farmers Market, and the Old Sante Fe Railroad station where we took the train to Lamy (everyone should try this, it's great)!. What a wonderful time we had. There was only one drawback to our stay and that was this home did not have any air conditioning. I never thought about this, as I assumed there would be air conditioning. It was not mentioned on the description on VRBO. There were fans in every room, but at night it was too hot to sleep comfortably. Even with the windows open and the patio doors in the master bedroom open, it was still too hot during the night. The home and furnishings are gorgoeus and it has every aminity that one would need. Well stocked kitchen!! I would recommend this home to all, just know that if the nights don't cool down below 70 degrees, it could be a little uncomfortable.Recommended for: Age 55+, pet owners, girls getaway, sightseeing, tourists without a car.
Owner response: Thank you so much for your candid feed back. I will certainly point out the summer temp's and our non-air conditioned status. We really strive for our guests to have the best all around experience and your feed back just helps us improve that for everyone. Please consider us on your next visit to Santa Fe.

This was a great getaway vacation home-close to everything! The square, railyard and parks were all just a couple of blocks away-everythmost sites were walking distance! Canyon Road was further but still a nice walk-no need to drive. Also, very easy drive to the flee market, Opera, hiking trails and 10,000 Waves Japanese Spa. The home kitchen has everything you need to whip up fabulous home cooked meals, with dishes that make a beautiful vacation table. Though there are many nearby restaurants, the kitchen was an added plus, if you enjoy cooking! (I would suggest a new BBQ grill, which didn't heat very well) The outdoor courtyard was very peaceful for morning coffee and late afternoon wine and cheese! The host also provided DVDs, which came in handy on the one evening that it rained. Great house for your dogs!Recommended for: Age 55+, pet owners, families with teenagers, girls getaway, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with young children, sightseeing, tourists without a car.
Owner response: Thank you so much for the review. Duly noted on the Grill and so appreciate your suggestion. Mostly, I am pleased you enjoyed my home and hope you will consider us on another vacation to the area. Thanks again, I know it takes time to stop and do this ...appreciate it much. Jeannine

The place was full of wonderful treasures. The outdoor living space was cozy and inviting. Our boys loved the place, with plenty of areas to roam and explore. The 2 bedrooms were perfect with 2 baths to accommodate all of us. The kitchen was well stocked. The listing of where things were was very helpful. We will be back as soon as we can! Thank you for a great vacation getaway.Recommended for: Age 55+, pet owners, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing, tourists without a car.
