  These cottages are the best, small but very well taken care of. Everything you need is in the cottage and Phil was extremely helpful in every way possible. We had a minor problem with the internet and Phil would not quit working on it until the problem was fixed. Phil was fantastic to deal with and the neighbors were great as well. It was nice to be out of the hustle and bustle of Gulf Shores and yet be just a few minutes away. We cannot wait to get back!

  We had a wonderful month in Bon Secure. Very clean and comfortable accommodation. Everything there to make your stay carefree. If you love antiques and the such, there are a lot of places to choose from. Fishing is just around the corner and Phil is more than happy to show you the area. I can't say enough about Phil, but we went there as strangers and now we have a new friend. What you see in the pictures is exactly what you get. It is such a sweet cottage. I would absolutely recommend this property to family and friends. If you like to go out to eat there are numerous places to choose from. Shopping is no problem. I am looking forward to visiting with Phil again in the future.

  We have beening going to GS for more than twelve years and this is by far the best place we have ever stayed. If you want clean, private, and a good location this is it. You are close enough to every thing to do any thing yet far enough away just to sit on the front porch and relax. Phil was great to work with and the pictures are so accurate. If you want to just relax, go shopping , or some good eating this is your home away from home. I highly recommend this place and we will be coming back. Thank you Phil and Toni we loved it.

  I had a few days to get away, and wanted to make it down to the gulf for some fishing and relaxation before the end of the year. The cottages Phil & Toni had advertised seemed perfect, but I wasn't certain. I decided to take a chance, and I AM GLAD I DID! They are perfectly located within a short walk or ride (don't hesitate to bring a bicycle) from a branch of Bon Secour Bay, and around 6 short miles from Foley with all it has to offer. I was able to kayak, fish, sight-see, shop, and visit the beaches in the four short days I stayed. The cottage itself was perfect as well. I am very particular about where I stay, and I was completely at ease from the moment I walked in the door. It was clean, modern, bigger than expected, and had all the amenities that I needed for my stay. It is well lit, and, as for safety concerns, there were none. The cottages are secure, and the whole area is very laid back - I never felt threatened at any time. I never worried about my kayak or fishing gear, and, more than once, found myself going back and locking the door because of feeling so at ease, I was forgetting to do so. As for my hosts, Phil and Toni, they were great as well. They went above and beyond what was expected to accommodate me and my activities. They were extremely friendly, outgoing, knowledgeable, and the perfect examples of southern hospitality. My whole stay was fantastic, and I hated that I had to go. I plan to come back again (hopefully, sooner than later), and I recommend that anyone heading to the area and wanting a very nice, conviently located, well maintained property at a more than reasonable price, to give them a shout. YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!!!

  My husband and I have stayed at the cottage twice both times for a week. It is just lovely and exceptionally clean. Everything you need is provided, even Netflix! The first time we stayed I made a suggestion on how to make it even better and Phil took my advice right away. I would suggest this location for anyone who wants a quiet location, but close to everything. This is the perfect spot for snowbirds for a lengthly stay near the beach. The price is very reasonable.

  My husband & I and our 16 yr. old son stayed at the cabin for a week while we looked at properties in the area. It is a one bedroom, so our son slept on a blow up mattress in the Living Room provided by Phil. He was also around if we needed anything or had any questions. The cabin was so much nicer and more reasonable than a hotel room. It seemed liked we were out away from everything, yet really we were so close to all the restaurants and shopping. The drive to the beach was also very convenient. I would recommend these cottages to anyone going to the Foley/Gulf Shores area for vacation. THANKS Phil and Toni for making a week vacation so affordable!

  Stayed here from 5/17/11 - 5/23/11 with myself (20 yrs) and my boyfriend (21 yrs) After 2 long weeks of searching for a rental for a festival I was attending the weekend of May 18-20 I finally came upon this. The festival was sold out, which meant 30,000 people were going to have to find a place to stay in the Gulf Shore area. After already spending 500 on the tickets and looking at how much gas was going to cost us I was very freaked out by the prices of all the cottages/hotels/condo's I was seeing. When I came across this, 50$ a night seemed WAY too good to be true when we were only a short 15 minute drive from the festival. He sent me the renters agreement through email to give me an idea of what it looked like and took my credit card information to take out half of the 350 for the week we were staying. He stayed in contact with us the whole month before we arrived, and even called us to make sure we were okay because we were running later than expected. He greeted us promptly and we signed the rental agreement and paid the other half. My first thought when getting there was the cottage looked exactly like what the picture shows. I loved the color, and thought it was adorable. Phil's wife even went out of her way to make a bag full of menus and coupons from the near-by restaurants and shopping centers. She even left us the Bon Secour newspaper. Throughout our stay Phil answered all our questions and even helped us blow up our rafts for the ocean with his air pump. The house was in perfect condition and even looked like it was newly remodeled. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything to cook a awesome meal which saved us tons of money and there is a mini grill on the front porch. And we absolutely loved that there was a washer and dryer for our swim suits and beach towels. They made sure to provide all the things you would need but may forget. We enjoyed our stay and do plan on coming back again to the next Hangout Festival and staying at Phil and Toni's cottage again. I would recommend this place to EVERYONE I know, and have told alot of people about it already! And if you think your too far from everything, you're not at all. There's an awesome restaurant called the Tin Top just a mile or two away and you're right off the main rd of all the best shopping places and attractions like mini golf, go-karts and so much more. Thank you Phil and Toni for everything! We had an amazing time!

  I miss it already! Rented the cottage for a month. Cottage was everything pictured and more. Clean and well maintained by Phil the owner, who is wonderful and very helpful.! Close to everything, beaches, shopping, restaurants, and yet plenty of privacy, Can hardly wait to visit again. Managed to get my son settled in Gulf Shores, had my mom over from Florida for a few days and then great weekend with my husband. A very sucessful month!

  My husband and I stayed in one of the Bon Secour cottages for a week. We were in the area looking at homes/property for our upcoming retirement. The on-line description and photographs were accurate. Our host couldn't have been more helpful in answering our questions about the area. He went beyond being a good host--even brought us local papers most days. While we were staying at the cottages, we enjoyed dining at the Tin Top Restaurant on several occasions and shopping at the outlets. We cooked shrimp we purchased just minutes away at Billy's Seafood and picked up delicious bar-b-que at the take out restaurant at the intersection of 59 and county road 10.

  Recommended for: Age 55+, families with young children, sightseeing.
