Welcome to our home. It is located perched on the hillside an eight minute walk away from the waters of Haad Salad bay. A coral reef awaits you on the edge of the bay and it extends to the beaches located on either side of Haad Salad. Located on the western side of the island, it is the perfect location to enjoy a fine meal with a sunset after a relaxing day on the beach towel or the massage chair!

Our five bedroom (plus one extra bedroom if needed) home has stunning views and a contemporary design. The open floor plan and design features are designed to allow for an intimate yet child friendly environment.

The entrance to the house and the first floor is handicapped accessible as is the 2 bedroom apartment on the ground floor. There is a comfortable ramp which connects the garage with both the apartment and the main house. This makes entrance to the house easy whether or not you are bringing children, bags of groceries, or your items from a day at the beach.

The master bedroom suite on the first floor is identical to that on the second floor making this an ideal house for multiple couples. Each mattress is a Sealy Posturepedic brand shipped down from Bangkok. This high quality mattress gives a fine rest and fits well with the high thread count cotton sheets and Jim Thompson silk bed coverings. The room has floor to ceiling windows with an overwater sunset view enjoyable from both the king size bed as well as from the bathtub made for two. There are his and her sinks, a high quality shower, as well as an enclosed toilet facility. The bedrooms are air-conditioned although you will most likely not need it since there is a sliding screen door with mosquito netting screens as well as other windows in the room with the same mosquito netting to ensure cross ventilation, taking advantage of the sea breeze. Fans are available if you prefer.

You can walk out the sliding doors to a deck adjacent to the pool if you prefer to enjoy your sunsets from this location. The pool is 2.7 meters by 12 meters and was designed so that two people could swim back and forth freely. Don’t forget to take a break anywhere along the west wall and enjoy the beautiful Bay of Thailand. On one end there is the covered patio and on the other is a unique design feature our architect titled the ‘floating island’.

When you enter our home you are welcomed with a two story wall of thick tempered safety glass in the living room providing a breathtaking view of Haad Salad Bay as well as the islands of Ang Thong National Park and Koh Tao. During the day the bay is active with boat traffic and at night the sea lights up with the bright halogen lights of the squid fisherman working close to shore and kilometers out to sea. Sliding doors with mosquito net screens and other screened windows run along the entire wall as well to ensure easy access to the pool.

Along the back wall are screened in horizontal windows to ensure great cross ventilation. In between the windows are built in bookshelves filled with hundreds of our favorites mostly in English with some in Japanese. Read any one you like.

In the middle of the living room is a modern yet functional sofa as well as some assorted comfortable chairs with appropriate lighting. Although the sea breeze and cross ventilation normally makes for very comfortable relaxing there are also ceiling fans and floor mounted fans depending on your wish. The kitchen and the living room share the large open space and you will find a double burner cooker, sink, refrigerator with freezer, and all of the pots, pans, dishes, bowls, and silverware required to cook for yourself. Enjoy your meal on a custom made dining room table with space for up to six people comfortably or head out to the garden, the covered patio or, my personal favorite space, the rooftop deck.

We have master bedroom suites on both the first and second floors. Both come with stunning seaviews and full bathrooms with both a shower and a bathtub. The upper floor has a jacuzzi tub. There is also an addition bedroom with fantantic views on the upper floor as well as a small balcony and a large deck.

A self-contained apartment on the ground floor gives more space for guests. There we have have a 2 bedroom apartment with a small kitchenette, dining area, open living room, and deck. Like every other floor, a stunning unobstructed sea view is waiting for you here.

The views from the rooftop deck are some of the most captivating to be found in the entire world. Relax in the chairs or swing in the hammock as you look out over a 180 degree waterview on one side and the mountains of Koh Phangan on the other. Enjoy watching the sunset into the Bay of Thailand with wonderful sea breezes surrounding you. Luckily for those of us on the west coast of Koh Phangan, immediately after the sunsets the squid fisherman turn on their powerful lamps providing a wonderful view for hours. When the moon is near full Koh Tao and the islands of Ang Thong National Park are clearly visible.

We are also blessed to have gardens along both sides of the house with jungle to the rear. The garden on the northern slide is sloping and is filled with local tropical plants including the natural mosquito repellant lemon grass as well as aloe Vera.
