Our beautifully maintained condo features upbeat and tasteful decor with a tropical motif. This lovely 2BR/2BA Condo overlooks the property lake/pond with fountain, with Ocean View, and FREE High Speed Internet. Our condo is delightful and fresh, completely updated in March 2012 and monitored for fresh upkeep every week, in addition to house cleaning services. It is important to us to make our guests as comfortable as possible, and that you have a wonderful vacation experience. You will not be disappointed!
“Tropical Daydream” is located in the up-scale, yet casual resort of Gulf Place located off of scenic Highway 30-A in beautiful, peaceful Santa Rosa Beach, FL. Gulf Place is nestled between Destin/Sandestin and Seaside, FL, free from high rise hotels, crowds, congestion, and traffic. Located directly across the street from the beach, our 2nd floor condo has a large balcony with a view that looks over the Lake at Gulf Place, with a view of the Ocean from the living and dining areas.
Mellow out on the large covered balcony and listen to the flow of the lake fountain located directly below. Watch the pond turtles play, and listen to the ocean waves crashing in the distance—so RELAXING…
This spacious, tastefully decorated unit, conveniently located on the 2nd floor, is equipped with 2 King bedrooms, 2 full baths, 2 built-in bunk beds in the hallway, and a queen sleeper sofa in the living room (sleeps 6 adults with 2 children maximum). There is a fully equipped kitchen with large pantry, and a new dishwasher, garbage disposal, and stainless steel oven with smooth cooktop. Ceramic tile highlights the kitchen, hallway, and both bathrooms. The dining room, living room and bedrooms are carpeted. The dining room chairs were recently re-upholstered. You will find 3 flat screen televisions (37' in the living room) with cable for your viewing pleasure and a DVD player w/remote located in the living room and bedrooms. We also provide a washer and dryer for your convenience along with FREE High Speed Internet and local and domestic phone availability.
The complex features an elevator and luggage carts which makes for an easier 'move-in', charcoal grills, and 3 pools (heated) with a sundeck and Jacuzzi (3), tennis courts and shuffleboard. Gulf Place boasts several restuarants, clothing boutiques, artist colony, bike rentals and nature trails. Or, you can just RELAX, and take a break from it all!
There is also a bank and on-site pharmacy and spa. The Santa Rosa Golf Club is located nearby for the golf enthusiast. If shopping is your game, head West toward Sandestin to the Silver Sands Outlet Mall (one of the country's largest), or East for a short drive along 30A to Grayton Beach, Watercolor, and world famous Seaside for boutique shopping and eateries galore.
Guests will enjoy the free seasonal concerts on the grassy amphitheater, movies, events and festivals are seasonal. Gulf Place is ideal for families, couples and singles-alike and the perfect location for a wedding or family reunion.
A county beach park is nearby. Paved bicycle paths pass in front of the complex, which provides miles of easy pedaling along CR-30A to many restaurants, shops and other destinations on the beaches of South Walton County.
Gulf Place is perfectly situated to avail yourself all of the fun-filled activities the beautiful Beaches of South Walton have to offer including countless opportunities for aquatic adventure. Water-based activities include saltwater and freshwater fishing at 15 lakes, offshore fishing charters, boating, sailing, swimming and snorkeling. Nature-lovers can enjoy canoeing and kayaking tours of the area's coastal dune lakes, dolphin cruise, or you may prefer a dinner cruise aboard the SunQuest Cruises yacht.
After a fun-filled day at the beach you may wish to kick back and enjoy eating in. You will find grocery stores and markets nearby (within 5 miles), as well as Shrimpers Seafood Market where you will find a wonderful selection of fresh seafood and various other selections. You must try the various dips such as crab and spicy tuna dip-YUM!!
Gulf Place now has an outdoor fresh fruit and vegetable market on the weekends. There are many tasty seafood restaurants in near vicinity to Gulf Place. On the property itself you will find the “Smiling Fish Café” which is wonderful for lunch, and just down the road a mile or so, “Stinky’s Fish Camp”—one of our casual favorites where the locals hang out! If you are looking for a nice romantic venue with excellent food and ambiance we highly recommend “louisiana lagniappe” and “Marina Café” located in Destin within 7-10 miles from the property. Just a few miles down the road visit Cafe Tango, an intimate, romantic dining experience for two! And there are many more restuarants to choose from!
Gulf Place Caribbean on highly desirable 30-A is THE perfect place for a Romantic Weekend, a girls' weekend, a Reunion, Weddings, family vacations, and MORE - again, you will NOT be disappointed! No high rises! Escape the crowds and come UNWIND - isn't that what vacations are for?!

We have rented properties in this area in previous years. Each time we dealt with a rental agency. This time we dealt with the owners who were as professional (maybe even more professional than one agency) and very personable. They responded quickly to questions or concerns. The property itself was quite comfortable and in good shape. We have stayed at this complex before and wanted to stay there again because we like the amenities and the location. The experience we had at this unit was by far the best we have had at other properties in this complex. The furniture was as comfortable as if we had selected it for our own home. We felt very welcome as this condo was quite inviting. We would recommend this condo to couples or families. Loved the condo! All the updates look great. Notebook orienting guests to the area is very helpful for those not familiar. Everything was clean and well kept. Loved sitting out on balcony early mornings and watching the turtles in the pond. So many things convenient to condo and some within walking distance. Will definitely recommend to friends and family. Owners very responsive to needs. There was a small problem with the air on day of arrival but Keli made sure to have the repair folks here quickly. It was fixed in no time. Have stayed at other condos at Gulf Place where owners were not quite that responsive. Those of you considering a trip to the area should definitely inquire about this condo. We had a fabulous time!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing.

What a wonderful place! Description and pictures are accurate, everything was clean and just perfect. The pool and hot tub were relaxing, short walk across the street to the beach was easy. Restaurants close by were convenient. The owners were extremely helpful in our last minute rental. Parking was easy. Just first rate all the way! We'll definitely stay again next year!Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

Our stay was lovely. Beach towels not back from laundry for our stay, but we really didn't need them. Had noisy neighbors above that were annoying. Amenities in the condo were great! Would definately go again to this "daydream"! Canopy wasn't used, but will use it next time! Weather and beach access was perfect! Had fabulous dinner at Basmati's and the Fish House down A30 about 10 min toward Panama City. Photos accurate and owners very responsive and attentive!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing.

We had a great vacation! The condo was lovely, and had everything we needed. The kids thought the bunkbeds were perfect. It was great to sit on the balcony and watch the waves in the gulf, and the turtles in the pond. And it was a nice bonus to have so many things within walking distance....bikes, ice cream, pizza, wine! Overall, a great family vacation!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, families with young children, girls getaway.

Everything was great & we would definitely stay here again. The condo was comfortable and had everything we needed. It has a nice view of the pond and is on the quiet end of the building, away from the pool. The beach is absolutely terrific and it's nice having nearby conveniences at Gulf Place or a couple of minutes away in Santa Rosa Beach. Great place to stay! Condo was well equipped and had an excellent view. Very convenient to everything. Also, many nice neighbors were around. We're not sure if they were other owners, but they saw us with our luggage and brought over a cart. Very nice!Recommended for: Age 55+, people with disabilities, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Keli - Just wanted to drop you a note and let you know that we LOVED your condo! The weather was beautiful, and the condo was absolutely spectacular especially with the updates you recently completed. We found that the condo was very comfortable for our family of four which includes two teenagers. The furniture and furnishings were comfortable and attractive and the condo was very clean. We made good use of your videos and games, and we were easily able to locate anything we needed. The location was so convenient with the beach right across the street and shopping within walking distance. At night it was so nice to sit out on the patio and enjoy the warm quiet evenings. We are looking forward to returning to Tropical Daydream next year. About the owner: We currently live in Chicago, IL. I have enjoyed the Florida Panhandle for as long as I can remember! Originally from Birmingham, Alabama, Bill and I have always enjoyed vacationing in Florida. We found our true vacation “home” in Santa Rosa Beach. We were introduced to Gulf Place Caribbean several years ago and we were 'sold' after our first Santa Rosa Beach vacation. My husband and I had a dream of owning our own slice of “Heaven” at Gulf Place. …Beautiful, Quiet and Peaceful. Our dream has come true!
Why the Owner Chose Gulf Place Caribbean:
There is a gentle calmness that surrounds Santa Rosa Beach--no high rises, hotels, etc.. So many activities, yet you can enjoy being peaceful. Everyone is very laidback and friendly. Only 30-40 minutes from the Fort Walton Beach or Panama City Airports, it is an easy ride to Santa Rosa Beach, but the area is not overly crowded with tourists. Gulf Place is 5 miles from the Sandestin Outlet Mall and close to many attractions, not to mention excellent seafood dining choices!
