The rental is in a quiet neighborhood, has a full kitchen, air conditioning, a great shower, and looked like the listing photos. It suited my needs perfectly. Cynthia was very helpful and accommodating in making my stay as pleasant as possible. Being 2 blocks from the Canal St streetcar and two miles from downtown was just right. I especially enjoyed being able to take a leisurely walk along a nearby canal to City Park and back. There is even a little neighborhood restaurant just a two minute walk away, and a Post Office right around the corner. I would certainly recommend this property for all the reasons stated above.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, tourists without a car.

Made plans to visit New Orleans last weekend for a friend's wedding at the last minute, and stumbled across this rental. Caught my eye, not only because of the price, but the area and how accessible it was to the Quarter and the outside appearance of the apartment itself. Was a little nervous because it is located in an area that was effected by Katrina, and wasn't quite sure what we were getting into. After a tossup between this property and another located by Frenchman - have stayed in that area before, and knew it was lovely - settled on this, so that we can explore more of the city. Been to New Orleans several times, and the last few times our best experiences have been staying in rentals, living more as locals instead of tourists. Couldn't have been happier with our choice. The area itself is extremely cute and there is a lot of rebuilding that has been done and still going on. The local eateries in this area have some of the best and most reasonable priced food. 1 block to the Canal streetcar, and a short walk to amazing City Park - which is a MUST see!! The locals we bumped into were all very friendly and Cynthia was very friendly and accommodating, even when asking if we could bring one last minute guest with us. She left us some supplies - coffee, soap, cups, lots of blankies and sheets. The bed was amazing! Super comfy after a long day and night of exploring the city!! Got some good sleep!! the shower is great - wonderful shower head and good pressure and plenty of hot water. The fireplace is unique and the apartment in itself was very cute. We would sit out front at night after exploring and just enjoy the smells and sights in that area with a drink in hand. Now, I will say, this is not a fancy hotel or a luxury suite. And some of the area is still coming along, but don't let this sway you, It is a comfy, cozy, small apartment in one of our newly favorite places in New Orleans. If you are looking for a rental that is reasonable and something that will have you living like a "local" - if even for just a weekend - this is the place for you. Had our 14 year old son with us, and he felt very cozy and at home in the apartment as well. He really enjoyed his stay. Thank you very much!! Had a great experience and will recommend your rental to our friends! ~ Took your card as well, loved it so much...may just be looking for a place in Mid City soon ;) ~Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, adventure seekers.

The home is very cute and comfortable. The price was slightly higher than it should be for the location, but the management is very responsive and friendly. This is a NEW listing for VRBO/short-term rentals, so it has some growing to do to be more competitive with other listings. The neighborhood is "recovering" still - but is doing well in terms of restaurants and being conveniently located near Canal Streetcar line (easy to get around to different locations from Mid-City!). Because of the vacant properties around it, this place is IDEAL for anyone wanting a quiet get-away that is not over-run by tourists. The property has great potential... could use some work on making it more accommodating (i.e., flowers, landscaping, a patio table/umbrella in back yard, etc.)... but it was a nice place to stay and rest after a long day of museum-going and dining in the foodie capitol of the South... I would definitely stay there again if given the opportunity - but would hope the price would be a little less and the place were "cutesied-up" a bit more...Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers.
