Beautiful 1bedroom private home on 6 acres of amazingly maintained landscape. The living room and Kitchen has floor to ceiling glass sliding doors that opens out to an additonal outdoor kitchen and patio. Inside there is a commercial kitchen that is a food/chef lover's dream. The home has 1 bedroom with a queen bed. Out in the living area there are 2 twin day beds that can be used for sleeping also. The home has one full bathroom.
Outside you have a grill as well as a wood buring oven, for all you pizza lovers! While enjoying the outside ammenities you have some of the most amazing views of the valleys, ocean and breath taking landscapes that you can see from alomost anywhere on the property.
This home is owned by a chef that prides himself on his love for horticulture and sustainablity. While walking throughtout the property you will see a multitude of fruit varitials including 30+ types of bananas, guavas, mangos, starfruit, mangosteins, jackfruit, sapotes, and citrus.

Year Purchased: 2000
About the owner: I bought this property in 2000 and built the house in 2007 as a vacation retreat and possible retirement home. I have been a chef for the last 20+ years and am in the middle of planning to open my own restaurant in Southern California. I am an avid mountain biker and surfer and find Mal Pais to be a wonderful retreat. My fiance and I try to get down there once a year to enjoy the amazing ammenities that my home offers.
Why the Owner Chose Malpais:
My love for the tropics and the proximity to mountain biking and surfing. When I was vacationing down here back in 1998 I fell in love with the location and knew that it was a life long destination to always come back to.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
We love sipping cocktails on the covered patio looking out over the beautiful gardens and ocean views. We love being able to walk around the property and pick the fruits straight from the trees. We enjoy having the privacy of no neighbors but being conviently locationed from the town and beaches.
