The house has been lovingly decorated and furnished to offer guests a comfortable and relaxing stay in historic Niagara on the Lake. Each of the 3 bedrooms feature luxurious bed linens and each has it's own en-suite bathroom. The spacious lounge has a generous dining area and leads into a large, sun-filled eat-in kitchen with plenty of space to prepare meals with family & friends.To relax outside choose from the private rear garden with patio, the covered front porch or the comfortable verandah above, overlooking bustling King Street with it's horse-drawn carriages.

Summerhill Cottage was the perfect 'home away from home'! The beauty, care and attention to detail of this home was evident from the moment we parked our car out front to the moment our heads hit the pillows and we fell asleep on the exquisite bedding. The home was beautifully decorated and sunny! The main floor living area was spacious and a perfect spot to relax and socialize after a busy day. The eat-in kitchen was bright and well equipped. The 3 bedrooms were beautifully decorated with luxurious linens and each had their own ensuite bathroom with amazing towels and decor. The home is conveniently located within walking distance to many shops and restaurants. Summerhill Cottage provided us with the perfect spot from which 3 couples could get the benefit of its convenient location and the comforts of a wonderful home to relax.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, girls getaway, families with teenagers, sightseeing.

This was the perfect location in NOTL for our family: Parents, 2 sons and our daughter, her husband and our baby grandson. Our middle son has a developmental disability and this was the perfect setting for him: We had all the amenities within the cottage, the small shops/restaurants were all within walking distance which was great for New Years Eve. The Pillar and Post Spa was down the street: My daughter and I enjoyed a day there. The cottage was fabulous: It was comfortable, immaculate and the owners have paid special attention to small details for their guests. Our family felt at 100% at home! We were able to enjoy NOTL, shop at the local stores, eat out at the various establishments, spend time at the spa, enjoy Niagara Falls and the general area. We would definitely recommend this wonderful cottage! We are a group of five women who have traveled many places over the years. Our trip to Niagara-on-the-Lake is, by far, one of our favorite trips. Staying in your lovely home has really added to our experience. Summerhill cottage made us feel "at home". The house is so welcoming, cozy, beautifully decorated and the location is ideal. Together with your personal care and attention, we couldn't ask for more. This property is well located to the main street and all the shops and restaurants. The bedding was nice and very comfortable. We really enjoyed cocktails on the front porch each evening overlooking the gorgeous flowers on the street. The owners were extremely punctual and very easy to work with. Overall great experience. Beautiful house, perfect for 3 couples! The location was terrific - in walking distance to everything. There was ample indoor and outdoor space to enjoy dinners and wine! We were planning to stay for 3 days and stayed longer, since we were so pleased with the location! We were 4 adults and one small child ( 2years old). Everyone has excellent comments, from the amenities to the rooms, beds, kitchen, location within Niagara On the Lake (walking distance to the main street) Normally, you find some flaws in rentals, however minor, but in this case, there are none. It is a beautiful home and both owners are very attentive, nice and great to deal with. My wife and I travel a lot in other Countries and this was a family affair, with our son, wife and grandson. Therefore we can compare to other facilities. This one is a top location! Due to the young one, we cooked at home and visited the area (wine route, Niagara Falls and of course Marineland Highly recommend to anyone !Recommended for: Romantic getaway, families with young children, age 55+, families with teenagers, sightseeing.

We absolutely loved Niagara On the Lake and also loved this wonderful house. The location was excellent and the house was wonderfully appointed. All our needs were fulfilled. House was beautiful, location was excellent, and the attention to detail by the owners was appreciated. We enjoyed each bedroom having its own bath, the grill in the back yard, laundry facilities on site, great front porches, wireless internet connection, and local attractions within walking distance. The owner greeted us upon arrival, answered our questions, assisted during our stay, and met us upon checkout. The drive to the Niagara Falls area along the Parkway was quite beautiful and took less than 30 minutes.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, girls getaway, adventure seekers, sightseeing.

Best VRBO we have stayed in! This house far exceeded our expectations and truly is walking distance to the shops and restaurants. It has been lovingly restored with great attention to detail and with great comfort in mind. The gorgeous linens, furniture and luxurious Italian made towels, sets this house apart from any that we have ever stayed at. Each bedroom with its own ensuite privileges allowed us ladies the opportunity to shower and get ready quite quickly...which is quite a feat when you are talking seven ladies! The upstairs balcony overlooking the street was used day and night. Whether it was for morning coffee or evening wine, the view, the twinking lights and candles, the comfortable outdoor furniture all made for a very relaxing and entertaining gathering spot for our group. We were able to enjoy the sun on the back deck; early risers were able to enjoy the shaded front porch and watch the horse drawn carriages as they began their day of work; and we bbq'd every evening allowing us to really enjoy the home and all the kitchen amenities. We awoke the first morning and were already planning the next date we could come back and stay at Summerhill House. We would recommend to anyone planning to stay at NOTL - young, young at heart, families, ladies getaways or newlyweds to book with these wondeful and accommodating owners. Their hospitality, great communication and restaurant referral made for a very special weekend.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, families with young children, tourists without a car, age 55+, girls getaway, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, sightseeing.

About the owner: We are a husband and wife furniture retail and interior design team who moved to beautiful Niagara on the Lake two years ago and fell in love with the town. We love to restore properties and felt that Summerhill House, with it's enviable location, was th perfectplace to enjoy a visit to our town and so decided to open it as a holiday cottage rental. We have tried to make it a comfortable 'home from home' and exactly the kind of place we would choose for our own family getaway.
Why the Owner Chose Niagara-on-the-Lake:
We chose our location because there is so much for people to do in the area. We are very close to all the Shaw theatres, which offer excellent entertainment from April to October. We also love the fact that the horse-drawn carriages pass by our front door all year round. Niagara on the Lake is also famous for the quality of it's many wineries and we are well-positioned near to the companies offering tours and bicycle rentals. We feel it is a great area for everyone to have something to do during the whole lengh of their trip.
