Phippsburg cottage description
This is a 5 year old, open plan modern shingle-style home built on property owned by generations of the Sewall/Lee family. The property abuts private conservation lands containing beachfront, woods lakes and rocky promontories and sits on the Southernmost tip of Small Point. The property contains about an acre of lawn and gardens, and is surrounded by woods. The house looks out onto shell beach, seal cove and Seguin Island. The residence is low maintenance and modern, and most importantly, it is very private and located away from most Small Point foot and auto traffic, which is minimal anyway. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns, e-mail will be returned same day. Thanks!
Keywords: Open Modern Home built by local architect with mostly local materials. Large private yard, woods, deck, views and path to many small private beaches, including the massive private Sewall beach.

Massive flat sandy beach stretches for miles, runs all the way to Popham if you don't mind crossing a couple rivers. Picture of beach is taken at this marker. There is a great tidal river for swimming, excellent walking running etc. Very quiet safe environment, often secluded. Family oriented. Dogs on leash....MoreCollapse

About the owner: I am a graduate from the University of Maine at Orono. I work as a MSW in Thomaston Maine, where I have owned an old 1700's cape for about ten years. i live with my partner Michell and our daughter Nadia Marie, and dog Anka. I was born and raised in Berkeley California, but spent time growing up in Small Point and Vinalhaven, Maine.
Why the Owner Chose Phippsburg:
Our extended Lee and Sewall family have owned land in Small Point for generations, and along with a couple other families have developed the land as little as possible while putting most of it into protected conservation land.
The Unique Benefits at this Cottage:
The most important part of Small Point and Bath/Phippsburg is the sense of community, especially for return travelers. It is a safe haven and sports a more pristine beach than any I have ever experienced in California. The privacy, quiet and closeness to nature are key ingredients. Seals, shorebirds, schools of fish, and sometimes migrating wales can be seen/heard from the shores.
