There is a reason they call this "Scenic Gulf Drive" - Come discover some of the most beautiful beaches and majestic views in Destin and, for that matter, the entire Gulf.
A perfect mix of days at the beach, family activities, nearby golf, and a short walk to great restaurants, combine to make Maravilla one of Destin's most desirable vacation addresses. The sugary-white sand beach will call to you for morning walks, afternoon dips, and evening strolls.
Our second home (and, we hope, yours for a while) is located in Building Three, just steps from Maravilla's private beach, or the heated pool with jacuzzi. Our smoke-free and well-appointed condominium features one of the more spacious two-bedroom layouts in the development.
Our Condo has been updated and freshly decorated throughout with shades of yellows, greens, and blues for a cheerful, yet relaxing, color scheme. The main living area has been given a fresh look with white wood furniture and new accessories. These include a Sharp flat screen high definition TV (HDTV) in the well-equipped entertainment center. A new Pier 1 Banana Chair reflects the tropical atmosphere of the Coastal region. Paintings and photos of Mediterranean Islands enhance the look of the new, clean decorating theme.
The Master Bedroom has been completely refurbished in October 2011. A brand new Englander mattress set topped off with Martha Stewart Bedding, new Cindy Crawford furniture, new Panasonic Viera HDTV, all create a sophisticated and comfortable reprieve for our primary guests.
The second Bedroom has a new HDTV with a built in HD DVD Player. This can come in handy when you wish to entertain the kids in a separate area from the adults.
Relax in either of Maravilla's two pools, or spend time under your umbrella at the beach, which we provide, along with two chairs in season. For the more athletically minded, play on one of Destin's many championship golf courses, work out in Maravilla's private fitness center, or play tennis on either of two courts. You can even shoot some hoops or play some shuffleboard on-property.
Of course, there are always amusement parks, miniature golf courses, and shopping at Destin Commons or Silver Sands Factory Stores to compete for your leisure time (and your Visa card limit!).
There's plenty of room for your family of six, and your beach accessories. Enjoy the view from our large, 27 ft. long, third floor balcony that looks out through the coconut palms to the Gulf, and some magnificent sunsets. The balcony is accessible from both the main living area, and the master suite. Step onto the balcony, take a seat in the new patio furniture, sip your favorite beverage, and have a relaxing evening with your family or friends while the breeze rustles through the palms.

We visited Maravilla on several occasions prior to our purchase. While visiting Destin, we looked at numerous other properties but always kept coming back to Maravilla because of the convenient location,the family atmosphere and the great facilities. It was the type of place that we wanted to come back to as a family and we knew that our guests would feel the same way.

We are a family of five. Beth was a special education teacher until we started our family in 1984. At that time, we made a commitment for her to dedicate her time to our children, which involved some sacrifices, but for which we have been blessed. Gary has been in the insurance business since 1984, and his company exclusively serves the insurance needs of financial institutions. We have three adult children.

The condo is just lovely and well stocked with anything you need. The location is perfect - easy walk to the beach or pool and close to shops and restaurants, all while set in a quiet section of town. The free beach setup was awesome and the water was spectacular - crystal clear and emerald green. Not a great view from the balcony and the guest bedroom is a bit small for two adults, but overall the condo was absolutely wonderful. We highly recommend it to anyone looking for a nice place to stay.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, sightseeing, pet owners, girls getaway, age 55+, families with young children.

My husband and I and our small dogs have stayed been going to the Panhandle for the past 15 years. All but 3 times, we stayed at the Maravilla. Gary and Beth's unit was by far the most enjoyable and the nicest. We had problems getting the wireless internet connection and Gary went out of his way to get us online. We loved the fact that the living room had not only a couch and a loveseat but also a large comfortable chair. There was even a recliner in the bedroom which was a huge plus! The kitchen was absolutely stocked to perfection! This was a very comfortable condo and everything advertised was true! We will definitely return!

Thanks for such a great place to stay!!!! We had a great time and everything was perfect!!! Perfect location to the beach, pool and restaurants. We did lots of walking. It was just beautiful. We would definately recomend it to others. Great family oriented beach. My teenage nieces were very happy with the surroundings and shopping!!! As was my Dad and husband. There is something for all ages to enjoy. Thanks again so much.

We just returned from our trip to Destin on Sunday (7/23/06), and what a wonderful trip it was! We loved staying in your condo -- it was beautifully decorated, and SO comfortable! The living room furniture was especially comfortable, and very attractive as well! It is always nice to have the conveniences of a washer & dryer and kitchen, but your place seemed to be even better equipped than most. We hope to return, if not next summer, then definitely the next! Our son and his girlfriend even got engaged during our week there! Thanks again for a great stay!

My husband and I stayed at your condo in late October 2004 for our honeymoon. (Kept forgetting to get in here!) We absolutely loved our stay there. It was extremely convenient to have all the amenities of home at our fingertips (i.e. washer/dryer, iron, kitchen utensils, etc). We were very pleased with everything from scheduling our stay to our actual visit. You guys were very easy to work with...especially considering we waited until the last minute to make reservations! Thanks for helping to make our honeymoon a memorable one! We would love to come back to Destin soon and will most likely be contacting you when we do! Thanks!

We enjoyed our stay the week of Sept 4-11,2004 at this unit and another until at Maravilla. Our grown children and our grandchild spent the week with us. We enjoyed this unit. It is very tastefully decorated and very spacious and comfortable. The weather is perfect in September, if you don't have a hurricane, not excessively hot and not crowded. We have spent the last two years there in September and love the Destin area. We would highly recommend this unit. It was quite and very peaceful watching the sunsets. We love the decor and love the linens.

We recently purchased this property (May 10, 2004) and just started this guestbook around the end of May - so it may be a while before any comments show up. Although we had stayed at Maravilla twice before and knew we loved it, this unit was purchased "sight unseen". We were finally able to spend 5 days in our new condo the week of May 29 - June 5, 2004, and were pleasantly surprised by a number of features - quality of TV's, DVD Player, nice mattresses, large deck, GREAT VIEW, etc, etc! However, that does not mean that we sat back and squandered our first opporunity to start putting a little bit of our character into our new second home. So, we made a bunch of trips to Home Depot, Bed Bath & Beyond, Stein Mart, Haverty's, etc., and started "freshening" things up. Like: New paint in living room, bath #2, dining area, kitchen, bedroom #2; new bedspreads, new pillows, new plants, new accessories, new bath cabinet, new Hampton Bay patio furniture, etc. Our excitement about our new condo helped to carry us through a few 18 hour days, with virtually no beach time (I got in 5 minutes and Beth squeezed in an hour). But, that's okay. We want to be proud of our home and want our guests to enjoy their surroundings. We have some more work to do before we can say we have it the way we want it, but we got a good start on it. August will bring another opportunity for us to continue what we have started. We hope that if you stay with us, you will remember to enter your comments in our guestbook when you return home. Most of all, though, we hope you have a great vacation and enjoy your stay in our home.
