  Our family had a wonderful time at the Shore Club Volente Beach Lake House. It's a beautiful house, perfectly maintained. The 2 bedrooms were plenty of room. The kitchen was modern and clean beautifully landscaped. The location was very convenient, scenery was just grand. The owner, was so helpful and gracious. We definitely recommend staying here. There's just no comparison to a hotel.

  Recommended for: Romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

  Fun! Water park and ziplining! Great bar and restaurant.

  My family and I stayed here recently and really enjoyed it. The living room was spacious with large windows, a big screen tv and a nice size kitchen. The huge private deck was probably the best. It overlooked the water park and had a great view of the lake. It had two tables with umbrellas and a grill which we used to BBQ. It was nice to have the privacy and still be in walking distance to the Water Park, Marina and the Restaraunt next door. Our kids spent most of their time in the pools while my husband and I relaxed on the deck

  Recommended for: Age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.

  This was my third time using VRBO to book a vacation home. Overall I wasn't happy with this house. We arrived at 3:30 just after check- in time. I had to speak with 4 different people and go to 3 different buildings before I got the right person. The women who open the house for us was busy with the businesses next door and didn't know which unit we were in or what the door combination. We couldn't get in/out and lock the door without it. It took her until 10:00p.m.to bring us that information. When the unit was opened it was hot and smelled like it had been kept closed for months. When the women opened the door she went to the air conditioner to turn it on (something that, in the dead of summer, should have been done before our arrival) she stepped over two dead cockraoches and didn't picking them up. The description of the home says it sleeps 6. That is accurate - it has two beds and two LARGE sofas that easily accomodated the two smaller children traveling with us however no additional blankets could be found in the home except a few beach towels in the laundry room. The water park, resturant, and marina are all very close and easy to walk to. The Water park is fair for small children but bigger kids will get bored easily. The bar at the resturant is very nice and priced well. The water was down when we stayed so the marina was a little walk but still easy to get to. When we tried to rent a jet ski from the marina they were all booked up. The resturant had a live band saturday night which was great to listen to on the houses priavate deck but with such close proximity to the house it was loud even inside and difficult to sleep. The kitchen was stocked fair with needed utensils- we cooked two meals while we were there. Overall we wont be staying here again. We dont have small children and the cost of being that close to a small waterpark isn't worth it.

  The listing was accurate regarding the location, unfortunateely, the listing was not accurate regarding description. When we arrived, I found the property manager we were told to contact. Another young girl opened the door and told us the code to go in. No one walked us through or explained anything about the property. No ID was checked. I had to find someone a bit later to be told how to lock the door. The restaurant/bar is practically on top of the rental. The bar remains open very late on Saturday nights. The music was so loud, it was impossible to sleep. It played till after midnight. The pictures look much better than the rental. I now see why there are no pictures of the bathrooms, they are very dated and dirty. One bathroom smelled so badly of urine, I could not even brush my teeth in there. Broken blinds in the didnig room, where the sliding doors to the deck are broken and unuseable as well. The fan in the dining room had a missing blade and dangled from the ceiling. We thought it was going to fall down when we turned it on and paniced to turn it off. The rental was not properly cleaned upon our arrival. Our childrens bed had either human or dog hair on blanket which we would not use. The Bedroom my husband and I stayed in, was no better, The mattress sunk to the middle and the mattress pad cover was plastic. The cloth mattress pad cover was on the closet floor. As for water, there is absolutely no pressure. The shower heads are old and dated. One was broken and could not be used. At one point we turned the water on a day after we arrived and found we had no water. At that point I contacted the owner to tell him how upset I was about everything. He explained they bring water in and he would have his property managers come by to address the other issues. They did come by to listen to our issues and offer to have someone come in to clean. At that point, it was to little to late. I was told just not to use the fan. I did most of the cleaning myself for my family. I would not recommend this property to my family or friends. I did enjoy being on the marina with our kids and made the best of it. Had I not paid so much for the place already, I would have left and gone to a near by hotel. The water park next door was nothing to write home about. The pool was very dirty and I would not swim in it. We were supposed to check out on Tuesday morning, but we left on Monday morning instead. I did email the owner explaining we were checking out early.

  We rented this house because it was near the marina where we rented a party barge during the day & did not want to drive afterwards. It was a great! The house was cute and spacious enough for 5 people. The people were super friendly. It was right next to a restaurant that had great food and staff-Volente Waterpark was next door as well-There was a view of Lake Travis from the deck during the day and at night we enjoyed listening to the music on the deck from the restaurant next door. We will stay there again. Make sure to ask for condiments (salt & pepper, sugar, creamer, etc) and dish soap if you will be cooking there.

  Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.
