So our family of 4 rented this cabin and had a nice long weekend in Sun River. The weather was beautiful and we had many relaxing hours on the back deck. We had a great time at SHARC, which is in walking distance. The cabin was very spacious and the setting was nice and quiet. There were some things that would have made our stay more comfortable, however. In other VRBO rentals, we have appreciated when they have been stocked with shampoo, conditioner, napkins, sun screen, and even a junk drawer where I could find a pen, paper, or maybe take out menus of local eateries. This place did not have any of those conveniences that I was able to find. It was kind of a typical 1970s or 1980s style and has not really been updated. I would have preferred a little bit cleaner of a place, but for the price it was OK. We had issues with some light bulbs being out. We have young kids, and my guess is that the upstairs balcony banisters are not up to code -- they are spaced very far apart and even with the yellow "caution tape" it made us a little nervous. Also, for little kids, the hot water heater seems to be set too hot -- the water got really got really fast. Overall, we did enjoy our stay.

Owner response: Thanks for your review! It helps us to know what we can do better! I'm sorry that you found some things less than perfect. As the last renter at the very end of a completely-booked summer, the light bulbs, supplies, and dirty carpet issues are understandable, but still not okay. The cabin is developing such a following that it has been hard to find a time to get into it myself. I will start blocking out a few days mid-summer, to get these things taken care of. As for the bigger issues you bring up, you are a very perceptive renter! The hot water heater was producing COLD water earlier in the summer. With the house totally booked until now, we could not get in to get it replaced. It would make hot water if turned up a little too high. Better than cold. New water heater is ordered and will be installed this month. You are right, the railings around the loft are not up to today's codes. They are up to the codes at the time the cabin was built, and we could leave them, but that isn't good enough for me! A fix for the problem has already been planned, bid, and will begin this week. Again, thanks for your useful comments. Please come back again!

We just returned from a small family reunion in Sunriver.Having been raised in Grants Pass and being a retired teacher in Medford, I was familiar with the Sunriver resort. Now living in Southern California, I wanted to impress my new wife and step kids with the area.I believe I succeeded!! We were also joined by my 4 boys and we had our first 5some in golf. They all beat me so it looks like I will have to practice! We went rafting down the Big Eddy, climbing Smith Rock, hiking to Tumolo Falls, going to SHARK(with the 8 passes!),venturing into the beautiful town of Bend,as well as many other things. There just wasn't enough time to do it all!Our place at 11 Landrise was functional and well equipped. As stated in other reviews,it is not fancy, but the price is right. We spent most of our time outside doing other things like bike riding anyway. The kitchen is a little tight but well equipped. All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed the place and would definitely recommend it!A couple of small suggestions might be to include a few larger fans...especially upstairs where it gets quite warm.Another suggestion might be to include a mirror in the 2nd queen bedroom. That would allow those that want it to use the mirror in the bedroom and allow the bathroom to be freed up for the next person.Although we brought our own bikes,a few bikes would be nice. All in all, we had a fantastic time and would definitely recommend the place. The owner was also very helpful in answering all of our questions.

This is our second visit to Sunriver and we were happy to be able to find such a GREAT deal. The home has all you would need for a short stay and we were extra happy to have the 8 SHARC passes. Hot tub and patio furniture, the boys were happy to have a foosball table to play. The home is a little dated, but a deal for us. Owner was very helpful with any questions I had, Thanks so much!

Owner response: We are glad that you enjoyed your stay, and that our cabin worked so well for your family. Thanks so much for your kind words.... please come back!
We had a lovely stay at this cabin. My highschool daughter and her three friends used the upstairs bedroom and loft as their space. Downstairs the two bedrooms were very nice for myself in one and my mom in the more spacious vaulted ceiling room. We especially liked the kitchen which had everything we needed to cook wonderful breakfasts and dinners. Also playing cards at night, in the living room by the fire was perfect. The hot tub was wonderful in the evening, and being able to walk or ride the short distance to the new indoor and outdoor pool facility was very handy. And the 8 free passes saved us from having to pay any entrance fees. All in all we had a great time and we liked this cabin very much.

Owner response: Thank you for your kind words about our cabin! We love it when our renters enjoy the cabin as much a we do. Please come back!
We stayed here during late June/early July and we had a great time at Sun River. The house was very roomy and comfortable and had all of the amenities of home. The grill and the hot tub are both on the patio right outside of the kitchen which made meal preparation very easy. We enjoyed being able to have access to food, drinks, grilling and “hot tubing” all at the same time. We really enjoyed the easy walk to the new Sharc facilities and very much appreciated having 8 pool passes. The owner was great to work with and responded quickly.

Perfect for Kids and Dogs
Perfect for Kids and Dogs
This house was perfect for our family. What a treat it was to be able to take our dogs on vacation with us. The house is a bit older, but clean and functional. We enjoyed the hot tub and close proximity to SHARC and the village. The bike trail runs right by the house, which gave the kids some good freedom, without a worry from the parents. Nothing fancy, but a very good value for the money. Laurie (the owner) was very responsive to our needs.

We had a nice stay at this house. It is older, but well kept. A great location in the middle of everything.Walking distance to the SHARC.That is a very nice facility and oriented toward the younger kids, but I still enjoyed the water slides. It would be expensive without the passes that are included with this rental. We had some cool nights and had a fire in the fireplace. The kitchen is on the small side, but we are not living in it and it was well stocked with dishes and pans.Overall this place is an excellent value during high season or any season.I forgot that being able to bring your dog was another plus.
