Perfect vacation home for 2 families! Hale Laulea, the House of Peace and Happiness is the ultimate in Hawaiian comfort and luxury. This spectacular home, impeccably clean and beautifully furnished, is situated on a quiet cul-de-sac in one of Princeville’s most prestigious neighborhoods. This 4 bedroom, 4.5 bath home can accommodate a maximum of 12 guests. There are 2 master suites each with California King beds, and en-suite bathrooms. One of the master suites can also accommodate a child in the oversized chair that folds out into a twin size sleeper. Both master suites have HDTV with cable and DVD players. Each master suite opens to a covered lanai, where you can relax with your morning coffee or afternoon tea. The third bedroom has a full size bed with a twin trundle, perfect for teens, and the fourth bedroom has two twin beds. There are two separate living areas, one upstairs and one downstairs, (adults and children can each have their own play space!) with an additional queen size sofa sleeper downstairs, along with a large screen HDTV, cable and DVD player. A fully equipped office with fax/copy machine, also has a day bed for an additional person if needed, and there is high speed wireless internet throughout the house. A port-a crib is available for your littlest one!
The gourmet kitchen is fully equipped, stocked with everything you will need to cook a gourmet meal or Hawaiian bar-be-que, and includes stainless steel appliances, granite counters, and ample dining space. The upstairs covered wrap around lanai includes a gas barbeque, and boasts stunning mountain and valley views. Walk across the street and experience beautiful ocean sunsets perched atop the cliff overlooking the ocean. Just a block away you can access the trail that leads to down to a beautiful beach on the Anini Reef for snorkeling, swimming and shelling. In Hale Laulea you’ll find everything you will need to complete your family vacation; bikes, tennis racquets, boogie boards, sand toys and beach chairs. You will also find portable coolers, beach towels, family videos and board games for everyone to enjoy at the end of the day.

This place is fabulous! It's decorated with luscious island elegance. The house has all the amenities you could possibly need. This place has plenty of style. It's way more spacious, open and airy than it appears in the photos, breath-catching as you walk in the door. One step into the house we started to wish we never had to leave. The layout is ideal for families. There's certainly room for two families, which is how we've experienced it. The floor plan allows privacy and quiet so everyone can enjoy themselves without being in the same space or doing the same activities. There's common space both upstairs and downstairs and the bedrooms are unaffected by noise in these common areas. We spent many evenings with some of us awake socializing while others slept peacefully. The house has sand toys, games, lots of equipment for enjoying the gorgeous surroundings. The house is on a peaceful cul-de-sac, at the end of a quiet street; it's safe for kids to bike there, plus there's a phenomenal spot across the street on a cliff overlooking the ocean where we sat on towels and watched the sunset several times. The beaches are very close, so easy to get to. It's hard to choose between the sweet small beaches that are a few minutes away, one with water so still our littlest kid could go in safely without me holding onto him, and the equally close gorgeous beach at Hanalei, where one of my kids learned to boogie board. I've spent hours watching the surfers and paddle-boarders at Hanalei, and swum up and down the shore-line at Hanalei. The house and grounds feel very secluded with expansive views, but actually it has super-quick access to the grocery store, shave ice kiosk, Lappert's ice cream shop (with delicious coffee and espresso drinks too!), and cluster of good restaurants and upscale island just a few streets away. The Hanalei shopping area, restaurants and cafes are a very short drive away as well-- the house is truly lovely, conveniently located in a pristine, high end area of the Island. Yes, we love this place, just love it!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, adventure seekers.

This magnificent home with breathtaking views delivered all that was promised and more. The state-of-the-art kitchen, fully appointed bathrooms and large-sized rooms allowed all of us to fully enjoy the experience of visiting Kauai. We were able to use the bicycles provided and explore the area and we were a short walk from world class golfing and tennis courts as well as to the Princeville Town Center where we could pick up groceries,have a meal or enjoy an ice cream with our friends and family. Not to be missed is the sunset from the terrace of the St-Regis Princeville Hotel also located near by. The home was spotless and the grounds exceptionally well-maintained. The large back garden allowed much enjoyed outdoor space for our children as did the convenience of being located in a quiet cul-de-sac. We highly recommend this property for a couple's retreat or a more lively vacation with all the kids! About the owner: We fell in love with Kauai on our first visit over 20 years ago.We continued to vacation on the island over the years and as our family grew, we began to rent vacation homes in Princeville. It was always the most relaxing, easiest vacation with our young kids, and we loved the neighborhood feel of the North Shore.

Our vacation home has become the meeting spot for our family to come from all corners of the US and Canada.The beach in Hanalei Bay is only a few minutes drive and is the perfect beach for everyone to enjoy. Wide open soft sand beaches are never crowded and the surf in the summer months is ideal for small children. It is also the perfect spot to learn surfing for beginners, with surf for intermediate and advanced surfers nearby.Also popular at Hanalei beach is stand up paddle boarding
