This is the second time we have rented this home, and once again it was a great experience. My husband surprised me with a weekend visit to Lake Lure, and he arranged for several friends to join us. Liz was again very responsive to his communication, and we appreciate her attention! The house is in a great location - close to downtown Lake Lure and Chimney Rock. The rental was very clean and well appointed. We didn't need anything! The bedrooms are a good size with comfortable beds. The dining area is a little small inside the house, but the addition of the picnic table outside fixed that issue! We spent a lot of time on the decks, admiring the woods and enjoying the quiet. My husband and young children went for several walks, noting wild life to include deer, turkey, birds, beaver. The kids loved it, and so did the adults! We visit this area several times per year, and we often ride along the Blue Ridge Parkway and hike. Several of the rest rooms were closed in the pull offs, but we know the area well and were able to track one down. We assume it is a consequence of sequestration. We also visit downtown Lake Lure and Chimney Rock, walking around and enjoying the views. We would recommend this property highly and will likely rent from Liz again. Thank you for another wonderful visit! We used the charcoal grill each night we were there.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

The house was just as described - easily would sleep 8+. We loved having our evening beverages and morning coffee out on the deck listening to the birds and watching the deer. A great location to take walks as well, you really felt like you were out in the country away from it all, yet we were a 10 minute drive to the lake and several restaurants. We were also 10 minutes away from chimney rock, and it was well worth the hike up all those stairs for the view. We also did a day trip out to Grandfather Mountain and went across the mile high swinging bridge. The house had everything we needed, and more. We really enjoyed property and would,go back in a heartbeat. The owner, Liz, was very helpful and went out of her way to answer our questions - EXTREMELY CUSTOMER ORIENTED!!!! When we thought we left something in the house, I emailed Liz and got a response in minutes. She had her housekeeper double check for us and got right back with us. Very happy with our stay! As mentioned in other reviews, watch that driveway, it is steep! Just adds to the adventure! ;)Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

We arrived at this cabin in Sept. The cabin was exactly as described and better than the pictures. There was plenty of room and sitting outside on the deck in mornings and afternoons watching deer was my favorite part. The house was close enough to town and restaurants to make it easy but still was very private. The cabin was very clean and well supplied. lake Lure is lovely and we would highly recommend this house and the area.Recommended for: Pet owners, adventure seekers, families with young children, families with teenagers, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+.

Beautiful log home, comfortable and clean! Plenty of room for everyone! Found quaint delicious restaurants nearby. Close to Chimney Rock (enjoyed the climb and the view) Nice shopping and restaurants there too and only 5 mins away! Beautiful drive to Asheville. Only negatives were the challenge of the driveway, steep and if frozen plan on staying till it melts LOL! Supplys like soap and TP should have brought some! Small things compared to the niceness of the house! We really enjoyed our stay, would definitely return and recommend to a friends and family!Did you find this review helpful? Loved this house, deer playing in the back yard. Clean, well maintained better than we expected. Three bedrooms, three baths and three living areas. Great for two families or multi-generational family like ours. Owner responded quickly to inquiries. Only issue we had was parking was a little tricky. Have already recommended it to others. Loved Lake Lure, Biltmore and just the area.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 3/3

We loved this cabin! What we loved most is the privacy. You are surrounded by the woods and it's very quiet and peaceful. Perfect for our anniversary getaway. We came the week after Labor Day so the crowds were gone but it's still summer weather - great time to visit. We were also able to stay with our dog which was a must for us. The cabin looks new, clean and comfortable. Everything we needed was provided: clean sheets and towels, kitchen fully stocked with dishes, washing machine & dryer. The only thing we couldn't locate was an iron and ironing board but we made due with the fluff setting on the dryer. The cabin has a few sitting areas on the wrap-around porch which we enjoyed, although it would've been nice to have a lounge chair or hammock out there, for a little outdoor nap, and a small table for eating outside. Just a suggestion. One minor issue we had was with the showers. In the shower on the 2nd floor, we couldn't get the water temperature to regulate - it was either too hot or Off, I'm not sure what was going on with that. And the 1st floor shower drain was clogged from day one. A bit annoying but I still think the cabin deserves 5 Stars. The driveway is narrow and steep so we found it best to back in. No issue finding the cabin with GPS Navigation and the location is perfect; short drive away from activities and restaurants. We recommend Chimney Rock Park and Lake Lure Boat Tours & Rentals. We did most of our own cooking at the cabin but we did order take-out pizza from La Strada one night, it was pretty good. The cabin owner, Liz, was easy to get a hold of, very friendly and helpful. We will definitely keep this cabin on our list of places to stay should we visit Lake Lure again.Owner response: Thank you for the Glad you enjoyed the cabin. I did have a the showers checked and drain fixed. The upstairs shower was found to be working fine but, appreciate the input!

This place was great and even more then we expected. The place was clean, fresh and had everything we needed during our stay and more. It was so nice to wake up each morning and sit out on the balcony sipping coffee and listening to the birds. Catching deer and wild turkeys in the woods once in awhile was an added bonus. Chimney Rock was just minutes from the cabin where we loved to stop in for lunch or ice cream. Out pets also loved being able to spend time outside and taking hikes with us through the woods. We sure appreciate that you opened your place to us and hope to visit again in the near future. Thank you for giving us the perfect vacation spot!!Did you find this review helpful? My husband and I rented this home for 7 nights throughout the July 4th holiday. We had a friend join us for a couple of nights, and we enjoyed the house. Before we arrived the owner communicated with us regularly, and she responded quickly whenever I sent her an email. The house is in a great location - about 5 minutes to Chimney Rock or downtown Lake Lure. The house is in a quiet location, and we often saw deer near the property. We did not utilize the basement room, but the bedrooms we did use were good. The rooms were large, and the stone showers demonstrated beautiful workmanship. Plenty of hot water for everyone. The kitchen was well stocked, and we used the charcoal grill almost every night. We also had a fire in the fire pit and made smores - despite the 100 degree weather. You gotta do it! We did not have any cell phone or internet service (Sprint had none and Verizon had very little), but we never do in Lake Lure. That is one of the reasons we enjoy it there! We hiked several days and enjoyed the beautiful mountain locations, including Mt. Mitchell, Mt. Pisgah, Linville Falls and Craggy Gardens. We also rented a boat for a couple of days (one day from Rumbling Bald Resort and one day from Lake Lure Adventures). We love the area, and there is something for everyone! We would recommend this home, and again the owner has been very responsive to our questions and supportive.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 2/2
