Great stay! House was neat, clean and comfortable, and we had everything we needed to make it a great vacation. We had not been back to the Cape San Blas area in 18 years, but it was just like we remembered it. We fished in the bay and caught trout and flounder that provided meals of delicious fish. It was a wonderful experience to be back and duplicate our earlier experiences. The beach was clean and enjoyable. Our grand kids enjoyed picking up shells. The rental house was exactly what we wanted. We recommend it highly.Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers, girls getaway.

This was our first winter as snowbirds traveling to Florida and we could not have been more pleased. We were attracted to the area because of the dog-friendly beaches and will return because of the ambiance of the area, the friendliness of the people and great restaurants. The area makes me think of “Old Florida” - what I imagine Florida must have been like before all the development. It is quiet, casual and laid back. Not the place to go if you are looking for a lot of night life. But if you want a relaxing vacation, friendly people and quiet beaches, Cape San Blas is the place to be. The pictures on the website do not do 2 Crazy Beaches justice. We found the house to be roomier than expected. It was comfortable and well furnished. The BBQ grill was an extra plus – we used it quite a bit. Pretty much everything you need, whether for a short stay or our two month hiatus from the northern cold and snow. 2 Crazy Beaches is only about 200 yards from the beach, so you can spend your time and energy walking on it – not to it. The beach is beautiful, and at least during the months of February and March, more or less deserted. It is like having your own private paradise. Situated between St. Joseph Bay and the Gulf, there were abundant opportunities to view various forms of wildlife. From eagles to porpoises, everyday was an adventure. If you are into kayaking, don’t miss Happy Ours, a bike and kayak rental walking distance from the house. Our half-day, self guided, kayak adventure was amazing. The Bay is shallow and full of interesting animals and plants. There are a number of great restaurants in Port St. Joe and Apalachicola. The Indian Pass Raw Bar is not to be missed. Great oysters and friendly people. Finally, the owners of 2 Crazy Beaches were a delight to work with. They made everything easy so we could enjoy our winter on the Cape. Thank you ladies!Recommended for: Families with young children, pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+.
Owner response: Ron, You and Denise were the perfect guests. Thank you for staying with us. I'm so glad you had such a wonderful stay. It appears you both really enjoyed yourselves. Thank you for the kind words and the wonderful review. I hope to get to meet you next year. Come back any time. Julie

When we walked in "wow!" was all we could say. Our group was amazed at how well thought out every detail was in the rental, it had everything we needed for our stay. The walk to the beach was an easy one, which was nice when it was time to go back to get something to eat or drink. Spent some time at Indian Pass Raw Bar and the reviews are true, I wish I could get back for some more shrimp... It was great being close by Port St. Joe and to the state park, both made for easy trips. We can't wait until next year for another trip!Recommended for: Pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+, girls getaway.

Our family enjoyed our week's stay at Two Crazy Beaches beach house. I particularly liked: Ceiling fans and TV’s in every room was awesome! Screened in Porch (wished it faced the water instead of road but still loved it!) Washer & Dryer (first class - very nice) Plastic dishware to use for sandwiches and snacks, and baby dishware (we used the little baby bowls for dipping cups. My kids have to dip everything in ranch dressing, ketchup, or steak sauce and they don’t want it on the plate. We loved the big family dining table and 6 hi-top chairs and the completed the (2) 1000 pc picture puzzles provided on that table, it was a lot of fun doing those! We only wished we had brought some board games for the rainy days but forgot so loved the puzzles. We enjoyed making daiquiri’s and retreating to the family room and big screen TV enjoying watching the Olympics together every night. Loved the loft where my (2) boys, Brad 22, & Travis 13 resided so I couldn’t see their mess of clothes on the floor and the fact that they didn’t make their beds everyday. As long as I can’t see it, that’s great! My daughter, Haley whose husband couldn’t join us, loved her private bedroom and Doug and I loved our master bedroom and very nice bathroom. The closets were filled with everything we needed from extra sheets, towels, iron, drying rack, hangers, etc was great! The kitchen cabinets had everything you needed too (we loved all the large and colorful plastic drinkware and frosted mugs were nice! Although the weather was very rainy and the beaches were not ideal due to a storm the previous week, the loveliness of the beach house and the affordability of our week long stay made a trip very much worthwhile and fun!Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, age 55+, girls getaway.
Owner response: Thank you Dorothy for your nice words and great review. I do wish I could control the weather more, ha! I hope you guys will come again, and am so glad you enjoyed your stay. We put some of your suggestions into action, like board games and more room for groceries in the cabinets!~Julie

2 Crazy Beaches is the perfect getaway - everything that you need is included in the home which is very clean and welcoming. A nice quiet beach is a short walk away and the location of the home at the beginning of the cape makes it easy to explore all that the area has to offer. All of our group from the people to the pups thoroughly enjoyed their stay and we hope to return!Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers, girls getaway.

We had the best time! Perfect weather and a great place to stay! Very quick walk to the beach and the sand by the shore is packed tight so it's easier to walk on (found some cool seashells!). The house has everything you would need - we brought beach towels, but there were plenty there!! The kitchen has everything you need to cook a great meal. My favorite part about the house is the outdoor shower - very private, yet made you feel like an exhibitionist! :) Great walking/running trail along side the road. We brought our boat and used the state park boat landing - very convenient and not crowded. You can drive on the beach (you need a permit) and if you're staying more than a weekend - it's well worth the cost (need a truck/SUV). You can drive from the lighthouse to Indian Pass - a real neat experience!! We will definitely be back for more!!Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing, adventure seekers, girls getaway.
Owner response: Thank you Paula for staying with us, and for your kind words and nice review. I hope you will come again!

We had a great experience at 2 Crazy Beaches... the kitchen was well equipped and house looks better in person than in the pictures. We go to Cape San Blas every year because is by far the best dog friendly beach in the southeast.Recommended for: Pet owners.
Owner response: Thank you for staying with us and for your kind words. The pet friendly beaches are very important to us as well. I am so happy you enjoyed your stay. We hope you will come back again when you can visit longer. ~Julie Rayburn and Jyll Gandy, Owners of 2 Crazy Beaches

I had the most WONDERFUL time at Cape San Blas- 2 Crazy Beaches. When I say it was the perfect vacation, I mean every word. The house is so warm and welcoming, the beach is beautiful, and the town is perfect. I went with some of my closest friends, who all have nothing but good things to say, and we had an excellent time. We were able to leave our belongings on the beach every single night, the owner gave us fabulous recommendations on food, and the people are all very friendly. We are already planning our second trip back. This home, and town, is HIGHLY recommended for really people of all ages. Everyone who went in my group was early twenties and we could not have asked for a better time. The house was perfect!!! I can't WAIT to come back :) Oh and the house/beach is also pet friendly! What more can you ask for?! For me, I couldn't have asked for a better time!Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+, adventure seekers, girls getaway.
Owner response: Thank you Sally for your sweet review. Your are welcome back anytime. I am so glad you and all of your friends enjoyed your stay. I wish I could have gotten together, at least over dinner at the Raw bar with all of you one evening. I am convinced this is the best beach and best little secret in the world, but I think word is getting out. It is also a safe and quiet place for those who have never been! Please come back again and visit with us, my friends at the beach loved you all! I hope the week made your birthday special!

What an adorable beach house! I had a great time at this beach house, it is a great place to get away for a while with your family or close friends. If you don't want to be crammed into a condo, hear people running around above you or in the hallways this is the place for you! This beach is so relaxing, not thousands of people on the beach and you have plenty of privacy. It is a piece of paradise. :)Recommended for: Families with young children, romantic getaway, girls getaway.
Owner response: Thank you Ellie for your most recent stay at 2 Crazy Beaches. You are always welcome here. I am so glad you enjoyed your time and our beach house. Thank you for the kind words as well, I hope you will be back soon! The beach and piece of paradise is what I love about it too!

Owner info
Year Purchased: 2012
About the owner: Hi, we are Julie Rayburn and Jyll Gandy. We purchased this beach house as a partnership. We both love the area and have wanted to do this for a long time, the opportunity was right so we bought it and would like to share it with you. Julie is from Georgia where she lives with her family, and Jyll lives in Tallahassee. We both try to get to the beach as much as we can but are busy working and raising families of our own. So this is our get-a-away when we can get there, our home away from home. This area of Florida is one of the best kept secrets ever. We have two Pit Bulls, Diesel and Yeti, they travel to the Beach with us most of the time. Our family loves the pet friendly beaches, especially this one!~ Julie You won't find much fast food here or any high rise buildings, there aren't even many hotels. What you will find is the good life, good people, new friends and hopefully you will return again and again. This is what they call 'Old Florida', or the Forgotten Coast', but we hope you won't forget it. We love it here and hope you will too.
Why the Owner Chose Cape Dunes:
The area is not too fast paced. The beaches and sites are beautiful. Depending on which area of the beach you want to go to you can see many things, the wildlife and lots of scenery. We love the restaurants in the area. One of our favorite's is the Indian Pass Raw Bar, located only 3.5 miles away.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
We have a front porch that is great for morning coffee or evening gatherings. The beach is great for long walks or lazy sunny days on the beach. We can set up our beach chairs and tent and it will stay all week. Sometimes on the beach you will only see a hand full of people, sometimes you will see a few more, depending on the season. There is great fishing from the beach or from one of the local fishing guides. You can dine in, grill your catch of the day, or go out and find a great restaurant in the area. There are many great places around to eat. Try them all, we are not too far from Mexico Beach, Panama City or Apalachicola.
