Wonderful place to stay at a very private secluded beach. This house is just like home. Beautifully decorated with all the essentials plus some that made our stay wonderful. The porch was great for reading and relaxing and enjoying a morning rain from. Very private. I love 2 crazy beaches and look forward to another visit in the future.

GREAT WEEK AT THE BEACH
GREAT WEEK AT THE BEACH
Just returned from a week @ this great beach house. We felt as if we were on our own private beach most days. We rented chairs/umbrella from Scallop Cove and left them on the beach with no problem. Our morning ritual @ 7:30 was a walk with pitbull Moose to the pier at the park on the bay side and then across the street to the beach where she chased shore birds and explored the beach off leash. We loved the well stocked kitchen for preparing fresh seafood from 13 Mile Seafood. Loved the "raws" @ Indian Pass Raw Bar. If your looking for a quite relaxing vacation with your four legged friend I highly recommend this pet friendly rental and beach. Julie, thanks for sharing you beach gem with us.

Owner response: Susan, Thank you for the wonderful review. We are so happy you enjoyed your time at the beach. I'm glad you were able to take advantage of some of the local places near by. Your vacation sounds fantastic. In fact you visited during one of my favorite times. During Spring and Summer you do tend to have your own beach! Happy to hear your furry family member enjoyed her time too, our pit bulls love the beach as well. You are welcome to come back and bring her whenever you like. Take care and visit us again soon.
Loved the house..nice & big.Very clean & decorated nicely..The only negative was that we thought the boardwalk would be closer. The peacefulness made up for the walk to the beach! We needed a little exercise anyway! The water was clear a few days & muddy some days, but that's out of anyones control..We felt right at home there. We had no noise from the road or from our neighbors, the house is pretty soundproof.

A Vacation to Remember!
A Vacation to Remember!
This was truly a wonderful vacation experience for our family! Two Crazy Beaches was a perfect home away from home. The covered carport is great for unpacking/packing in case of rain. Outdoor shower and hoses are a smart touch. The screened in porch was the perfect place for a cup of coffee or glass of wine. We cooked most of our meals and found the kitchen was very well-stocked. The house was super clean and nicely decorated . The loft with twin beds was a perfect place for our two young sons (who thought the spiral stairs were the coolest part of the house!) The house is convenient to both the bay and beach, where we spent a lot of time kayaking, snorkeling, scalloping, playing etc. We also made s'mores at our first ever campfire on the beach! We had lots of wildlife encounters which was a priceless educational experience for all of us but especially for the kids. (deer, sea snails, urchins, horseshoe crabs, starfish, rays, hermit crabs, blue crabs, and more!) The beaches are beautiful, and we LOVE that they are basically private - no crowds, no traffic, no high-rises = AWESOME! The state park is about a 10 minute drive and is a "must do" - both bay side and beach side. Thanks again ~ we're already looking forward to our next visit!

A vacation to remember!
A vacation to remember!
What a wonderful week...this was a perfectly relaxing vacation. Two Crazy Beaches is a great place to stay...the grandkids loved the loft and the house had everything that we needed - even beach toys for the grandkids. The kids enjoyed the outdoor shower ( and so did I...it was nice getting all the sand off before coming inside). The house is comfortable and inviting... We swam, taught the kids how to boogie board, saw a lot of dolphins, chased sand crabs, found so many sea shells, we watched the stars come out at night, sat on the screened in porch and made so many happy memories. My sister, two nephews, and mother came down also. Mother said it really reminded her of Old Florida and how the beaches used to be... We rode to the public beach at Cape San Blas, went to the state park, and took the kids to Gulf World in Panama City one day when there was a red flag warning. The owners were very helpful in answering my questions before hand and I have already recommended Two Crazy Beaches to my friends. Thank you for a beautiful place to stay. I am so glad we came to Two Crazy Beaches!

Owner response: Thank you Nancy for visiting with us and bringing your sweet family. Thank you for the nice comments and review as well. I'm glad you enjoyed your stay. It sounds like everyone had a good time. I love the "Old Florida" feel and look of the area too. In fact it is my favorite thing about this part of the beach. I love not having to worry with traffic and the city life! Please come again. ~Julie
We absolutely loved Two Crazy Beaches house for our vacation with our adult children & 11 month old grandson. The kitchen is probably one of the best equipped for a rental house that I have ever stayed in. The only thing I would recommend adding to it is an electric hand-held mixer. It was extremely clean & roomy. The loft was perfect for my 20 year old daughter. We loved the enclosed porch where we were able to sit & allow a very active boy to play & we didn't have to worry about him getting out. The beach was amazing! We took our chairs/umbrella/toys down on Saturday afternoon & left everything there until Friday. Nothing was disturbed. We went into Apalach for dinner at The Owl (highly recommend) & then went back the next day for lunch at Two Sisters. The chicken salad at Two Sisters was amazing. Spent an afternoon at the State Park beach but found that we enjoyed our own "private" beach much more. Thank you again! Port St Joe/Cape San Blas was definitely a winner vacation in our book & we will certainly be back again!

What a great place to stay on the cape! The place has everything you could want/need. Plenty of towels, comfortable bed, great living and kitchen space. A short walk to a very uncrowded beach. We really enjoyed our stay. Thank you!

Return to the Cape
Return to the Cape
Great stay! House was neat, clean and comfortable, and we had everything we needed to make it a great vacation. We had not been back to the Cape San Blas area in 18 years, but it was just like we remembered it. We fished in the bay and caught trout and flounder that provided meals of delicious fish. It was a wonderful experience to be back and duplicate our earlier experiences. The beach was clean and enjoyable. Our grand kids enjoyed picking up shells. The rental house was exactly what we wanted. We recommend it highly.

Terrific Snowbird Getaway
Terrific Snowbird Getaway
This was our first winter as snowbirds traveling to Florida and we could not have been more pleased. We were attracted to the area because of the dog-friendly beaches and will return because of the ambiance of the area, the friendliness of the people and great restaurants. The area makes me think of “Old Florida” - what I imagine Florida must have been like before all the development. It is quiet, casual and laid back. Not the place to go if you are looking for a lot of night life. But if you want a relaxing vacation, friendly people and quiet beaches, Cape San Blas is the place to be. The pictures on the website do not do 2 Crazy Beaches justice. We found the house to be roomier than expected. It was comfortable and well furnished. The BBQ grill was an extra plus – we used it quite a bit. Pretty much everything you need, whether for a short stay or our two month hiatus from the northern cold and snow. 2 Crazy Beaches is only about 200 yards from the beach, so you can spend your time and energy walking on it – not to it. The beach is beautiful, and at least during the months of February and March, more or less deserted. It is like having your own private paradise. Situated between St. Joseph Bay and the Gulf, there were abundant opportunities to view various forms of wildlife. From eagles to porpoises, everyday was an adventure. If you are into kayaking, don’t miss Happy Ours, a bike and kayak rental walking distance from the house. Our half-day, self guided, kayak adventure was amazing. The Bay is shallow and full of interesting animals and plants. There are a number of great restaurants in Port St. Joe and Apalachicola. The Indian Pass Raw Bar is not to be missed. Great oysters and friendly people. Finally, the owners of 2 Crazy Beaches were a delight to work with. They made everything easy so we could enjoy our winter on the Cape. Thank you ladies!

When we walked in "wow!" was all we could say. Our group was amazed at how well thought out every detail was in the rental, it had everything we needed for our stay. The walk to the beach was an easy one, which was nice when it was time to go back to get something to eat or drink. Spent some time at Indian Pass Raw Bar and the reviews are true, I wish I could get back for some more shrimp... It was great being close by Port St. Joe and to the state park, both made for easy trips. We can't wait until next year for another trip!

About the owner: Hi, we are Julie Rayburn and Jyll Gandy. We purchased this beach house as a partnership. We both love the area and have wanted to do this for a long time, the opportunity was right so we bought it and would like to share it with you. Julie is from Georgia where she lives with her family, and Jyll lives in Tallahassee. We both try to get to the beach as much as we can but are busy working and raising families of our own. So this is our get-a-away when we can get there, our home away from home. This area of Florida is one of the best kept secrets ever. We have two Pit Bulls, Diesel and Yeti, they travel to the Beach with us most of the time. Our family loves the pet friendly beaches, especially this one!~ Julie You won't find much fast food here or any high rise buildings, there aren't even many hotels. What you will find is the good life, good people, new friends and hopefully you will return again and again. This is what they call 'Old Florida', or the Forgotten Coast', but we hope you won't forget it. We love it here and hope you will too.
Why the Owner Chose Cape Dunes:
The area is not too fast paced. The beaches and sites are beautiful. Depending on which area of the beach you want to go to you can see many things, the wildlife and lots of scenery. We love the restaurants in the area. One of our favorite's is the Indian Pass Raw Bar, located only 3.5 miles away.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
We have a front porch that is great for morning coffee or evening gatherings. The beach is great for long walks or lazy sunny days on the beach. We can set up our beach chairs and tent and it will stay all week. Sometimes on the beach you will only see a hand full of people, sometimes you will see a few more, depending on the season. There is great fishing from the beach or from one of the local fishing guides. You can dine in, grill your catch of the day, or go out and find a great restaurant in the area. There are many great places around to eat. Try them all, we are not too far from Mexico Beach, Panama City or Apalachicola.
