  We loved our stay at Rum Cove- everything about it was wonderful. Our kids loved the pool, playing at the beach and riding around the island on the golf carts. This vacation was one of the most relaxing ones we have ever had. Before we even left the island, my kids were asking if we could come back again next year. The owners, Joe and Barbara were wonderful. They made sure everything was perfect for our stay. The house was clean and well stocked. We would definitely stay again at Rum Cove- the location was perfect and it had everything we needed. Beach towels, a very nice pool, a dock to park a boat, boys could fish (fishing poles were given to us by Joe)washer and dryer and 2 golf carts. Thank you Joe and Barbara for giving us this opportunity. Also Thank You to Sarah Rapp! She answered all my questions and was top notch! I was a little nervous because everything was all new to us but she made everything run smoothly. Everyone on the island was so friendly. North Captiva-see you next year! Everyone should experience this island life- it truly was the best

  Thank you for the amazing stay in your beautiful home. Jack and Andy loved the pool and most of all the boat so close our home. We love this island and have many fun family memories. Good luck with your Country Club of the North development. It was fund learning about the construction on the Island.

This island, the house, the pool was everything we needed for a complete break and rest from our busy lives and has us stop and recharge our batteries We really hope to be back again soon and we’ll spread the word to our friends back in the UK and Finland.   We all want to thank you so much for allowing us to stay at your spectacular house! This house made this trip very special. The pool was amazing! The sun roof was perfect and all the bedrooms were wonderful. Thank you also for the bikes and the two golf carts. The whole family truly enjoyed this trip so we greatly thank you for letting us stay in the wonderous Rum Cove! Thank you!

  Thank you for letting us stay in your beautiful house for a week! The location is great! Everyone enjoyed the pool, and how clean the whold house was. It was great to meet you! Thank for the new bikes, chairs and fishing poles. You helped to make this trip very memorable. The island is very beautiful. Had a blast riding around in the golf carts!   We've had a wonderful week in your beautiful house on your fantastic island. We have loved all it has to offer and kayaking with the wild dolphins was my dream come true! Thank you for all your help, kindness and generaoisty - especially with the fishing. Hope to see you again!

  We loved it! We spent a week at Rum Cove along with another family (4 adults and 5 small children). The house has plenty of space and the kids loved the pool. The house is also very clean and well-managed. The owners also live on the island and were very helpful. Two great features about this house: 1) pool is larger than other private pools on the island (some are tiny); and 2) one of the few houses where you can dock your boat at the house (many have slips, but they are at the island club). We highly recommend it for a North Captiva getaway!

  Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

  I can't say enough good things about this lovely property. The house has beautiful decorator furnishings, high quality linens and nice touches throughout. The kitchen is very well appointed with new appliances. We cooked several meals for our whole group without a problem. We came for a family renunion and felt the setting met the requirements of everyone from grandparents to grandkids. The pool was a favorite! Also the location can't be beat. It is a short walk to the North Captiva Island Club and a short boat ride or golf cart ride anywhere else you would want to go. The owners are increbily nice and everyone we interacted with was super helpful. Truly a great experience. I can't wait to go back!

  This was our first trip to North Captiva. I was a little wary of going there, because I thought my teen age boys would get bored. This luckily wasn't the case. Our first contact was with Sarah, who assured us we would love the island and this house. She gave us a list of things to do, including grocery pre-ordering, and everything went smoothly. She was great answering all of my endless questions! We used Pine Island Taxi to get to the Island Club Ferry, after stopping to pick up our groceries for the week. When we arrived at the island, we were met by Vicki who had our golf cart waiting for us. Our bags arrived at the house very quickly, including all of our groceries. I don't know how they keep it organized, but we had no problems! The house was spectacular. It was well furnished, and extremely clean. The location was perfect. Everything looked new and well cared for. The pool was great, too. The island was so incredibly beautiful and peaceful. The beach was easy to walk to, but we usually drove the golf cart. It was never crowded. We went fishing with Bo Johnson one afternoon. It was a bit of a slow fishing day, but none of that mattered when my 11 year old pulled in a 5 foot black tip shark! It was incredible. Bo was awesome. Great guy. We rented paddle boards one day, too. That was a lot of fun, especially when the dolphins swam around us near the airstrip beach. Needless to say, our kids were never bored. I don't have one negative thing to say about our trip, the house, or the island. I hope we make this a yearly tradition.
