This cabin has it all: Two Bedrooms, Two full baths, hot tub on covered deck, gas log fireplace, fully equipped kitchen. We enjoyed our stay with the family. We spent the entire first day just enjoying the cabin, playing games, and spending sundown in the hot tub. Convenient to both Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg...right in the middle. Remember to bring laundry detergent but otherwise this place has it covered.Recommended for: Girls getaway, sightseeing, adventure seekers.

This was our first trip to Gatlinburg and we wanted to experience staying in a cabin up in the mountains. Are We Bear Yet was perfect for our family. The cabin was clean, well stocked, and in great condition. My family enjoyed the pool table and hot tub. The best part is the location of the cabin. It sits on a cul-de-sac in a private neighborhood and is ideally situated between downtown Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. It was easy to hit both places in the same day even with traffic. It felt great heading back to cabin to a enjoy a quiet and peaceful night after a day of sight-seeing. The owners were very accommodating, helpful, and a pleasure to deal with. We would definitely consider staying here again.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, adventure seekers.
Owner response: Thanks Rommel. It was a pleasure having you and your family in our cabin. So glad y'all had a great time and made great memories. I was really happy to hear that your boy got to experience snow for the first time. Be sure to look me up again when y'all come back.

We could not have asked for a more cozy, private cabin to escape to. We were welcomed by beautiful Christmas decor and the fireplace made the cabin warm and inviting. We were close to everything pigon forge has to offer as well as Gatlinburg. And surprised to find they still had all their Christmas lights up all over town. We had plenty of great shopping and dinning to choose from. We found the cabin to be very clean and equipped with everything we needed. The pool table and hot tub was an added bonus as we enjoyed watching it snow. We would recomend this cabin to couples or families. And are looking forward to July when we take our kids this summer. It quickly became our first choice for a fun summer get away with the kids. Thanks for sharing your home with us. Cant wait to go back.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.
Owner response: Thanks for your kind words. So glad y'all had a great time. Glad to hear you are planning to return this summer.

We enjoyed our recent weekend stay at "Are We Bear Yet"! It was clean, comfortable, and convenient to both Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge -- just as pictured / described. Without a doubt, the hot tub was our favorite feature! We had issues with the keyless entry upon arrival and some smoke detectors that needed new batteries, but the owner was readily available by phone and neither turned out to be a major problem. We cooked a handful of meals at the cabin and appreciated finding nearly everything we needed at our fingertips. We did have trouble locating a cutting board and wished that there were more covered dishes / containers for leftovers, but next time we'll know to bring along some plastic wrap. The couch previously mentioned in reviews appears to have been replaced with a new sleep sofa. Overall, a good cabin and a great first VRBO experience for us!Owner response: Thanks for your kind words. Glad y'all had a great time. Sorry about the door keypad. Just needed new batteries. Glad we have a backup key. Same thing with smoke alarms just replaced whole alarms. As for a cutting board just never thought about it. Will be sure to stock one. Always glad to hear what we need to make our cabin a better place for our guests. Please consider our cabin again when you plan your next trip. Thanks again.

The cabin was exactly as described.. Very neat and clean with all the things to make it feel like a home away from home.. We enjoyed our stay and plan to use again in the future.. The only negative feedback I have it the couch is very uncomfortable and worn out and a couple of the stove eyes seem to have a short or bad connection.. They kept turning on and off while cooking.. But it served its purpose and got the job done.. I seen in the last review that a couch was ordered and is on back order.. We loved the location of the cabin, it was on a wonderful secluded hill with a great view from the hot tub.. ALL and ALL it was wonderful and we all were very happy with the choice..Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway.
Owner response: Thanks for your kind words. Glad y'all had a good time. Having my maintenance guy check the stove burners. Sorry about sofa. It should have been here before Christmas. Just purchased one today that is in stock and will be delivered this Monday, Jan. 14th. Hope y'all will come and stay with us again.

We had a wonderful time staying in this cabin. It was immaculately clean and very tastefully decorated for Christmas. It is located in a beautiful neighborhood not far from all the major tourist check points of Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. Our GPS found the place without any problems. We lost electricity once due to the storm but it was restored within 40 minutes. The owner of the property is very helpful and easy to get in touch with whenever there is a problem. The only MINOR drawbacks I can think of are: shape of the couch in the living room, no closet space in the guest bedroom, and no kettle in the kitchen. But if you are on vacation, you don't pay attention to these. I highly recommend this property to anyone who would like to spend some time in this wonderful part of the country.Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.
Owner response: Thanks for your kind words. Glad y'all had a great time. We had a new sofa ordered but is on back order. Will be there soon. I never even thought about a kettle but we will put one there as soon as we can. Hope y'all will come and stay in our home again. Hope you made some great memories.

Cabin was ideally located between Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. We were able to experience both cities without lengthy travel times. Was close to a number of attractions, such as, Smoky Mountain National Park, Tanger Outlet Mall, Hatfield and McCoy dinner show, Smoky Mountain Opry and many more. The cabin was impressive. The smell of pine was abundant as soon as you step in. It had all the conveniences of home, yet tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The driveway had ample space to park, unlike other cabins in the area. I would recommend this cabin to friends and family.Recommended for: Girls getaway, sightseeing, romantic getaway.
Owner response: Thanks so much for your kind words. Glad y'all had a great time. Please keep us in mind for your return trip to the area. We're always happy when someone enjoys our home as much as we do.

This place is very nice & is in a great location! My only complaints are that the couch needs to be replaced. It was worn out & sunk in at the middle. And there is no closet in the guest room for the guests to use. It was fine for the couple of days that we stayed but if we were to have stayed longer it would be nice to have a closet for storage. But overall, this place was great & we really enjoyed our stay!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway.
Owner response: Thanks for your kind words. We recently fix sleeper sofa. It just takes one kid jumping on it to mess it up. My wife and I are going up in a couple of weeks and are going to replace with a new sleeper sofa. Hope we can accommodate your family again. As for he closet upstairs we needed an owners closet but there is a nice size dresser to use. Thanks again.

We went on Fall break with our girls and really enjoyed "Are We Bear Yet". It was a very clean and well maintained property, as described. The owners were very quick to communicate and renting was a breeze. The kids got in the jacuzzi, but the temperature was a little cold for them. We enjoyed our late night games of pool and appreciated that there were three TVs, each have a DVD player, too.The drive up the mountain made us a little nervous, but it is a very relaxing place once you get there. While we were there, husband enjoyed the Sevierville Golf Club, the family enjoyed Ober Gatlinburg, we shopped at the Outlet Stores, and enjoyed meals at the Apple Barn, J.T. Hannah's, Smoky Mountain Brewery, and Mellow Mushroom in Gatlinburg. I have already recommended this property to a friend and hope we can return sometime, too!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway.
Owner response: Thanks for your kind words. Glad y'all had a great time. Let me know if we can accommodate y'all again.

Owner info
Year Purchased: 2008
About the owner: My wife and I and our two boys. We love our cabin in the Smokeys.
Why the Owner Chose Sky Harbor:
For a few years we rented cabins in the Gatinburg/ Pigeon Forge area. We always went with some rental company and paid a lot. A couple of years ago we decided to buy one because we were going up so much and we are only 3 hours away. We just hope someone will enjoy our cabin and save some money on their stay as well. So much cheaper through VRBO
The Unique Benefits at this Cabin:
We love the location of our cabin. It is in between Gatinburg and Pigeon Forge. 5-10 minutes to either one but is secluded up in the wonderful smokey mountains. Our family always get season passes to Dollywood and Dolly's Splash Country. Our boys love both places. We also enjoy the wonderful Smokey Mountain National Park. We take picnics and play on the rocks in the river. There is also so many good places to eat up there. We love the Chop House at the Tanger Outlets and also enjoy the shopping there. We have made so many great memories at our cabin. Always great at Christmas too.
