This condo is a safe walk to many of Austin’s favorites…including Z-Tejas, Whole Foods, Book People, Amy’s Ice Cream, Waterloo Records, Starbucks, Sweetish Hill Bakery, the Warehouse District, Lady Bird Lake, Auditorium Shores, Zilker Park, Antone's, La Zona Rosa, Austin Music Hall, the 6th Street entertainment district, the Second Street shopping district, Jeffrey's, Aquarelle, and many other restaurants.

No Loud music/parties. This is a residential area, so please be respectful of the neighbors. There are plenty of bars within walking distance in which you can cut loose if you like.
I, VRBO Bear, arrived tired from a long flight into Austin and was thrilled to find this hip, modern condo with such comfy beds waiting for me– even the sofa bed was comfy – Nice! I choose my own entry code for the front door security, so that was easy. There was a personal note from Trey and Brandy on the kitchen bar welcoming me. I felt like a celebrity – and I guess I sort of am. Awakening refreshed, I found everything I needed to start my day, from a large shower and fluffy towels to a coffee maker with filters to a fabulous bakery only a block away.
The location is ideal for experiencing Austin’s vibrant downtown. Though I had a car, I didn’t use it. I was able to walk and pedi-cab – now that’s a cool way to get around – everywhere I wanted to go. With such a nicely equipped kitchen, my friends and I stopped at Whole Foods for fresh grouper, greens, and fingerling potatoes that we prepared ourselves. Then it was a 10-minute pedi-cab ride to Austin City Limits for some live music – Austin style. We relaxed back at the condo on the upper balcony, facing the lights of downtown, with a glass of wine (I’m older than I look), and it was magical. The next day, I discovered a “Pecan Street” festival in downtown. We saw great art, ate at amazing food trailers, heard live music, of course, and took a stroll around Lady Bird Johnson Lake. That night we choose a restaurant from the list provided by our hosts, and took in the Austin Ballet performance of Firebird! In a word, Spectacular!
Sunday, we all slept in – comfy beds, remember? Even though we were staying downtown, it was so quiet in that condo! It was hard to leave because we had hardly begun to visit all the fun places within walking distance, but we will be back! Thanks for making a great time so easy … VRBO BEAR

Why the Owner Chose Downtown: This is trendy side of 6th Street and downtown. This location is next to some of Austin's best restaurants. When we decide not to eat out, we walk over to Whole Foods to grab some of the prepared offerings (talk about choices). We love being able to walk to some of Austin's best live music venues to watch some great local or touring bands. During the day we frequently walk or bike to the Lady Bird Lake hike and bike trail or to Zilker Park for a fun picnic. This location truly has it all.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo: The condo is as close to West 6th as you can get. It is more than twice the size of most hotel rooms. With all the huge trees around and the many decks and patios, you have a feeling that you are staying in a modern urban treehouse. We take pride in keeping the unit clean for our enjoyment as well as the tenants. We are more than happy to make recommendations on what to do or where to eat in downtown Austin.
