Welcome to 'Casitas Oceano'! Our home is a charming two bedroom, two bath, recently remodeled with a modern Santa Barbara beach motif, new hard wood floors and brand new beds. Great ocean and Island view from deck/balcony. Great teak table outside for outdoor dinning and massage table to relax and ease tense muscles.
Being a pet owner myself I noticed it was often tough to find quality vacation rentals that would allow my dog and me to stay. My dog Aldo is a big part of my family so I encourage everyone to bring the pets - All pets are welcome! (Pet fee or deposit may apply for larger breeds)
Just three blocks from Shoreline Park which offers amazing beach bluff walks from a hundred feet up over rocky natural Santa Barbara beaches, a hop skip and a jump away from Leadbetter beach, SBCC, the SB Harbor, Stern's Wharf and more. The Santa Barbara Harbor features great restaurants and water fun (kayak rentals, sea dew boat rentals...).
If there is anything you wish out of your trip please inquire and we can help out with plans or make some recommendations.

As a former UCSB student,I always enjoy coming back to visit Santa Barbara. My wife and I stayed here for a weekend trip with two other couples. We got really lucky with the weather- rained right up to the moment we arrived but the clouds gave way and we enjoyed two days of clear skies. I have to agree with the other reviewers. The home is in great location. Just a short drive or cab ride downtown and you can't beat the proximity to the beach. The home was comfortable, clean, and perfect for relaxing. We are thinking of making this an annual trip.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, tourists without a car, girls getaway, families with young children, families with teenagers, age 55+.

Recently stayed here for a Santa Barbara weekend get away with friends. We drove up from LA on Friday and were thrilled when we we arrived at the house. Fantastic location!- close to the beach, downtown restaurants, shopping, entertainment and a only short drive to the beautiful wineries of solvang/Santa ynez. If you're planning a weekend trip with friends don't waste money on hotel rooms. It was so nice to retreat back this home after enjoying a day in the Santa Barbara sun. Had a fantastic stay and hope to return soon.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, tourists without a car, girls getaway, families with young children, age 55+, sightseeing.

My friends and i rented the owners house which had a big patio and hot tub in the back. Great space for eating out side and lounging in the hot tube. The inside of the house was cozy and sleeps six perfectly. I would recommend this to everyone i know wanting to stay in Santa Barbara.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, tourists without a car, pet owners, girls getaway, families with young children, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, age 55+, sightseeing.

Lots of things to do in this wonderful area on the California coast. With the house having such a close proximity to the beach and downtown areas, there was a plethora of activities to choose from. Our group even decided to go wine tasting up in the Santa Ynez/ Solvang which is only 45 minutes away. The Santa Barbara film festival happened to be going on at the same time as our visit which was a pleasant surprise. There were lots of red carpet events and festive decorations. This made reservations a little more difficult but we were able to find plenty of great places to go. Overall good experience and would recommend it to others.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, tourists without a car, pet owners, girls getaway, adventure seekers, sightseeing.

We stayed for 7 days in this two-bedroom, two-bath property with a phenomenal view of the Pacific Ocean and Santa Barbara Channel. The property has been recently updated and boasts all the features we could have asked for. Many small details such as coffee presses, new, clean & plush towels, great TV/DVD/technology capabilities, and a nicely decorated veranda. Once we got our bearings in Santa Barbara, we found we were actually fairly centrally located to State Street and the beach--just a walk through the Santa Barbara City College campus (very clean and safe). Rory, the landlord, is very hospitable and nice to deal with. We hope to return soon.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, tourists without a car, pet owners, girls getaway, families with young children, families with teenagers, sightseeing.

About the owner: UCSB Alumni working in the Solar Energy field. I enjoy the outdoors and the simple fine things in life. A nice glass of wine, BBQ and a trip to the beach is mostly all I need.
Why the Owner Chose The Mesa (Beach Area):
The Mesa area of Santa Barbara offers everything you could want from a California Beach town; its close to parks, the beach great restaurants/shopping. The home itself is set up beautifully and you will be much happier and more comfortable staying here than anywhere else in town - it's very centrally located to down town, lower State Street and Stern's Wharf and still close to the beach. (Also directly next to Santa Barbara City College)
The Unique Benefits at this House:
3 blocks from the beach; Ocean and Island Views. Huge orange tree shold be taken advantage of (juicer included in rentaI) & we have a small chicken coop for fresh eggs in the morning (completely hidden, well kept and no loud roosters - hens only), plenty of off street parking, 1 block from Santa Barbara City College and access to beaches, bike path's, jogging, mountain climbing, rock climbing, leisurely hikes. Basically everything in life that I enjoy I have right here.
