Enjoy the splendor of nature in beautiful Door County. Our hand-hewn log home was crafted by local tradesmen using hardwoods from the area in which the home is located. We're sure you'll agree, this comfortable home is truly a work of art.
Upon entering the cabin, the first thing you'll note is the soaring fieldstone fireplace reaching up to the vaulted ceiling. A fully-equipped modern kitchen opens to a finely furnished dining room, mirrored on the hearth's other side by the warm, spacious great room. The main level also houses one of the full bathrooms and two of the bedrooms, each with queen size beds.
The upper floor master bedroom loft has its own sitting area, complete with gorgeous woodland views, and a large en-suite bath.
The lower level of the cabin houses the TV/family room, (with wood-burning stove,) and another twin-bedded sleeping room.
Set on 4.5 beautifully wooded acres ,this special home provides escape and sanctuary in peaceful surroundings, but is within minutes of dozens of activities. If you're a golfer, boater, hiker, photographer, skiier, or cyclist, there is simply no better place to be! Fine dining, art galleries, live theater, wineries, and day spas are also just minutes away.
But you don't have to leave Birch Lane to enjoy special times. The firepit provides the perfect setting for telling stories, playing guitar, and making smores. And in the winter, there simply isn't anything that can warm your spirit like sipping hot chocolate in front of a crackling fire while the snow falls gently outside.

Year Purchased: 2002
About the owner: We are a family from the Chicago area who discovered the wonders of Door County in the 1980s. Every summer we made sure to spend at least one week together on the shores of Green Bay. It was always our dream to own a home here, and in 2002, while on a bike ride through Birch Lane, we found this home and realized our dream. We have experienced many milestones here, including the wedding of our oldest son, and we look forward to celebrating many more as our family grows.
Why the Owner Chose Egg Harbor:
Door County is our favorite place in the world, and being in Egg Harbor affords us easy access to the entire Peninsula. The natural beauty and peaceful setting of Birch Lane cannot be beat; we are tucked away in the woods but just minutes from town. Sturgeon Bay is also just 12 miles south of us, and we appreciate the convenience of being close to 'the city'--especially in the off season.
The Unique Benefits at this Cabin:
It's hard to explain the feeling you get the minute you walk into our cabin. It is cozy, warm, and completely welcoming. It is beautifully appointed, yet very family friendly. It's the perfect place for a family reunion, but it's also the ideal place if you're seeking to relax in solitude. No matter how you choose to spend your time here, it will be unforgettable because the setting is nothing short of magical.
