  My family thoroughly enjoyed the stay at the condo. The description & photos were spot on. The condo and grounds were clean. There owner was friendly and very responsive to questions regarding the rental.

  This unit is very tastefully decorated and was clean and organized. Felt we very much got our money's worth on this rental. There were sufficient dishes, paper goods, and even shampoo and body wash. Beds were comfy. Bunk beds would be a tight squeeze for adults but the kids loved them and preferred them over regular beds. Liked the location, in a less-busy section of Seawall Blvd. You do have to drive a short distance to a sandy beach, but wasn't a problem. Kids (and adults) loved the Go Kart track and Mini Golf courses that were very near this condo complex, and it is close to Moody Gardens with lots to do. The exterior of the property wasn't super-impressive (not brand new), there were some rusty railings, etc but most likely due to harsh sea/salt air rather than lack of maintenance. Pool area is nice, but be aware it is not heated. Will be great in summertime. Other reviews of this property warned about the construction on the neighboring property but that was complete by the time of our stay and was not a problem. Owner was nice and was very responsive to questions during our stay. Overall, very nice stay.

  The condo itself was very nice, tastefully decorated, well equipped and comfortable. However, the construction immediately next door killed the view (can see part of the pool but only a sliver of the ocean) toward the ocean and was very noisy. The first night they poured concrete at 3 am and kept us up, very loud. The next two days they started at 6 am. There is no beach within walking distance, but a couple of smaller ones a few mile away which were not very clean. For beach goers, the several miles back to the main tourist area near the large hotels was necessary. The buidling was full and people were very nice. Pools were clean and nice, grounds well kept. $10 parking fee should be included in rent.

  Owner response: $10 can't be included in the rent because that is how Security keeps track of cars and renters so would defeat the purpose. However, price of condo takes the $10 in to account and is cheaper than most of the condos. Construction is over as of March 1, 2013!!! Pictures updated to reflect view etc.. Thank you

  We had a great stay at your wonderful condo was everything we expected everyone was very friendly and even though there was construction going on it was really not that bothersome. We really enjoyed the new Pleasure Pier I really recommend going to visit there.We also enjoyed the pools at the condo the large pool was closed the first 2 days but did open before we left and it was very nice I would definately stay again in the future Thank you so much for opening your home to us.

  I just recently stayed in this condo. I appreciated the great floor plan that gave everyone their own space as well as bed to sleep in. The condo was very clean as well as well equipped. I shopped around before choosing this condo and was satisfied with the cost. The owner responded quickly to any of my emails and made sure that everything was okay. The only downfall was that we woke up to construction from the condos that were being built next to us. But this was not in the control of the owner. So I cannot really say anything negative about this property or the owner. I would consider renting this condo again in the future. Hopefully for a whole week next time.

  Condo was very cute and well kept. Was a good size for our family of 7, though I think it would be more accurate to state it sleeps 7 vs 8 as not even my 7 yr old could comfortably sleep in the top bunk. Location was good - close to all the area attractions, which was very convenient without being in the middle of the congested areas on the seawall. The only negative was the construction going on next door to the complex. Work began promptly at 7:00am daily, so there was no sleeping in while on vacation, which was a definite drawback. I would recommend this unit, but only after the construction is complete.

  Recommended for: Families with young children.

  Owner response: Yes, not much head room!!! We are replacing the expensive twin bed - 10 inches on the top bunk with a cheaper one- that 10 inch mattress is too high or we are going to drop both bunks!!! Top bunk mattress was replaced Feb 2013 as it was 8 inches -regular twin bed mattress but not much room.Now 6 inches and a new high tech memory foam mattress and more head room!

  The inside of this condo is very nice: great beds, clean bathrooms, lovely patio. The pools are great and the landscaping is beautiful. The owners were helpful in providing information upon request, and appreciated knowing that repairs to the tub area were needed. The location is nice - it's out of the way but not so much you feel "far away" from everything. The area is established and clean. Sadly for the owners, however, is that their view has been obliterated by construction that removes most of their oceanfront view. The construction and associated noise is annoying in itself, but even when that's completed, there will be very little view left. I don't think they realized that when it was rented to us, but they are now aware. The pictures don't show this new scenery. If you're looking at the current pics, the construction project faces the windows and is just on the other side of the pool area. It will probably be heard at 6:30 am for the remainder of the summer. This is all most unfortunate for the owners, and out of their control, but I would have liked full disclosure before renting this property. Also, the TV in the master only gets one channel. It's pretty much useless. The group of condos, Maravilla, is not in the best overall repair. There is lots of rusting and wear in the lower areas and the elevators can be a little scary. However, it's well lit and the other tenants/renters were very friendly and respectful. Additionally, there is a fee to park each vehicle. They will tow your car if you don't display the parking pass and you park in the covered areas. Overall, I still contend that this was a "good" experience. You can tell the owners really went out of their way to make it nice and comfortable. There is sufficient soap, shampoo, paper towels, etc. in the unit. The inside of the condo is exactly as represented and my family of 5 really enjoyed it!

  Great condo!! You certainly won't go wrong by choosing this property! Unit #404345 was exactly as pictured. Clean, spacious, comfortable and the decor just beautiful. So relaxing to sit on the large deck watching the sunrise and sunset. The pool complex is incredible and the grounds are meticulously maintained. Unbelievable place to spend the days relaxing. The kids loved it, especially the huge pool and Pleasure Pier. Not far at all from the downtown area and all the restaurants and sites. If this is your first time booking a condo, as it was for me, the owners are fabulous to deal with. I will recommend this condo to all of my friend that are visiting Galveston! Thank you for sharing your awesome condo with us! We will be back!
