We are pleased to offer for vacation rental, our beautiful, spacious 3 bedroom, 3 bath, single level 2200 sqft house located in a very special area in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida just steps away from the beach. While close to the amenities of shopping and numerous restaurants, this particular location is very serene and uncrowded.
The house has three bedrooms (1 King, 1 Queen, 2 sets of bunk beds), three full baths, large kitchen and eating area, two separate large living rooms and is configured to comfortably support a large family, two moderate size families or a small family that likes to have plenty of living space. Our house is located one lot back from the Gulf of Mexico on the Gulf side of 30A and has deeded 25 ft wide private beach access (no streets to cross, no searching or wondering about how to get to the beach). We are 150 feet to the beach! In addition, for those liking to walk or bike, our house is located on the 30A 18 mile long bike and walking path which winds through the various beach communities of South Walton County.
Outside, there is a 20x12 beach side deck with a pergola and beautiful view of the Gulf. After a fun day at the beach, wash away the sand and salt in the fully enclosed outdoor hot/cold shower, then grill a delicious dinner on the outside Weber Genesis gas grill.
Inside, the north end of the house has a master bedroom with a queen bed, TV and full bath. At the south end of the house is a second master bedroom with a king bed, TV and full bath. The third bedroom is in the middle of the house and has two sets of bunkbeds, a TV and full bath. Linens are provided. The house has two living rooms, both with TV's (one with a 51 inch flatscreen TV) which is nice if guests want to watch different programs. The house has a full size washer and dryer, 80 gal hot water heater and the typical conveniences of home including microwave, dishwasher, coffee pot, toaster, blender, and Wi-Fi internet. There is also a seafood steaming pot and fish grill pan for your enjoyment. The kitchen contains ample counter space, storage and a breakfast bar. If you are like us when vacationing, you bring lots of gear on vacations such as coolers, fishing rods, beach chairs, etc. The house has a large open foyer, a guest closet and alcove that are perfect for storing gear so that it is not in the way.
Our home was remodeled in 2012. We take great pride in our home and personally do regular maintenance, both cosmetic and functional, in order to ensure the house looks and stays in great condition for ourselves and our guests.
Within Santa Rosa Beach, this beach house is located in a very special area, called Beach Highlands, and is nestled between Dune Allen Beach and Topsail Hill State Preserve. Even though Santa Rosa Beach and the general area has grown in population and amenities, this location remains uncrowded, much as it was in the 1970s. There are no high rise buildings and to our west are only single family homes followed by 4 miles of undisturbed beachfront state park reserve. So if you are looking to relax and enjoy the pristine beauty and sea life without the crowds, yet be close to the amenities, this is the place.
Our home is only 3 miles to a Walmart, 4 miles to Publix, a brand new Starbucks, a movie theatre and the local hospital. We are near upscale shopping and a wide variety of restaurants, including short walking distance to popular Stinky's Fish Camp Restaurant (great dining despite its name). Why the Owner Chose Dune Allen Beach: We (brothers Joe and Bill Letsinger) have been vacationing at this beautiful location in the Beach Highlands area of Santa Rosa Beach, Florida since we were very small (1970). At that time there really wasn't much around except for the natural beauty, fun and relaxation offered by the white sand and emerald waters of the Gulf of Mexico. We both love to fish and have certainly done a lot of it off of the beach and deep sea fishing out of Destin over the years. In 1986, our mom bought this house, and our family moved to the area from Indiana. Joe and his family continue to reside in the area. Bill, after moving north for school and work for many years, has returned to the South so that he and his family could enjoy this truly special location and the incredible fishing and diversity that it offers. We take great pride in our family home and work hard to ensure that our guests enjoy our home and the beauty of this special area.
