Centrally situated in Mount Pleasant/Riley Park near Main Street, this welcoming one-bedroom garden house offers privacy, quiet and convenience. The free standing building features large floor-to-ceiling living room windows that look out onto beautifully maintained landscaping while providing lots of south-facing light to this bright, airy space. A fountain splashes clear water into a 3 foot deep pond that stretches across the front of the house; a cedar plank sitting deck acts as a bridge to the entrance way. The contemporary and open-concept design creates a flow from one room to the next. Guests have their own entrance as well as private parking right beside the Garden house. Additionally, there is ample free street parking in front of the property and in our quiet and safe residential neighbourhood.
What You Will Find Inside: The suite is immaculate and a recent renovation has been to the same high standards as the original construction. Included is a queen-sized bed, large closets, a bathroom with tiled walk-in shower, a 34” flat screen cable HD TV with DVD player, high speed wireless internet, queen-sized pull-out sectional sofa, a dining table for up to 6 guests and a fully equipped kitchen with new appliances (full sized refrigerator and dishwasher, drip coffee maker, automatic espresso machine, microwave, electric range, etc). To help you prepare your own gourmet meal, we keep a good selection of herbs and oils on hand for your use. Fresh herbs can be picked from the garden when they are in season. All serving and preparation utensils, dishes and cookware are provided.
The laundry room offers a new (2011) full sized Samsung washer and dryer with complimentary detergent.
What You Will Find in the Neighbourhood: The Garden House is only 2.5 blocks from the charming shops and cafes on trendy Main Street. Granville Island is a 11 minute drive, the City Centre and Gastown takes 9 minutes and nearby Queen Elizabeth Park, which offers some of the most beautiful public gardens in Vancouver, is only 7 minutes away. To the city centre (Georgia & Howe) by transit is a 20 minute ride. If you are driving, the same 20 minutes will get you to Stanley Park and the Seawall or if you prefer, Jericho Beach.
Business Features: Several features are available for business travelers: a separate desk with drawers unit and ergonomic seating, a wireless printer/copier/scanner (paper included), a (local calls only) phone and of course, high speed wireless internet.
The bedroom sleeps two and the living room sofa sleeps an additional two.The bedroom has an opening window, a phone, an alarm clock/radio, carpets and a large closet that runs across the wall opposite the bed. End tables on either side of the bed feature reading lights. The bedroom has it's own adjustable heater. The bathroom has a walk-in shower, dual-flush toilet, vanity with sink and it's own separate heater.
