Welcome to a place that is special to our family, and we invite your family to enjoy it as much as we have. It's all about creating memories, and this south west corner of Lake Martin(Little Kowliga Creek area) is picturesque and a great way to slow down and get away from it all.
Enjoy the great swimming area just off the pier or fish the back sloughs for many species of bass, black crappie, and catfish. Plenty of lake area on this end of the lake for skiing, tubing or a slow sunset cruise. Put in at the Little Kowliga boat ramp just minutes away. Once you get off the major highways, it is a beautiful drive from all major cities: 95 miles to Birmingham, 35 miles, to Montgomery, 45 miles to Auburn, and 22 miles to Alexander City.
The elevated deck at the front door provides a broad view of the lake which is just 15 feet from the bottom stairs. The open great room has a 30 foot wall of windows with additional lake views. The master suite has and king bed and bathroom is spacious with double sinks and separate shower and jacuzzi tub with custom tile. A private, screened porch is just of the master suite and a great place for quiet morning coffee.
There is a bedroom off the kitchen perfect for kids with a daybed and pull out trundle. One bedroom with double bed has a half bath attached. The other bedroom with queen bed is connected to second bathroom that has a stand up shower. This bathroom also has access from a hallway. One of the two large couches folds out to a queen bed.
Once a reservation is confirmed, a rental agreement will be sent electronically for signature and electronic payment. No reservation is confirmed until agreed payment is received. Let us know if you need more than one payment. We want your family and friends to have a great experience while rejuvinating at this special place.
Rental Terms:
Outside smoking and outside pets (crated inside) allowed. Does not mean we want butts left around. $5/butt deducted from deposit. Balance of rental fee due 14 days prior to arrival date. Security deposit $300 (includes pet).
Check in is 3:00pm and checkout is 11:00am.
Maximum Occupancy is 10 persons. These statements as well are binding inclusive or signed agreement.
Last minute travel...occupy within 7 days of booking for special discount.

We had a great time at Jody's place, our family from Ohio went to be with our youngest daughter, husband and their 2 week old baby boy, who live in Montgomery. It was close enough for them to bring the baby and come spend a few days with us for the holiday. The house was great, had plenty of room for all of us and kitchen for fixing our Thanksgiving dinner. The owner was great and took good care of us and our needs. We hope to be able to do this again, maybe in the summer , even though the weather was great even in November.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers.

We had a wonderful time Labor Day weekend! Your place was very convenient to the boat ramp and stores. The accommodations were perfect for children, teenagers and adults! I really enjoyed my stay at Jody's Place. The house was spacious, nicely furnished, and well maintained. The listing photos do not show just how lovely the house is. Loved the wall of windows in the family room with a great view of the lake. The pier complete with tiki hut and floating dock was great for boating and watching the sunset. The owners were very accessible and responded quickly each time I contacted them. I would recommend this rental to anyone looking for a peaceful, quiet getaway or any group looking for a great gathering place.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, families with young children, girls getaway.

Jody's Place was perfect for our family! The house is very nice...clean and well-maintained. The kitchen, great room, and dining room are open with a beautiful view of the lake. We were impressed with the amenities in the kitchen, and the dock and tiki hut were perfect for our boat and wave-runner. The owner was very helpful in answering any questions that I had, and he gave excellent directions from Atlanta and from Montgomery. I have already recommended Jody's Place to other family members, and my children want to return for another weekend next summer. What a GREAT place to stay. Jody's place is everything it is advertised to be and so much more. We had a large group and the house gave us plenty of room to spread out and not feel cramped at all. The kitchen is perfect. It is appropriately appointed and two refrigerators give ample space for groceries for a week or more. The location is amazing. It is close to both a marina and a gas station, so fuel for the water sports was easy. We brought two Jet Skis and a Ski Boat and had plenty of docking space and swimming area. This is our second year vacationing on Lake Martin and without a doubt; our next trip will be back to Jody's place. Thanks so much C & LB for sharing your slice of paradise with us.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

Everything was exactly as advertised. We will rent again. I knew about the location on the lake which really helped. 5 minutes by boat from a marina and 15 minutes by boat to Sinclair's. Great spot!!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, families with young children, girls getaway.

My buddies and I were looking for a relaxing weekend (sans wives) on a lake and found this one. It was reasonably priced and the owners were very accommodating. It was plenty roomy and amazingly quiet (except for us). The deck, pier, and floating dock are great places to relax and drown a worm or two. We thought it would be "rustic", but is nice inside, had satellite, a big screen, a stereo, lots of seating, and plenty of beds and bathrooms. We all had a blast!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

About the owner: I am on staff at an area church in Wetumpka, Alabama. I am married with three young children. My house is busy! This house is a part of the estate/trust of my older brother. I am honored to be able to manage this property for the benefit of my brother's children. My brother purchased a 2 bedroom cabin and did major expansions of master suite, kitchen and office, den, and deck to make his dream home. He enjoyed it for 10 years and always loved the lake and water in general.

I have to say the pier is the best place to gather at the end of the day. You can still soak up some last rays or take cover under tiki hut and still be social.
