Our stay in this home was absolutely as good as we could have imagined! The natural beauty of Colorado could be seen from every window. Although the photos in the listing are good, they can't compare to the real beauty we enjoyed there. We especially enjoyed the deck off the main level. The weather could not have been any better for our stay. The highs were in the mid 70s during the day and low 50s at night. And it was late JULY!!! The inside of the home was very well laid out and immaculately clean. It is fully stocked with everything you need. The three levels of the home provide plenty of room for everyone to stretch out and play together or find a quiet spot to enjoy alone. Our family highly recommends this home to any family or larger group that would like to be within an hour of the big tourist attractions of the Colorado Springs area, but would also love the peaceful solitude offered by this home's setting. This home will be one we will return to next time we make it to Colorado.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

This home was absolutely the perfect set-up for my family. The three-level home provides privacy for all with plenty of room to stretch out, and lots of room for play! It is very well stocked with everything you could possibly imagine needing. We were also very pleased with the views around the home. The one piece of information that some may need, is that the driveway is very steep and a bit difficult to maneuver out of the garage and up the hill. It seemed to work best for us when we backed into the garage and could get a "running start" up the hill. We would highly recommend this home to anyone looking for a beautiful vacation home in a secluded area of Colorado!Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with teenagers.

Our family just returned from this gorgeous and secluded home in the mountains. It couldn't have been more perfect! It was so clean and very spacious. The wrap-around deck was the most popular spot for us. We spent a lot of time just soaking up God's creation that was so beautiful. The location was just perfect to drive to mountain lakes to go fishing or 4-wheeling in nearby trails. A night in Cripple Creek was also very enjoyable! You just can't go wrong staying at this place and the prices were very affordable. I would recommend it to anyone. We will be back next summer!Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

When we arrived at our beautiful get-away home I was immediately in awe. The views are breathtaking. The home is amazing. Everything is in perfect and in like new condition. It had everything you could ever need. We have vacationed at resorts in Florida, California, Arizona and Colorado, but I have never so hated to leave a place before as much as I hated to leave here. The beds are comfortable. With rooms and bathrooms on all 3 levels the floor plan is fun and roomy! And the HUGE Master bedroom loft, is simply wonderful. Then there is the Master Bath with the jetted Tub that has a Mountain side view. Ironically we were there during the terrible Waldo Canyon fire. But we would have never know it if we had not already know about the fire before we left. For us, who drove up from the Colorado Springs area, the home was just what we needed to get away from the smoke and fire we had been living with for 3 days already. I am happy to say that the air was crisp and clean. I personally got the best nights sleep that I had gotten in days. Things to do: Nothing and I mean that in a good way ;) We went up for the sole purpose of enjoying the mountains, so other than a stop at the grocery store on our way up, we did not even start our car again until it was time to leave. I want to note that I am surprised at how low the price is, so if you are thinking about staying here, you may want to book sooner than later, as they may realize that they could easily ask $100 more an night than what they are. In short, this is an amazing deal! But I suppose now that I have mentioned that here, the cat is out of the bag.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

This was a beautiful home and had scenic views of the mountains and canyon. Excellent amnenities, clean and well maintained. The property is somewhat isolated from other homes and if you want plenty of privacy - this is the one for you. One note is that it does not have air conditioning and normally this would not be a problem, but our stay was durng some very hot weather. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay very much - 6 adults and one teenager were comfortably accomadated. A car is necessary to drive to restaurants in Cripple Creek, grocery store in Woodland Park, and sightseeing. Would highly recommend this property.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

Double Eagle Hotel and Casino
"The historic town of Cripple Creek, Colorado sits on the southwest slopes of majestic Pikes Peak in the Colorado Rockies. More than 100 years ago this charming community attracted tens of thousands of gold-seekers to its hillsides in search of their fortunes. The gold mines are a part of Cripple Creeks colorful history, and today, visitors can choose from a wide variety of rich and wonderful experiences here including antique shopping, gambling at the small town casinos and visiting history packed museums. Try to catch a melodrama at the Butte Opera House!"

Florissant Fossil Beds
"Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument holds huge petrified redwoods and very detailed fossils of ancient insects and plants. Enormous volcanic eruptions now designated the Thirtynine Mile volcanic area buried the then-lush valley and petrified the redwood trees that grew there. A lake formed in the valley, and the fine-grained sediments at its bottom became the final resting-place for thousands of insects and plants. Also see the Pioneer House, showing how the original pioneers of the west lived. "

Woodland Park
"Called the "The City Above the Clouds," Woodland Park, at 8,465 feet (2,580 m) above sea level, often enjoys clear skies while weather in neighboring towns may be rainy or overcast. The city enjoys breathtaking views of Pikes Peak. Woodland Park offers easy access to shopping, hiking, climbing and fishing. Visiting the Dinosaur Museum is a fantastic way to spend an afternoon!"

Pikes Peak
"Towering 14,110 feet above Colorado Springs, this mountain serves as one of the nation's most famous landmarks. Access to the summit can be obtained via the Pike's Peak Cog Railway or by driving the Pikes Peak Highway which winds through stands of pine and aspen before cresting above treeline. Katherine Lee Bates was so moved by her visit to the summit that it inspired her to pen "America the Beautiful." Bring a jacket as the temperature is about 20 degrees cooler up top. Gotta try the homemade fudge at the Gift Shop!"
