  This room exceeded our hopes for a pre cruise place to stay. The fact that it was a corner gave fantastic views of the pool area the beach and the sunset. The restaurant in the hotel was wonderful. We had no car rental the walmart was under a mile away (the store there had some essential items a little pricey but not to bad) There was also another restaurant right next door so we were able to have other choices. The gym needed up dating the machines were old and broken and noisey. The staff was quite helpful. Also it was wonderful that they served poolside and on the beach. The bar and lunch area was very nice and on Friday they had live music. Just make sure to get up early and have Nathan put a couple chairs towels and umbrella out for you, if your too late you are out of luck. I would recommend this place to anyone.Great time had by all!!!! Thank you.

  My husband enjoyed our stay at Pelican Grand. The room has a gorgeous view of the Atlantic! We found the bedroom and bath to be plenty spacious for two, maybe even for a small child or two, if necessary. The room was very nice and clean. The staff at Pelican Grand were very helpful. I would rate overall our experience excellent except for a minor glitch when we tried to check in. We were not entered in the system, so technically speaking we had no reservation. I guess the property manager did not relay our reservation to the front desk at Pelican Grand. Luckily, everything did work out for us to stay. We highly recommend eating at Spazio's just a short drive from PG. We love Fort Lauderdale and would like to return someday!

  Negatives for me: the room seemed smaller then I expected. There were not enough towels to go around considering that you are on the beach and will probably want a few for that & then your shower. Doesn’t sleep 4, there is a king bed and small chair that folds out into a twin bed. 3 people at the most unless there will be more then 2 in the king size bed, this didn’t affect me as it was only 2 people but felt it needed to be said incase someone was wanting it for four people. The unit didn’t have a washer & dryer in the unit; it may have been in the hotel but not in the room. Positives for me: excellent views the pictures do not do this unit justice. Shower was large and I thought very handicapped assessable. I liked the set up in the bathroom. The room also appeared to be handicapped assessable with peepholes at the top and midway on the door. Room is very bright with views of the city, from balcony, and the beach. Blinds can be closed if you like it dark for sleeping. The veranda was perfect for listening to the wave’s crash, a glass of wine or early morning coffee. Has big rocking chairs & a few couches to relax. Close to the Ft. Lauderdale night life, restaurants & Walgreen’s. Balcony was large enough to fit at least 4 adults on it. Staff was extremely friendly. We choose to do valet parking and the attendants were very helpful, fast & friendly. The $28.00 fee has in & out privileges. Owner is prompt with responses and was very friendly & helpful. FYI our gps took us to the wrong area a few blocks down from where the hotel was located. I will definitely be back here the next time I am in ft. Lauderdale. I will recommend this unit to anyone who is staying in ft. Lauderdale rather they are on vacation or a romantic getaway. Property is AMAZING!!

  great room and view..........enjoyed it too bad cell phone reception is sporadic there...........not room fault only other issue was that dryer down on floor 3 did not work hardly .......had clothes in there for 1 1/2 hours and still was not dry!

  My wife and girls, as well as myself fell in luv with the Pelican. Wow!! What a beautiful hotel and the beach is to die for!! The staff is super friendly! Definately a great deal for the money!
