Really enjoyed staying in this condo with my family. The unit was clean, well-furnished and had a good Internet connection. The kitchen was well stocked – coffee maker, filters, cleaners, towels and most important cookware, tableware and utensils. I did a lot of cooking on this trip. Having a wood-burning fireplace kept the living room area nice and cozy. The heaters throughout the unit kept it plenty warm. The layout is great for families with kids (4 bunk beds!) but also has a private bedroom downstairs for those wanting a romantic get-away. This unit in the complex is also very close to the Jacuzzi and laundry room. I’m considering booking for a girls’ weekend; we’ll just have to draw straws for the bunk beds. You’d have to walk about ¼ mile to the nearest bus stop, but this unit was in convenient driving distance to the Juniper Springs Resort (Eagle Express chair 15). I would definitely book this unit again!Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: Glad you enjoyed it Monica!

We just got back from a beautiful October weekend in Mammoth. The condo is very clean, easy to find, and well stocked with kitchen/bath/fun supplies (dvd's, cable, many tv's, board games, wii, camp-style bunk beds). The parking is right out front and the jacuzzi is just in the back (large and warm). The condo is in a great area that is private and friendly at the same time. We met several of the neighbors who offerred good advice concerning places to eat and areas to see. It is close to everything, but quiet and peaceful. We would definitely recommend this condo as a fantastic place to stay in Mammoth in any season.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

I can't say enough about our stay here in Mammoth. We had a wonderful time! The cabin was very accommodating and made us feel at home. It was very clean and had everything we needed (ie: kitchen supplies, coffee maker, home essentials, laundry room). It felt very private as well. The home had 3 tv's in every room with video/dvd players and a game box upstairs for the kids and complete with internet access. There was was even a pool and spa by the townhome. Parking was very easy outside the townhome. Bonus: The townhome is located next to the golf course with hiking trails and you can bike or walk to downtown. Photos: The photos do reflect the property accurately Owner: The owners were very helpful and supplied numbers and details on what to do in the area or with the home. HIghly recommend staying here. We would like to return during the winter season as well since it was located near the lodge/lift.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, families with young children, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: We're so glad that you enjoyed the condo and Mammoth. Its fantastic up there in the summer! We spent a lot of time and effort remodeling the condo and its great to hear that you really liked it.

About the owner: I have been coming up to Mammoth since the 1970s when I was a kid and while we originally came up just for skiing we found that the peace and quiet of summer was just as nice. Eventually my family sold their condo but my wife and I have been renting ever since and we have wanted to become owners so that we could visit our 'home' instead of always staying in different, and somewhat random places. We finally had the opportunity to buy a bank owned condo in 2011 and after much work it's been transformed into the place we always wanted. With two kids that now love Mammoth as much as we do we come up as often as possible and love both summer and winter.
Why the Owner Chose Bigwood:
Bigwood has a community feel which we haven't experienced at other condo complexes. Most of the units are not used as rentals and most owners either live there or visit frequently and you seem to see the same people over and over which is certainly fun for the kids. In addition the road ends just a few hundred feet down Majestic Pines as it runs into Sierra Star Golf Club so there is virtually no traffic and is very quiet. The individual garage and 2 ski lockers made it perfect for the winter as well.
