Enjoy the wonderful weather and the warm breezes that surround Coronado, Panama. Our home is in the heart of all the activites the Pacific Beaches have to offer, yet it's within a quiet gated neighborhood of the Equestrian Club. Here you'll find a comfortable home with 3 living areas and a well equipped kitchen complete with a blender for your favorite tropical drinks. There are 3 bedrooms each with their own bathroom. The Master Bedroom has a king-sized bed and ensuite bathroom with a TV and DVD player. The second bedroom has a queen-sized bed with a seperate bathroom and the third bedroom has 2 twin beds and a seperate bathroom. All rooms have ample closet space and air conditioning. You'll be able to unwind after a day of adventures (if you choose to leave) in your own large back yard that features a sparkling swimming pool and jacuzzi. Read a good book while relaxing in a hammock and listening to the sounds of several varieties of birds. There are lots of good restaurants in the area, and several are within walking distance from the house. Walk for miles on stretches of sandy beach where quite often you will not see anyone else.
The town of El Valle is a short 35 minute drive where you'll find an open-air market, wonderful restaurants, waterfalls and Zip-Lining. If you're really adventurous and love to hike, the Rio-Indio-Lodge offers day excursions where you'll hike for about 2 hours through some beautiful countryside to a refreshing swimming hole with a waterfall. Bring good hiking shoes.
If you want a change of pace, Panama City is only about an hour away. Take a partial day or full day transit tour on the Panama Canal. They only leave on certain days so you'll have to plan ahead.
Ride the train from Panama City to Colon that takes you along the isthmus and through a rainforest to the Free Trade Zone where you'll find lots of shopping. But be prepared to get up early as the train leaves at 7:15 a.m.
There is a jungle tour that leaves from Gamboa that is a lot of fun for all ages. You'll see monkeys and slothes and then you'll enjoy a wonderful Panamanian meal. Then choose between kayaking, swimming or fishing.
Don't be afraid to visit during the low season. Because we are located in the 'dry arc' of Panama, we don't get as much rain as Panama City, the Highlands or the Caribbean side of Panama during the rainy season (there are only the 2 seasons here, wet and dry).There are fewer crowds and the temperature is still very pleasant and warm.
No matter what you choose to do, or not to do, you'll find the Country of Panama warm and welcoming.

Good over all stay found the house needed some cleaning and some cooking tools as the one there were burned beyond use, the pool needed major cleaning and as we come on a week end had to clean our selves, to add there has been no chemical added in a while nor was there any to add, talked to the property manger she was really good come by with a pool boy and some new pots, a couple of day after we got there, no close dryer or line to hang on so we had stuff all over the washer worked poorly shook violently when spinning? Tried every thing just had to deal with it. Over lay out of this house pool are where we spent all our time was very good the kitchen very small so did most cooking on the gril out side Great time worth rentingRecommended for: Romantic getaway, age 55+.
Owner response: Thank you so much for renting our house and we are glad you enjoyed your stay. I have addressed the issue with our property manager about the house needing some cleaning as you mentioned. She has since let go of the previous cleaning crew and there is now a crew that is doing a wonderful job. She does inspect the house prior to guests arriving to ensure there are clean linens, the bathrooms and kitchen have been cleaned and the floors have been swept and mopped. Cleanliness is of the utmost importance to us and we'll make every effort to make sure our guests are comfortable. We've also replaced all old pots and pans and with new ones as well as added new utensils. In regards to the pool, the caretaker does get Sundays off. A lot of leaves can fall into the pool in a day. However, I can rest assure you that there is a maintenance schedule for the chemicals etc. For obvious reasons, we cannot leave the chemicals out for our guests to add themselves. The washing machine is new, purchased in February. It was determined that the shaking was because the machine was not leveled properly and the stabilizers broke. That has been repaired and there is now a new dryer so guests don't need to use the rack. Thank you for your comments and concerns and we hope to have you as our guests again in the future.

About the owner: We are a married couple who reside in Washington State. When the time comes, we plan to retire in Panama.
Why the Owner Chose Playa Coronado:
We visited Panama for the first time in February 2011. That was all it took. We fell in love with the lifestyle, the people and of course the weather.
So the hunt was on for a vacation property. We made 3 more trips that year before finally choosing this house to purchase. We choose Coronado because of it's central location to everything...beaches, mountains, shopping and restaurants.
The house has a open feeling with breezes throughout.
