Thank you for allowing us to stay at Cajun Pondside Cabin. The craftsmanship and the decor of the cabin was truly amazing. The cabin was clean and such a peaceful place. Jeff and Cindy took great consideration and thought in providing us with food and many extra amenities. We enjoy the fishing, riding the paddle boat, eating in, eating out and just relax. I can't think of anything bad to say other than that we accidentally dropped and broke one your green plate :(. However we do plan to come back again and next time will bring Jeff and Cindy a present to make it up!Recommended for: Families with young children, people with disabilities, sightseeing, age 55+.
Owner response: Thank you for such a kind review, I regret that we were not able to meet you. Don't worry about the plate I should be able to replace. Looking forward to meeting you next time! Jeff & Cindy

My husband and I needed to just get away and this was the perfect place to do that. The Cabin was beautiful and the pond was so peaceful. It is a great place to go for some romatic time together. The Cabin was clean and the refrigerator and freezer were stocked with all kinds of food, fresh yard eggs, breakfast sausage, biscuits, bottle water, cold drinks, etc. and the freezer had all kinds of food in it and ice cream. Everything I have read about this Cabin it true. The owners, Jeff & Cindy, are wonderful people and so friendly and helpful, and they brought us hot smoked boudin whenever we arrived. The fishing was great, we fished off the porch of the cabin and from the gabzo. We are already planning on trying to set up another time to go back, wish we could have stayed longer than two nights. All the pictures that are posted of the Cabin and pond are just like it was, just beautiful and awesome place to stay. We highly recommend this place for a very romatic, relaxing and peaceful getaway for anyone.Recommended for: Families with young children, people with disabilities, girls getaway, romantic getaway, age 55+.
Owner response: We are so happy that you were able To have some quiet relaxing time at Our cabin! Hope to see you again!! Jeff & Cindy

Cajun pondside cabin was the best vacation my family has ever been on. We even have plans on reserving the cabin again before the end of the summer. That cabin just has a way of washing all of your troubles away and makes you want to have all the fun you can. I still haven't stopped smiling and talking about it. Thank you so much for everything. The cabin owners are the best.Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, girls getaway, romantic getaway, age 55+.
Owner response: So happy you enjoyed your stay! Looking forward too having you again this summer! Thanks for the great review! Jeff & Cindy

My partner and I stayed at the Cajun pondside cabin. We kept exclaiming "the kids would love this!" although it is also a perfect romantic spot for a couple. The pond is stocked with fish, and a duck swam around us as we ate breakfast on the front porch. At night, this place is a wonderland of subtle lights and frogs and crickets chirping. The cabin is exceptionally clean, charming and comfortable. Both Jeff and Cindy, our hosts, introduced themselves and were helpful in every way. They stock the refrigerator, which is a really nice perk. I miss it already, and I hope we can return in the near future! Although neither of us have a physical disability, I think this property would be very easy to access if you did, and I'm sure owners would work with you on this.Recommended for: Families with young children, people with disabilities, romantic getaway, age 55+.
Owner response: Thank you Christine! I am so happy you enjoyed your stay, and look forward to your return! Cindy O

WOW! Awesome! The Cabin is made of beautiful wood by a very gifted craftsman. The cabin is comfortable, quite, cool and very relaxing. A wonderful shower and roomy bathroom. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. Including fresh eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits, sodas, ice cream and snacks. The porch sits out over the water and we spent most of our stay on it drinking coffee in the morning and sipping cocktails in the evening. We also caught fished from the porch. We were warmly greeted by the owner Jeff who is the friendliest owner you will ever meet. He sat and chatted with us, telling us all about the property, his family and his work. He made sure we were comfortable then he brought cracklin, smoked boudin, jalapeno poppers and chicken sausage. Which was all superb typical Cajun food. I'm originally from the area and have a lot of family who visited with us at the property. They were all in awe and amazed at the property. A lot of thought, planning and expertise went into the entire property. We did not want to leave and can't wait to visit again. You will not be disappointed if you choose to spend time at this wonderful property.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, families with young children, families with teenagers, people with disabilities, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+.
Owner response: Thank You!! What a great review! You two were a pleasure to have in our cabin. Hope to see you real soon!! Cindy & Jeff

This place is truly awesome. My husband and I stayed for two nights recently, and were thrilled with not only the cabin itself, but the owners, who made ours a perfect stay. Shortly after arriving, we were greeted by Cindy--with warm boudin and cracklins in hand. The refrigerator was stocked with bacon, sausage, fresh eggs, etc, as well as food in the freezer. We caught lots of fish--- and there is a large sink on the porch (which you can fish off of) where you can clean fish, which makes it very convenient. The cabin is located close to Lafayette, so if you need anything like bait, etc., you can retrieve it quickly. Everything is immaculately kept - clean and beautiful. If you are looking for a relaxing time with super hosts, this is the place for you.Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, people with disabilities, girls getaway, romantic getaway, age 55+.
Owner response: So very glad you two enjoyed!! Thanks for the great review!!

If you are looking for paradise, you must visit the Cajun Pondside Cabin. It's a little piece of heaven. From the time you arrive at Cindy's and Jeff's home, the red carpet is laid out for you. I am 65 and I haven't met a sweeter couple. There are ducks cranes and other beautiful things all around. The cabin is awesome. And it is stocked with all sorts of fruit, fresh eggs from their own chickens. The surroundings of the cabin is beautiful with lots of greenery and trees. They even have a beach for the kids to play at. The night view of the cabin with all the many lites is breath taking. It is so peaceful and so serene. A great place to bring the family or a honeymoon or just to get some peace and quiet. They cabin has everything you can think of all linen, dishes and anything you might need. They even had a cork screw that's how detailed they are. The men with us enjoyed fishing, they caught about 19 in all. Jeff provided us with a tank, largre skillet and everything we needed for our fish fry. Five stars are not enough, but that's all they had to give. I never met a friendlyer couple, Jeff even brought us homemade boudin and other goodies. My group is already talking about another trip there soon. Visit there soon, I promise you won't be disappointed! Cindy and Jeff thank you for wonderful hospitality and just for making us feel so loved and giving us a wonderful experience. We will never forget it or you. The cabin is everything and more. The listing is very accurate with the cabin being exceptionally clean with everything you need to make it a very comfortable, relaxing stay. Sitting out on the porch and watching the ducks swim around was awsome. Jeff and Cindy are a great team in taking care of all your questions and being available if you need anything. It is so beautiful at night with the lights around the pond. It is as if you are on a houseboat that is anchored. My daughter and I loved it and would love to return. I would certainly not hesitate to recommend this cabin to anyone. Thank you Cindy and Jeff for a delightful stay.
