  My family of 7 enjoyed a wonderful vacation at Breakaway, we met my inlaws there and had a very relaxing week and enjoyed the house very much. Sunset properties was very accomodating to our late saturday arrival due to us getting lost and were more than helpful when we called for directions. I did not notice any pet hair or anything less than clean at the house and the door latch must have been fixed because there was not an issue and we had several small children with us. All in all we enjoyed our family vacation and thought this was a great house for the price and we are currently looking at booking it again for this summer!

  Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, families with young children.

  This rental became the worst accommodations of our experience. Upon arrival in what was supposed to be a pet free rental(at the time), one of our couples had allergic reaction to pet hair all over the bed. So we spent one afternoon with the maid service asking us to prove the presence of pet hair. Was very easy to prove as the pet hair was all over the room. Most of the T.V. remotes were not working. Had to wait for serviceman to fix those. We spent one day with the carpet cleaners in our rental all day, very disruptive. The beds were the worst I've every experienced including the summer camp I have attended as a leader with an elementary group. They were literally like sleeping on boards. Even our children, usually can sleep on anything, complained about the beds. The staff at Sunset offered no discount or compensation. They simply stated they took care of it so there was not sufficient inconvenience. I noticed now the listing shows pet friendly. REALLY?? Also, the front windows were damaged making it difficulty to see out. The sliding glass door going to the patio would not latch which is dangerous when you have young children. These different items required at least 2 days of our time dealing with the repair people and the Sunset people were indifferent.

  Owner response: We have always prided ourselves in having one of the few pet friendly properties in the area. The guest may have misread the description but nothing on it has been changed. Everything that could be done to accommodate their issues was done during their stay. The owner of the property paid to have the carpets cleaned and Sunset Properties immediately fixed all of the maintenance issues as soon as they were made aware of the situation. The guest chose to stay while the carpet cleaning, housekeeping and any maintenance calls took place. Their oversight of this work was certainly not necessary and in fact they were given every opportunity to leave and enjoy their trip while Sunset Properties cared for the problems. We are confused as to why this guest decided to write a review so long after their stay. They stayed in this home 8 months ago and since then we have had 15 different families stay in the home without any problems.
