A truly beautiful house that feels like home the moment you walk in. It was such a treat to stay in this well-equipped, beautifully decorated house. I was travelling with a friend that appreciated having his own "casita" all to himself. It's in a perfect location - very close to the Paseo de Montejo (Merida's historic "Champs d'Elysee") and also the city square, Santa Lucia square (entertainment on Thursday nights and Sundays) and Santa Ana (great local food). After a day seeing the sights what a great place to come back to have a swim and catch the afternoon breezes on the roof with a homemade margarita. An oasis in the middle of the city. Deborah, the property manager was very helpful and went out of her way to drop by and say hello and make sure everything was fine. My only complaint is that I had to come home.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Casa Hermana is a beautifully restored colonial home. The attention to detail in the furnishings and decor are fabulous. The home is completely as advertised but doesn't include how comfortable you will feel when you enter this home. It is extremely well cared for and very clean. We found the location to be very good and within walking distance to many shops and restaurants. The property manager was very helpful and had lots of local knowledge. What we enjoyed the most was being able to leave the windows open at night for the cooling breezes and feeling very safe to do so. We had to cut our vacation short but hope to return to Casa Hermana very soon. We would highly recommend this vacation home.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

My wife and I and three of our friends rented Casa Hermana for two weeks in Jan. We knew the property was nice from the the photos on VRBO but we were still pleasantly surprised at how nice it was in person. We all truly enjoyed our stay. The house is clean and well cared for. The property manager is more than willing to help in any way she can. Casa Hermana is centrally located, within easy walking distance of several parks, Paseo Montejo and the Plaza Grande in the center of the city. We will definitely try to rent Casa Hermana again when we return to Merida.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, girls getaway.
