Note that this home is run and managed by the owners. It is not run by a management company who may or may not be legit. Several listings on VRBO are run by a particular management company who is known to shortchange owners and renters alike. Often times a renter will arrive and be told that the property they originally booked is not available and they will be moved somewhere else.
Some of the management companies will use a single ad to represent several properties. This is against VRBO policy, as legit owners must pay for their property listings individually. One of the highest costs in running a vacation rental is the advertising, and since they use 1 ad for many homes they are circumventing the system. As a renter you are entitled to know which home you are renting and see pictures of it ahead of time. If you notice a listing with no reviews or a 800/877 number to call, beware.
If you inquire with one of the management companies and are told the house you are inquiring about is 'not available' yet they refer you to a different house, think twice. You may be routed to a totally different home upon your arrival and have no choice but to take it after you get off your flight.
In addition, some management companies out there are unscrupulous and will not tell the owner how much guests have actually paid and will not act according to the agreements in place. If they ask you to pay months and months in advance of your booking be sure to inquire about whether the funds are being placed in an escrow account. The management companies will often times hold on to the monies themselves and make use of it (similar to a ponzi scheme), and not hand it to the rightful owners. These management companies will often not reimburse homeowners weeks or months after the renters depart (they may not have the funds to do so). Since you have no direct relationship with the homeowner, you will be subject to the management company's designs.
Before you rent a home, be sure it has reviews and seems legit. Look up the home and the ownership of the home in the Maricopa county real property website. Be sure it belongs to whom you are speaking with. Be sure the management company has a contract in place with the homeowner and is authorized to rent out the home at all.
Real estate can be a dangerous venture, whether you are renting or buying, if you deal with the wrong people. Be sure. Be Safe. Be secure. Know who you are doing business with.

We stayed here for my husbands birthday. Plenty of room for kids and grandkids. First time to have all kids together in 15 years. Was great to have such a beautiful home away from home for the celebration. Kitchen was big enough for all my helpers to cook. Table was big enough for Mexican train!!! Located close to everything you would want or need. Used park across the street for family portraits. Thank you for sharing your home. We will recommend this home to others and will stay here again.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children.

We were looking for a place to stay for Ironman Arizona. We waiting too long to book a hotel in downtown Tempe and stumbled across this gem. This house is a very easy ~12 minute drive to downtown Tempe, especially at 4:00 am on race day. The house itself is in a quiet neighborhood with nice parks, bike lanes and sidewalks, yet extremely close to Whole Foods and many shopping and dining places. The inside of the house is extremely well decorated and comforting. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything one would need to cook meals at home. The master bedroom and bath are HUGE! I would definitely recommend this house and would have no issue staying here again. In fact, I would have preferred to stay, but we had to go back to the yucky and cold weather of PA.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, sightseeing, families with young children.

It was our first time to rent a house and it was a great experience. The owner was very responsive to any need or concern we had. The location was great. The home was larger than we expected and was very clean and had everything we could possibly need. More than enuf room for our four couples. Would rent again..... Dessie's was a great place for breakfast. We ate there twice.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children.

This is a wonderful home to build a base for your vacation. My husband and I were particularly impressed by how clean and new everything was. The Island themed master bedroom was adorable. We appreciated the full sized desk in the master bedroom and being able to walk to the Chandler mall area. The owners have created a very comfortable space for guests. Will definitely return! This home is fantastic. There were 3 couples who spent the week in this fabulous home. It was well equipped and nicely decorated. The floor plan worked well with our group. The outside area is lovely with the views, especially in the evenings. The owner is especially good to work with. We all would recommend this home for any type of group: families, friends, etc. We would absolutely rent it again.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, girls getaway, families with young children.

Our group had a 2 week stay at this nice home in a great, quiet location,walking distance to shopping,restaurants,sports bars,etc...short drives to the golf courses. This Chandler home is very clean,modern,and furnished nicely, with nice comfortable beds...nice private backyard, with covered patio and gas bbq and a good size pool!....also,homeowner was very accommodating, we had everything we needed!!...we'll be back!....Did you find this review helpful?
