My family and I have gone to this house for several years and it's perfect! Across the street from the beach, the porch is great for naps and chats. Very relaxing! And a fantastic getaway.Recommended for: Age 55+, pet owners, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: We are so glad that your family & friends enjoyed the relaxation & closness of the beach. The young kids had a blast on the hugh porch as well as the playground. We hope you continue your tradition of visiting in our family home.

With a large family and a budget, we tried our first vacation rental. Our expectations were modest, yet when we arrived at this quaint, large, 100 year old house in Grand Beach, we were charmed and surprised at how close it was to the Lake (literally across the street). Further how warm and inviting the home was with everything one would need to have an enjoyable vacation. The beach was "Grand" and the sunsets and cocktails were amazing ,(enjoyed from the beach, gazing West or from a friendly neighbor's deck overlooking the lake). You soon forgot you were in the Midwest. Though air conditioning was not in the home, the open windows and stiff breezes made this late July, early August experience quite comfortable, with an added bonus of the sound of the waves serenading you to sleep each night. The lake was very warm and we had the benefit of very calm days, allowing my kids to get in the water at sunrise and pull them out kicking and screaming at sunset. Needless to say, it was an extremely memorable and wonderful 7 days. If you are looking for an old fashion "trip to the shore" this is your place.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.
Owner response: I am so glad that your family enjoyed the beach! Having the lifeguard is a real bonus. Having the range of activities in New Buffalo was lots of fun also.

About the owner: My family has spent many generations enjoying the pleasant surroundings here. The draw varies from golf, biking, sunset viewing or simply relaxing, but the sheer delight of Grand Beach remains.
Why the Owner Chose Grand Beach:
This home is a perfect respite from everyday stress. The spacious front & side porches are great for relaxing. The undulating dunes and the wooded landscapes of the village charm the soul.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
This property offers something for anyone. The electronic geek can enjoy the WiFi while his golfing buddy hits the links. Or rent a wave runner or a kayak and test the waves today. The fully stocked kitchen or grill makes prepping easy so all can rehash the days events at the spacious table. Prefer to order food? Lots of locals deliver. Then plan the next day's adventures --beaching, golfing, shopping, museum visiting, playing tennis, biking on the trails, visiting the International Friendship Garden, or testing Lady Luck at the casino.
