What a great place! We came here for a girls' weekend getaway and had a blast! The house itself is great -- extremely comfortable beds, bathrooms with modern amenities, a fully stocked kitchen, and charming decor. Being just a short walk from the beach, we took full advantage, spending the day sunbathing and enjoying a sunset picnic. During brief periods of rain we were not at all bored, staying entertained in the comfy living areas with games, movies, and good food. This property is the best of both worlds -- easy access from the highway, but it feels completely secluded once you arrive. Can't wait to come back!Did you find this review helpful? We had a wonderful stay! The home is spacious and welcoming, and the location could not be better. The entire space is decorated beautifully and had plenty of room for our party of five. On a rainy afternoon, we took advantage of the televisions, DVDs and board games that were available at the home, and we even grilled a lovely dinner and s'mores on the grill on the covered porch. The rest of the time when it was sunny, we took the short walk (approximately 5 minutes) to the beautiful, quiet beach and had a great time there as well. Additionally, the owner was very helpful. this summer home provides a perfect summer vaction in beautiful harbor country. you can see and hear the lake from the main floor picture windows. this home also offers all the comforts of a first class hotel. tastefully decorated in the "house and garden" magazine cottage style. all updated living and sleeping suites. really comfortable beds. it is sure to provide wonderful memories, like we experienced, to any lucky guest who stays here.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.
