The Hydrangea Cottage was built at the turn of the century and later a wonderful porch the length of the house was added in the 1930's.
A very cozy cottage within walking distance of 5 restaurants, a great Wine Bar, Historic Fort King George, and the River! Bring your boat, enjoy fishing, and exploring the Georgia Coast!
We are also a short drive (1 hour or less) to St. Simons Island, Cumberland Island, Jekyll Island, and Savannah.
We hope you will enjoy our comfortable getaway in the little town of Darien that has a lot going on!

My stay last fall was wonderful here. I cant imagine staying anywhere else now when i am on the east coast. The owners were wonderful as well. Will be back ! :)Recommended for: Adventure seekers, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Darien is a quaint little riverside town that is very much alive! First Saturdays are always eventful with street vendors and music. The Blessing of the Fleet, during the month of April,is an incredible event that draws a great crowd!

A must stop is the wine bar at Waterfront Wine! Wine tastings are held once a month along with the new addition of a wine cruise to explore the ecosystem along the river! Great restaurants including a fabulous Sunday Brunch at the Darien River House, the Oyster Bar at Skippers, and the Purple Pickle is a favorite for lunch!
