The town of Graton and Forestville are within biking distance and have some of our favorite restaurants: Underwood Bar and Restaurant and Willowwood Cafe.
We can arrange access to places to stay in Napa Valley at the Silverado Country Club and/or Stinson Beach for a few days as well for a very low cost. Logistical planning for your trip including wine tours and reservations for many types of events is available.

We had a wonderful week in Sonoma at this idyllic property. The pool, hot tub and ping-pong table were huge hits with the kids, leaving us parents time to sit back and relax. The house was very comfortable, well-looked after and clean and the property owner (who lives on the property in a small house well tucked behind a fence) was very accommodating and kind. We did see quite a bit of the owner's two small dogs but they were sweet and good company for our dog! The orange tree was in full production while we were there - delicious! We didn't stray far from the house but we did enjoy an afternoon at Lynmar winery and a dinner out at Willow Wood restaurant in Graton, just 3 miles away. A great getaway for families!Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.
Owner response: Katrina. It was a pleasure having you and your family at my home. Hope to see you again. Edie

At the end of a hectic road-trip vacation and family wedding this place was the perfect spot to unwind and enjoy everything the area has to offer. The location is incredible, nestled amongst vineyards and rolling hills with the most idyllic garden and patio it was hard to chose whether to explore the area or lounge near the heated swimming pool. The house had every amenity we could possibly need and the outdoor pool, hot tub and the many varied seating areas left us spoilt for choice on how to relax! On top of that the very friendly owner, Edie, was a most welcoming host and a helpful source of insider local knowledge. We would recommend this place to anyone!Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children.

If you every dreamed about buying a vineyard and living the wine country life, this home is for you! Favorite moments: the beautiful birdsong that fills the house, the sweeping view of the vineyard just beyond the pool, the peace and quiet of the countryside, the historic charm of the property, the great kitchen, the bright colorful interior design of the home. We loved the open floor plan of the living area that not only blends the kitchen/family/eating areas but also lead seamlessly out onto a fabulous patio that is clearly designed and equipped for the California outdoor living lifestyle. It's a great location for visiting both Napa and Sonoma wineries (we zig zagged across both easily), and then having your own little wine country farmhouse to retreat to. The owner is wonderful - gracious, available, and helpful.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.
Owner response: Thank you for the compliment Janeen, Let me know when you want to buy a vineyard. I can do that too as a Real Estate Broker I am full service! I enjoyed meeting you and your husband. I am looking forward to your web site launch someday. Best wishes, Edie

We spent three wonderful nights here with another family and three young kids (between us). The pool and hottub were a hit with everyone. there is a great lawn and views of vineyards. we ate outdoors every night using the new BBQ. The home itself is a work of love, without a vacation rental's standard kitch; Well-equiped kitchen with a great stove, A piano w/ song books, a kids room with books for bedtime. We left the property once during the long weekend and were eager to get back (not for lack of interest in the surrounding environs, there's tons to enjoy, but we just found the place so restful). Highly recommended for a family escape.Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

This is an absolutely fabulous retreat snuggled in the country but with easy access to great restaurants and wine country. (Our favorite restaurants were Underwoods in Graton - about 3 minutes away and The French Garden in town). I went with my wife and grandson and we invited several groups of friends for lunch while we were there. The house is beautifully arranged for entertaining and the kids loved exploring the garden and playing in the pool. This would also be a lovely spot for a romantic get-away and the owner is super easy to deal with. She was full of suggestions and tips and knows the area very well. We felt like we had been to Europe instead of just Northern California!Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, girls getaway.
Owner response: I so enjoyed meeting you and your family.. So glad you had a great time. Edie

Why the Owner Chose Sebastopol:
We were attracted to the quiet street with beautiful views. The property was a vintage farmhouse with an historic watertower which we have lovingly restored. Sebastopol is a family friendly town with lots of diversity. Pacific Coast, Cheese Tours, Farm Trails, Art Tours, and of course Wine and our famous APPLESetc..
The Unique Benefits at this Farmhouse:
We love our country home and would like to open our doors to share it with you. We have enjoyed many gatherings here and love to share the beauty of Sonoma County with others.
