This was a fantastic place for us to celebrate my husband's 50th birthday!! We enjoyed a fantastic meal with room for everyone at the table -- and everyone had a comfortable place to sleep. Steve was incredibly helpful and welcoming. The accommodations were outstanding. The view was spectacular!! The kitchen was terrific. We tried to reserve it for graduation 2014 but it's already booked and I can see why -- it's the perfect place to gather. We had a blast and this location was outstanding. Highly recommended!!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

It was an absolute pleasure to rent this cabin. The transaction went extremely smoothly. In addition, the house was warmly prepared for our welcome (cabin was cleaned and it really has every amenity you can think of). The appliances are all new and everything works very well. It was an absolute beauty to watch it snow as we lay inside the cabin with the fireplace on! Some of the people in our party went skiing at the Greek Peak resort and they absolutely loved it (it was only a half an hour away). The sun sets on the side of the kitchen so as I cooked I watched the sun set and it was absolutely stunning. The cabin comfortably hosted our 10 guests and it really has everything you may need (dishwasher, detergent, grill, fireplace, etc). Everyone left very happy and we hope to return soon! I would definitely highly recommend this to anyone interested in getting away :)Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

This pair of cabins nestled in a grove of oak and maple trees overlooking Cayuga Lake truly is a real treasure. Combining rustic charm (a real log cabin) with modern comforts (nicely renovated bedrooms, basement game room), it is a place where a large family can relax, as we did when we brought together 3 generations of our family for a week in July. The owner has done some wonderful improvements to the property and was very attentive to our needs, replacing a broken washing machine in less than 24 hours. Although the railway does form a modest barrier with the lakeshore, we only once saw a train (and from what we understand that was its last journey) -- and the tracks did not prevent us from fully enjoying the lake -- swimming, kayaking and sailing (we brought our own sailboat) -- from the small beach. The lake is beautifully clear and, except for Saturday afternoons, surprisingly calm and uncrowded even in the summer high season. We could not rate this place more highly and hope to become regular visitors.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, sightseeing.

We just had the best vacation in the Finger Lakes and it was due mostly to the Cayuga Cabins. This property is beautiful and the attention to detail makes the experience perfect. The cabins were stocked with everyhing you need and the grounds were well maintained and spacious. Two cabins with plenty of room for couples and singles to sleep were gorgeous, the indoor wood burning fireplace with the moose above it, the long dining table, the new flatscreen tv's everywhere with satellite, full bathrooms, shaded and sunny decks everywhere, the pool table and dart room, and the second seperate cabin gave everyone something to do inside and gave everyone enough room to relax. The large front lawn, the deck on the boat house and the beach and dock with kayaks were perfect for enjoying the Lake and lakefront. Having chairs everywhere made it easy to relax anywhere on the grounds. The sunsets were amazing and the stars from the dock were the brightest that Ive seen in years. The outdoor firepit made evenings special. this place is stocked and ready to enjoy and with Ithaca 25 minutes to the south and Aurora about 25 minutes to the north, this property is centrally located on the Eastern shore of Lake Cayuga and perfect for visiting King Ferry Winery, Longpoint Winery and Keeley's cheese shop, all of which are indicitive of the charm of the region. I cannot wait to enjoy the Cayuga Cabins again!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 2/2

Everything was as described in the listing. Extremely clean and neat. The owners go out of their way to make it an wonderful experience. Not far from Ithaca and all the great restaurants there but still away from it all. Brought my small sailing boat up and having a private dock made the vacation for me. I would give more stars if I could.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, families with young children, sightseeing.

We recently spent a week at Cayuga Cabins with extended family (12 in all): parents, siblings, spouses, kids and a dog. Whether enjoying dinner at the very large dining table, kayaking, roasting marshmallows at the firepit, watching the sun go down over the lake, or just meditating on the dock, a great time was had by all! There are also many, many activities to enjoy in the surrounding area. The property offered a perfect combination of facilities, grounds, activities and solitude for our entire groupRecommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, pet owners, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

This property is absolutely amazing! We had a 6 couples along and the accommodations were perfect - we visited the area for the great motorcycle riding and Steve was able to handle some of our specific requests which was a nice touch. The great thing about the property is its big enough to allow everyone their own space or to be all together, whether its on the big covered porch overlooking the lake or down at the dock. We highly recommend this owner and property! Thanks Steve! -TylerDid you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

Owner info
Year Purchased: 2011
About the owner: I am a management consultant in New York City. I'm recently engaged to a wonderful woman, and together we enjoy travel, relaxation, great wine, theater, and live music.
Why the Owner Chose Lansing:
I grew up in the Finger Lakes, and graduated from Cornell University in 2001. This is one of the most beautiful areas in the country, and I purchased this property so that I could have a wonderful second home for my family and an exciting side business providing a fun and luxurious retreat for visitors to the region.
The Unique Benefits at this Cabin:
This is one of those properties you have to see to believe. It's amazingly private, yet so convenient to surrounding areas (including Ithaca, a quick 15 minutes away!).
The sound of the rushing water provides instant relaxation, and the cabins just ooze charm - we think you'll love it!
We provide equipment for a number of activities indoors and out, and we also have a dock if you wish to bring in your own boat. Please note that you cannot launch a boat from the property, however a public boat launch is available nearby at Myers Park for a nominal fee.
